How many more tracks does GT Sport need?

This is a serious thread, not another wishlist.

Sounds like a wishlist. The number of tracks suffice but as with everything, more tracks are always a good thing.

None, it doesn't need any to be a great game. A problem with adding lots of tracks is that each individual track will appear less frequently in Sport Mode. Personally I want my favourite tracks, like Suzuka and Brands, to be appearing in a good race once every 1-2 weeks ideally. But of course, everyone's tastes are different, so it causes a bit of a conundrum.

A lot. Different strokes for different folks, some people like tight, technical stuff, some like wide, fast flowing tracks, some like flat tracks, some enjoy elevation changes, positive camber corners, negative camber etc. So you need many tracks so you can have a few tracks for each person.

But since it's become a wishlist thread: Spa, Mugello, Zandvoort, Oulton, Knockhill, Donnington, Monaco, Hungaroring, Jerez and some more for sure

Nurburgring (too narrow to be a real RACE track)
Racing at the Nordschleife for me has always been about consistently and avoiding mistakes rather than racing against other drivers. If I've gained positions then that's usually due to the misfortune of others. Part of it's allure I suppose. Clean overtaking is a challenge though and generally involves putting two wheels in the grass!

It‘s also about working together with other drivers. If you hold someone up leave him through and try following him, otherwise backmarkers will catch up and overtake on the Döttinger Höhe :D

And I really hope they star charging for the new updates so people stop complaining you want a lot more stuff then pay more.

The way this Sport Mode is, not a huge amount. From replies in gtp threads, many people are still trying to sort out the current tracks(still, the more tracks the better like below).

On the flip side, from an Arcade and Campaign Mode perspective, the more tracks the better, towards replayability.

I'm always glad to see new tracks added. The new DT was awesome and Le Mans has been sorely missed (though I'm still having flashbacks to the 24h race in GT5, where it rained all bloody night and I had the same playlist playing over and over again :banghead:). That being said, I'm probably one of the few people who like the way PD are drip-feeding tracks into the game.

Include me in that. Is there one more who agrees?

We have an example of this is the past... Forza 4 had a great track list... Forza 5... didn't...

We see how a generational jump was the cause of this.

However saying that, I think everyone here would agree that the GT6 track list was voluminous and of a high quality.

I look at something like Sierra and Midfield and think that even a straight port would do as the quality seemed more than adequate.

So as I see it, I see no reason why GTS does not have every track and every premium car from GT6.

I suspect there's a portion of people at PD who would perhaps think they are retreading the near past?

All tracks at least from 6, if not all previous tracks from GT's last.

Love Ascari, Spa, Monaco and more. Many original tracks also, too many to mention.

That and maybe more. Variety is always good.

I have 7 favourite tracks. Nordschliefe, Monza and Circuit De La Sarthe are in GT Sport.

While 4 I hope will come to GT Sport which is Spa, Old Hockenheim (highly unlikely), Imola and Istanbul Park.

For me if a racing game has my favourite tracks Im more than happy to be honest.

Honestly, and realistically, maybe 4-5 more.

Spa is a MUST HAVE for starters.
Fuji/Laguna Seca,
Shanghai, (which I remember they claimed they were working on)
Deep Forest,
and Grand Valley Speedway/Trial Mountain.

In a fantasy world where PD is dropping tracks like I drop footballs

No limit. Add them ALL.

Europe tracks
Australian Tracks
American Tracks
Asian Tracks
African Tracks
South American Tracks
Canadian Tracks

GOTTA HAVE EM ALL!

As many as possible.

Gran Turismo track pack
Gran Turismo 2 famtasy track pack
Gran Turismo 3 famtasy track pack
Gran Turismo 4 fantasy track pack.

Why fantasy? No licencng needed to complicate matters.

Indeed I agree it would be a dream come true if GT Sport brings back fantasy tracks from past GT's.

I hope one day Red Rock Valley will return along with Rome Night from GT2.

Ummm Australian tracks?

Gold Coast Street circuit
Sandown
Tailem Bend
Townsville
Winton
Newcastle
Symmons Plains
Adelaide
Barbagallo
Hidden Valley
Albert Park
Queensland Raceway
Sydney Motorsports Park

Just to name a few. These beautiful tracks always seem to fly under the radar when everyone is shouting Spa everywhere. Sad really.

Here are my picks for returning real-world circuits:
-Fuji Speedway (I'd add this for the Gr.2 event)
-Spa-Francorchamps (could be another Gr.1 Endurance event, IMO)
-Laguna Seca (could be ideal for another Gr.3 Endurance)
-Twin Ring Motegi
-Daytona (the infield course could be good for another Gr.3 Endurance, or Gr.1.)
-Indianapolis
-Monaco GP/Cote d'Azur (would be good for the F1500 event, or one of the Red Bull X-racer events)
-Silverstone (see Spa comments)
-Goodwood Hillclimb
-Red Bull Ring
-Sonoma Raceway (previously known as Infineon, and before that, Sears Point)
-Circuit de Valencia
-Ascari Race Resort

And here are my picks for returning original circuits:
-Matterhorn
-Eiger Norwand
-Deep Forest
-Trial Mountain
-Grand Valley
-Tokyo R246
-Rome
-New York City
-Seattle
-Toscana
-Apricot Hill
-Cape Ring
-El Capitan
-Grand Canyon
-Swiss Alps
-Tahiti Maze
-Complex String
-Sierra Circuit

I'm not a massive fan of Madrid nor London, personally, but for the sake of them being new (i.e. easier to spruce-up) and being interesting street circuits, I wouldn't mind them returning. I think they'd especially be good for races that use cars with lower horsepower, maybe Gr.4 at most. I'm also unsure about Midfield, since it seems a lot like Kyoto Miyabi and/or Dragon Trail Seaside are both pretty similar to Midfield in some ways. I'm also not sure about the really narrow courses from GT4 that were mostly for rallying (e.g. George V Paris), as much as I like them by themselves - I think they'd be far better as time attack courses like the Goodwood Hillclimb, and not as actual racing courses. And I have a feeling Opera Paris and Hong Kong would be really bad passing courses - like, they'd be the courses where the real winner is determined in the qualifying.

I'd also like to see the scapes from GT4/5/6 to eventually return, as well - I know that some have been remade in Sport already. I really wanna see Ronda again, for example, or Times Square.

well said i am will to pay for that track pack

Why? Are you collecting data for some other purpose?

I reckon the ideal number is somewhere between none and twelve billion.

Your replies crack me up each and every time lol, for that i thank you :D.

@OP; imho PD needs to add 1 track to the game each week (it'll never happen tho >_<)
