How many more tracks does GT Sport need?

Honestly, at this point the game needs to start making side money for it to financially make sense for PD. GT Sport works well as a platform but they need to continue to release free tracks or else it will fragment the player base with diminishing returns. They need to have a more expansive Single Player campaign free DLC to draw more core players back while still dropping new courses and events to keep current players coming back. Financially they need to sell car pack DLC to capitalize on all of their free offerings without diminishing the player base.

I mean I know I'd drop hard cash for a Porsche pack, a 70s/80s Japanese car pack, and $5 for a Delorian so I can't imagine what hardcore car enthusiasts would drop for this game.

So far though, they have us on a constant drip of content that seems to be the minimum to keep me interested. Keeping that up would be the key until GT Sport evolves into a comprehensive and complete racing game for $20 US.

Ummm Australian tracks?

Sydney Motorsports Park

Just to name a few. These beautiful tracks always seem to fly under the radar when everyone is shouting Spa everywhere. Sad really.

Eastern Creek?

You also missed out on the crap we have down here like Wakefield Park.

I would think they are more likely to hit the various UK, FR and US tracks like Oulton Park, Donington, Paul Ricard given that the PS is big news in the EU.

Regarding the classic tracks, I would like the PD to reinterpret them. In particular, Deep Forest and Trial Mountain.

For example, remove those walls and mountains near the asphalt, and give a similar design to Brand Hatch, with escape area, grass and guardrails. But without losing the design and the relief of the track.

Oh yes. Best track in Europe after Spa. Highly unrealistic to be added to the game unfortunately.
It's better than Spa as that track is now covered in run off tarmac. There's nothing to stop it being in the game. It is in other games.

Monoco
Seca
Spa

and weather (Rain and snow)

I appreciate GT giving us these updates.. I have come a long way from being angry at Polyphony from the initial release to what it is today..

FWIW few years ago they added some tarmac run off at Mugello, not as much as Spa but still

This is a serious thread, not another wishlist.

Sounds like a wishlist. The number of tracks suffice but as with everything, more tracks are always a good thing.

Yeah, I probably should have known that asking people how many more tracks should be added before the track list is considered "good"(I say at least 4 more) would result in basically a wishlist thread.

I complete agree with you. I understand that PD is a for profit business and that there is only so much free stuff they can hand out. They have employees to pay who have families to feed, taxes to pay, rent or mortgage payments probably, utilities, and a crap load of other overhead that has to be paid every month. I would be more than happy to pay for DLC car packs and tracks too, maybe add a 4th daily for the people buying track packs.

They are doing amazing job with the updates. IMHO they should keep it free

Personally I am huge fan of classic GT tracks and prefer them so I would like to see them redone. I hope at some point they will do if not for GTS then for the next game.

But if real tracks. I will be happy with any 3 of these tracks. For next game all these must be should be there

1. RB ring
2. Daytona
3. SPA
4. Laguna Seca
5. COTA.
6. Fuji

The more the better. They are building assets so they could be used in future games, so there is no reason to "stop" releasing tracks or cars.

Phillip Island and Albert Park are pretty iconic tracks in international motorsport. I'll add Adelaide as a classic international location as well.

PI would fit the current game as would Albert Park. I'd live Adelaide as a new street circuit. However, out of the three, I'd think Phillip Island would be PD's choice(permanent circuit).

Yeah, Eastern Creek. Wakefield and Calder would be cool, along with the stuff across the pond. But yeah, they'll most likely add Snetterton before any of the Aussie tracks and that makes me sad lol.
