How easy/hard did everyone feel the licences were

All I tried for so far was the b and a licences, and I found them pretty easy.  No more than 2-3 attempts tops.  Although I was happy with bronzes, didn't need all golds like some people like to have

the last super test is hard as crap... thats all i have left... gave up yesterday after over an hour and getting within 0.136 seconds!  verrrrry annoying!

Don't I feel like the rookie now...

I had plenty of trouble getting my A and B licenses...decided to work with those for now. I have never played much of the other Gran Turismos though. I hope it gets easier the more I play it. I've worked up a nice little car collection now and have a Mustang Cobra all souped up...only problem is I fly off the track on corners....still having trouble with braking and turning. Maybe there is a part or tune up I can add that will make those turns easier?????

I've been noticing that a lot of people are going out and buying the Mustangs and trickin em out.   Is there something about this car i dont know about?  I tried it and i personally wasnt impressed.  I got the F1 car and that thing is the best thing ever.  I also think that the Suzuki Escudo (Pikes Peak version) is not that good at all.  I mean, sure it goes like 300 mph but where can you honestly get up to speeds like that?  the handling is horrible too.  Catcha guys later!

Untill I got to the AI licences I thought they were easy, all I got are bronze an a couple of silvers. Its going to take some time to get all golds. After playing a while I will go back an work on getting the gold....

Has anyone tried the Escudo without boosting the power to the maximum?

Perhaps you'll find it's not as 'sucky' as everyone seems to think.  Real drivers know that 1800 horsepower is pointless on a road course of any type.

I've gotten to 247 MPH on the Tokyo track!  And I race with mine all the time at 1800 HP.  I love the crazy speeds it can get up to on the straights.  It was my favorite car in GT2, but it's even better now that it has about double the HP.

The license tests (up to Super) were very easy to get bronze on, but I think PD made it easy to get bronze but made the real challenge getting gold. It took me 3 hours to get all gold on the B license, with B-8 taking 45 minutes of those 3 hours. B-8 (to get a gold on) and S-8 (just to pass) were the hardest tests out of all the license tests.

I got gold in both my A and B license tests. Since I was aiming for gold they took me a fair amount of time. But i found that it was easy to get bronze on any license test up to IA. At that point a few courses were even hard to get bronze. And the Super License is the hardest hing ive seen yet in a GT game. Ive got 2 out of te 8 tests and they both took me a good time to get.

Thanks for everyone's help on this but I managed to get my ib and ia licence's. I just stuck at it.

For everyone else out there still trying just stick with it!

Viper's Rule

The GT40 took me a while but I eventually got a handle on it and after about 45 minutes I got bronze on it, never tried for anything higher jus left it at that. S8 was frieken annoying. I could almost kill PD after a week of trying to get that, lol.

The trick to the GT40 test (well for me) was where to mount the curbs harshly and where to avoid them like the plauge. The first chicane I am usually able to either bomb straight through, or mount the curbs a bit to harshly and smack into the pitlane wall. I must admit most licences I find quite fun, it's become sorta a major part of the GT experience for me.

I finished the A and B licences fairly quickly after getting the game, they're good for the basic race skills. IB didn't take me long either, but IA took me ages. After that, I had access to almost every race in the game, so I didn't even attempt S until I'd managed a fair chunk of beginner and amateur, and had a crack at professional.
After finishing beginner league completely and most of amateur league, I gave the game a rest for a few months while I went to uni etc. I just got back into it a month or so ago, and the first thing I tried was the S licence. I finished all 8 races with bronze in about 2 days, and I kind of sat there awestruck for another day or so after that.
Since then I've been significantly improving my speeds and times, and I can handle quite powerful cars now with a reasonable degree of finesse, where before I was well acquainted with almost every sand trap in the game.

The moral of the story? Sometimes it's better to leave the whole thing behind for a little while and focus on something else. Spending a week trying the same test is definitely not conducive to improving your times.

And caffeine doesn't help! Trust me! It just makes you twitchier and more prone to controller abuse

I found most, if not all licences fairly easy to get on bronze (- the last S test).
To get them on gold is a different story all together, damn difficult.

All license tests are very easy to bronze apart from S2 and S8.
Getting gold is harder but not to hard apart from the the S license tests. These take me approx 1 to 2 hours work to get gold if I choose to redo them.

OLD THREAD ALERT!

Anyway, I thought they were a lot of fun. Going for gold five times made for a fun and challenging experience. I hope the license test in GT4 will be the same.

Gday guys this is my first post on these forums and these seem to be the best forums around for GT3. I do all the licence tests before i even start doing races, I just like to get them out of the way. All of them are fairly easy antill u reach the S licences but there are only a couple of hard ones in that, you just have to stick at it and work the times down till you pass.
