How many of you are having problems with Force Feedback since this new update?

Logi Pro and I don't like how it feels when the front tires lose grip as the car begins to understeer. I hope it's a matter of getting used to it.

TGT. Put in a hundred miles or so today with cars I know, felt fine - perhaps more 'elastic' on the limit, but certainly no worse.

A glitch perhaps? Everyonce in a while my wheel decides to reduce the effort it puts into feedback by about 95%, restarting generally sorts it.

Hy @ all.

I have a modded T300 with an air duct around the engine. With fans for supply and exhaust air. No problems since then.

Since the update i cant say what my fronttire are doing. No response. No ffb effects when im driving over curbs.
And the worst think of all is. I can't tell what steeringangle the front tires have.

I still notice something around the middle position, but then it's just a guessing game.
You don't notice how much you've turned in.

Have already tried different settings in the menu. So far everything was at 10 and in the software max ffb 90%.

On my G923 the FFB max torque has been greatly reduced. At my normal 5 setting, the wheel has a very light feel. I set it to 10 and it still is not as strong as it was at 5 before the update.

Logitech Pro feels extremely different. With the same settings as before update, much less steering feel and torque.

T500RS here too. Wheel felt awful using settings that worked previously. So much lighter when moving, although regular strength if moving very slowly.

Using 10/8 now, seems to be similar strength as I had before with 4/3 and feels like it has more detail as well.

I use 80/100/100/0/0 without boost mode in control panel if anyone is wondering. Although my wheel is nearly dead and only lasts about an hour or so before it needs a little break, even with multiple custom fans!

Edit: posted more details further in thread but even with 10/8 or higher the T500 feels awful, and significantly weaker then previously.

G29 and the feedback from oversteer felt great at torque 7 and sensitivity 6. Now even at 10/10 it feels so spongey and soft, like driving on ice or soap. Very little information/feedback during grip loss. Did a hotlap with the ND Miata yesterday and today and it’s a night and day difference.

Soured my mood a bit since I bought a 2019 Mazda3 hatch irl this past weekend and was looking forward to tossing it around Nurb. The wheel feedback is so spongey and icey 🤮

EDIT: I tried to test with the DualSense and with the wheel connected, there is no vibration from the controller at all. With wheel removed, vibration comes back. Is this new or has this been there the whole time? Understandable since it’s prob difficult for the console to handle 2 streams of FFB for 2 different inputs.

Fanatec CSL Elite. Feedback feels different but in a good way. Seems to have more resolution, feeling stronger when you have grip and dropping off as the grip goes away. Settings of 4/5 and have the force turned down in wheel settings depending upon which profile I am using.

Fanatec DD Pro has no feel. I have to try tweak the settings, but the wheel feedback feels the same whether I'm doing 200kmh on a straight or spinning when getting on the throttle.
Agreed, and tried some different settings, but this must be the worst update to Gran Turismo 7, used to run TCS 0, front seems to be too light when going into a corner and then on exit it wants to spin out, so will be forced to use TCS.

Wish they would test these settings before putting out an update, as clearly they think it is ok

The force feedback feels much improved on the t300. I'm using a t300 with an upgraded fan, strength 4, sensitivity 2. I was running it at 5 and 2 but the force is so strong now i've had to turn it down. The driving experience feels completely transformed now. Really enjoying the difference, the FFB profile feels closer to ACC or AC now. Also the vibration in my pedals since everything is mounted to the same rig feels so much more nuanced and detailed now.

Has anyone figured out if the steering controller sensitivity setting is doing anything to change their FFB? It used to be that setting it to 5 or having it match you FFB sensitivity would change the linearity of your steering. Has anyone messed around with this enough to notice a difference since the update?

So, with a T300 you are using strength 4, sensitivity 2 and I and others with a T500Rs are using strength 10 and are not feeling the torque.... This is way off from what it should be.

It's my understanding that the t500RS isnt supported on PS5. Are you playing on ps4?

T300 , had too turn my torque down too 3 from 6 , Feels better too me, More like how it was when the game was 1st released, Here's hoping they don't go back too how it was previously. Ford Sierra Cosworth felt great too drive, Can sense acceleration now.

I use a T300 and I turned it down to 4/3 from 5/5. Gr.3 cars were feeling like Gr.1 cars with it at 5 and the motor really whines a lot now that PD made every little bump and crease on the road to be sent through the wheel. More feedback is not always needed. It can just be a distraction from what you really need to feel.

Anyway, if you feel no front end steering feel it could be your suspension settings. If you run a lot of tunes from praiano63 a lot of your cars are set up with highly raked ride heights. You need to lower your rear suspension height to something much more reasonable. Try having the rear 25mm higher than the front instead of 90mm higher. That should increase your steering feel.

I would say that many here are running unreasonable high settings that make problems with feedback.

Lower it at least on 3/4-1/2 then raise if needed as from new update force is significantly higher.

I am running now 4-1 (controller sensitivity is 5 if that matters), and 3-1 with high downforce cars on T300 (fan always on) and it feel better than ever.

T300, FFB was already below standard pre patch, now It is even more flat.
Come on pd, play AC, or ACC , and see what FFB means...and some more settings sliders would be great.

Gamepad gives more FFB than my wheel, wich i tought It was Broken until i've played other sim
