Just got a call from the insurance, they want to give me like 550 bucks for my car. The estimate from the shop was over 1200.

What a bunch of blast-holes. They'll be hearing from me until I get all my money.

How much is the car worth in your mind?

Insurance companies always offer low money, the trick is to get some prices of comparable cars to yours and send the details off to your insurance co.

im pretty sure hes talking about the repair job and not the value of the whole car.

Finally got my insurance money. As soon as the check is cashed, my wheels are getting some rubber.

So your not fixing your car and just putting new rubber on it?! :odd:

Fixing my car consisted of buffing out the blue license plate marks, gluing my headlight bracket back together, and some hammering and pulling. I actually bent most of the car back into shape with my hands, civic sheet metal is like paper. The car looks exactly like it did before now, 'cept for a few new small scratches. Plus, I've had my enkei wheels waiting for rubber for over a month now, I think it's about time.

I guess you lucked out then. There isn't any strange new rattles or noises though?

Nope, no new noises, no strange shaking, no pulling to one side, nothing.

EDIT: It's actually faster now, thanks to the speed dent on the fender being a bit enlarged by the crash. Nothing major though, but it's definetly faster.

See, because the dented metal is out of the airflow, and thus there's less aerodynamic drag, and...

But really, you should notice an acceleration difference in first and maybe second gear when you get your rims on. A car's wheels are simply rotating mass, exactly like a flywheel. I did some research, and a flywheel weight reduction like mine has a similar acceleration effect as lightening the car ~10% in first gear. And I'll be damned if taking 250 pounds off my car doesn't make a difference.

Nah, I'm not going to lose any torque. Only momentum. As long as I don't let off the gas I'll be fine, but when I do it'll slow down much quicker than it already does.

Anyway, I just realized the color that I want my wheels. And it's not green. I want ultramarine. The blue. The vivid color that pulls you in and makes you stare at its brilliance. The pigment cost nearly as much as gold back in classical times. I don't even care what it looks like with red; it's just the baddest ass color ever.

TA! I NEED RED CAR/BLUE RIMS PICS.

Red car...Blue rims...Uh huh

Well...Atleast you won't be known as the guy who owns the Christmas-mobile.

Green in the background, blue in the fore. Wonderful! I am seriously wanting to ask local shops how much it would be to paint or powdercoat those Buddy Clubs ultramarine. I'm serious. There are some variations I've got in mind, but basically I just want ultramarine rims.

But this new idea kinda ruins my plan. See, I was going for a red car, gold LCAs, green rims, blue seats...

Now I'll have to get green seats.

I'm not sure if I'm kidding or not. Please, one of you straighten me out.

And cover the hood with a big purple penis. Mmm, thats hot!

No.

I would never get green seats. I like my seats.

EDIT: Speaking of colors, that DA has a yellow driver seat. It's awesome.

Yeah, if you're a fan of McDonalds. Red and yellow should only go together on clowns serving hamburgers, IMO.

There was a CRX here in town that was red with yellow everything (trim, rims, etc) and it looked like a rolling advertisement for the golden arches. :yuck:

I saw a DC2 much like that at King Motorsports, when I went there to pick up some parts. Looked god awful. :yuck:

I've got my enkeis on. Pics will come when I get my camera back from my friend.

But man the grip is just endless, I've had the back wheel airborne on a couple tight corners.

@Toyomatt - You know its bad when an Integra can't even make the color combination look good.

@PerfectBalance - Sweet! Get some pics of you dog legging around a corner if ya can. That'd make one hell of a wallpaper for yourself. 👍

Well, I don't have a computer right now, but that would make an awesome pic.

Thats wrong. Don't ask me why, but after all these years I have a soft spot for any Integra and to see one physically abused like that makes me want to smack the crap out of the owners.

I even gave a "WHAT THE #%@& ARE YOU DOING?!?!" when I saw this guy in town doing atleast a 5 minute burnout in his white '99 IT-R. It almost brought a tear to my eye as I watched the car dissappear within its own tire smoke. :(

The funniest part though was when he came back the next week and wanted to know if any of us wanted to buy it for some retarded amount of money. Yeah, sign me up for a beat on and abused car.

Hehe, I've been there before. It was a 240sx in my case, though. Saw some less than smart person doing a "KILLER BURNOUT!" in a parking lot, knocked on his window, and asked him if he "thought he was cool". He answered yes, I shook my head, and left. Weeks later he asked if I wanted to buy the car. I laughed in his face.

I saw an ad for a EG civic with its stock 1.6L sohc vtec engine for sale, in the ad it described how good it would do burnouts, and that it was always looked after and reliable..... "selling on behalf of mother"

was very lol'able.

That would be lol-age for me. It's "Burnout ability" and "Reliability" on the same description, really is quite the oxymoron.

HAHAHA! "I've done over 1000 burnouts in this ride and it still purrs like a sewing machine sewing through sheet metal, its very reliable!"

I can see that ad actually drawing in the "ricer" crowd though, or atleast seem cool to some young kid who knows nothing about cars other than being fast and furious. :indiff:
