it's possible...

Eddie Bello, a long time drag racer in a 911, usually ran 9 sec. quarter miles on street tires... that 911 was able to kill about anything on the street...

sadly, though, Bello's in jail, and no one knows where the 911 is... :(

Oh god they are rolling starts

Considering his 1/4 mile times, it wouldn't be too hard for him to beat one from a stop, but he would get beat in the 1/4. A little past the 1/4 and he'd start pulling.:) He also has problems with traction, as does anyone with 800+hp.

It's still impressive him beating a 1300cc bike, even from a roll.

it's a different type of racing... i can't even get why race on the street, so from a roll or from a dead stop doesn't make any sense to me no matter what.

Most of the "kill stories" on the internet nowadays are from a roll. Seems people don't race from a stop much.

bikes are quicker to accelerate, but they lose it after a certain point... aerodynamics play a role too, at a certain speed...

Exactly. That's why it's believable when people say they beat 600cc bikes from a roll in Vettes, 420+ Supras, etc. Cause aerodynamics starts kicking the bike's ass at higher speeds.
