How do you unlock in game music?

I was looking through the options & it shows that you can have in game music while racing, but you have to unlock it. I'm really curious about how to unlock it, it would be much appreciated if someone can answer this for me.👍

Like Step B? I've done that, but i still don't hear music while i race?

Are the music files on your memory stick? Do you have race BGM switched on?

Are your music files in MP3 format, with a 44.1 khz sampling rate, and in either the MUSIC or MUSIC/GTPSP MUSIC folder on the Memory Stick in your PSP or on the PSPGo's internal memory, BGM turned on in the options, and the proper folder selected?

Without looking at the manual, provided in the game from the main menu, I believe that covers everything.

this game boggles my mind, i have everything i need turned on, i think...& the music on my memory stick i copied strait off of my PS3, so i'm still not sure what i'm doing wrong.
