No. None of this kind of information is stored in the gamesave, only on the DVD and the PS2's memory, so you can only achieve it by modifying either the DVD (edit the iso and reburn, though no-one knows what codes to modify yet exactly and you'd have to have a modded ps2) or the Memory, which only devices like the AR and AR Max can and do.
 
Tried the V2 codes last night and - it works :D .

Thanks to everybody who contributed for this great finding.

HK track is hell of the track, when I first saw it it seemed like very dark track to me, but it is very well litted and enyjojable to ride - one of the best city tracks so far in the series. It made me drool for Rome Night again in this graphic.

Also, have to agree thet HK track is not fully polished (graphic and sound), so in the final version we can expect futher improvement.

Hope that someone will crack some other features soon.
 
Damn, I cant get the Hong Kong code to work.

I have GTP PAL with PAL XPLODER V2 (does it make a difference if its the 'DVD PRO' version of V2)? and its not working!

Its locking up just as that other guy said his was.

I have tried it without the memory car, with the memory card and pulling it out at the track selection screen. Its so annoying, I really wanna see what this track is like.

Any ideas?

I think you own all versions of Prologue, can you verify that using AR or AR Max will work for the Korean version?

Hve you put the "()" around the (M) for mastercode? It is very important for software to determine master code from other codes. Also, check the codes three-times.

And notice that HK won't run insted of NY unless you disable GCN track in list of cheats.
 
So, does the Master codes 'name' HAVE to be (M)???

There is no 'Disable GCN' code in the list. I am presuming thats Grand Canyon North. Do you mean it wont work if I've enabled that code (whatever that is?)

I am going to change master code name and see if that fixes it.

EDIT - Changed Mastercode name to (M) and did nothing. Codes are definately correct.

Also, how to you know which 0 and F to use. 0 and O are repeated twice I think on the same screen, even though when typed they look exactly the same. 60hrtz code works fine for me so i am definately entering them correctly, it just locks up when it loads the track after car selection.
 
Have you put codes for both Hong Kong and Grand Canyon North? Only activate one like Arwin said, it works for me and I am using Xploder V4 and the track is great. Awesome find to those who discovered it.

1.Make sure that you don't have any GT4 Prologue save data on Memory Card 1.If you do the code won't work.
2.Xploder doesn't use the letter "O" so those are all zero's.
3.It doesn't matter whether you type in (M) or Mastercode.I always use the latter but you can use wichever you want.
4.Double check the codes,if one letter or number is wrong the code won't work.
5.Don't use the Hong Kong track code and the Grand Canyon Nort code simultaneously.Why you ask?Well because both of them replace the New York track.

Hmm, I am going to have to suss it out a bit more. There was no code for GCN posted for XPLODER (only for AR2 and ARMAX) so I haven't entered that in.

I'll have a play around with it but I've triple checked the codes and they are all fine so maybe its just my PS2.
 
Hi guys. Have you taken a look at the credits section. I have the chinese version and just for curiosity I checked the credits section and I found credits for Laguna Seca and Hyundai cars. Yet non of this is in the game. Or so it seems.
 
I'm using the oldest AR v2 (the one with 1456E7A5 format) and loading the hong kong track locks up too on me :irked:
Maybe it's just the older version to blame because other codes work fine..

Yes, the Y-fix code works, and I know that the 60hrtx mode is working cause the music is faster and my TV changes to NTSC mode.

Will those new codes you posted work for XPLODER V2?

If not, would someone be kind enough to convert the codes to XPLODER V2 format (like someone did previously with the other AR2 codes).

Yes, the master code is used for copying data from memory card to Playstation's memory and only a few different codes exist for each version of Action replay.
I'm not familiar with Xploder codes yet and so on but I'll do some studying tomorrow.. also found out that the mega turbo code for 1456E7A5 had errors, this one should work:

can anyone confirm that those codes work with Gameshark2 v2 (PAL) - GS2 is supposed to be AR2 analogue or clone... anyway, it's 02:22 and i'll get some sleep and i hope tomorrow i can visit virtual Hong Kong :)
 
How come nither the old AR2 code nor AR V2 code will work

i got a chinese edition but everything turns to black screen right after the conpyright screen

hope somebody can help me

As for different gamesharks and other clones, they've each one got their own encryption and you need the right program to convert codes between them, like this one: http://coder.ilumnia4free.de/PHP/Portal-english/apportal/PS2-Tools/MultilineConverter.rar :D
I'll post later the master codes for each device because they need a bit more tweaking than just converting to another format..
 
woo hoo, got to see Hong Kong, I unplugged everything except AR2 and a DS2 and then played the track.

After that, I plugged my DFP back in, my memcard, loaded my saved game then drove around Hong Kong in an Elise with the AI on Pro.

I saved the replay, then reloaded without the AR2...

The replay plays, and as Arwin said, I drove right into the first wall on the New York track. I was expecting the AI to follow me, but they drove around New York instead???? Is the AI calculated every time???? So why can't we have AI in multiplayer or network games, since if the replay plays back the same why wouldnt the AI play the same on another PS2?

I looked at the AR2 codes, and they look for "mk" at some address in memory, then write "newyork hongkong" a bit after it, for Grand Canyon North it seems to just write "newyork" a bit before then 0's out something????

I tried replacing "hongkong" with "gymkhana" but it just locked the ps2 up :(

I wish someone would come up with an AR2 code to dump a block of memory to screen, or memory card or something, how the hell do people hack codes on a stock ps2??? Even my multiface on the old speccy had a built in disassembler...

/me gets all nostalgic, the good olde days....
