Errh... don't quite like the direction this is going...

Besides, everyone knows that the Koreans will one day rule the planet... but the year after, the Chinese will catch up, and with over 1 billion people there eating Big Macs by 2020, the economic weight of China will cause the Earth to wobble in its orbit... disrupting the seasons, leading to a new ice age, and the end of civilization as we know it.

There is a trend in the world of language teaching these days. It used to be that you could go most anywhere in asia and there would be a high demand for english teachers. The world's economy was handled in english for the most part. However, it seems that more and more people (koreans and japanese) are looking to learn chinese as their next language. With China's massive population and booming economy it should soon be the next economic power.

Not that we Americans are that much better but, until CA secedes from the Union we're stuck with earlier choices of Uniting.

My personal guesstimate for a power shift: China.

Europe is slowly uniting, such as Euro plus the european countries are buying more gold, and US are selling it. US is in financial trouble and the banks lend something like 50x what they have. And ive heard its quite easy to shift among countries in europe.

I havnt been to europe or the US and im only 16, though and thats why i said guesstimate.

Though mark my words USA will not continue to be the superpower for ever, The president is supposedly the most powerful man in the world yet, from where im sitting he doesnt seem to be very smart and good at it.

Anyway the change of power will happen, when, probably in my lifetime, to whom, my guess is europe.

I just wish my leader of my country would stand on his on two feet instead of doing what ever bush says so, thats not to say we shouldnt do anything bush says just not everything either.

Im glad im far away from everyone, no one is arsed to try to take australia, its too far from anywhere and its only got 20 million people. Out of sight out of mind 👍

The balance will likely be Asian. Europe was on the road to unification, but they're bogging down, what with the effects of four or five weak economies on the Euro, the foot-dragging over the Turkey issue and the like, Europe's days as a superpower seem a little further off each year.

As for language demand... there is a huge demand for English teaching... in China!

Thanks to GT4, the decimation of the world's oil stockades is going a little slower. Lots of Chinese drivers are killing themselves off driving "GT" style on the streets.
