Peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle.

And not screaming in terror, like his passengers.

Oh dear, it seems that since Famine became a Moderator, he's turned into TM...

I know people that have been in a plane crash eventually felt peace with the thought they were going to die. And since it's very sudden, the impact at least, it's the one I prefer.

@Famine!

Explosion, for the same reason as amp88

I would never want to die in an explosion, cant believe why you would choose for that.
Just the thought that, although it's painless, you will be all over the place, little pieces of your body scattered all over the place. It's the same reason why I would prefer someone to shoot at my heart instead of my head.

From a height and with a good view on the way down.

Same here... Out of a plane for example... then you have some fun before you die.
But seriously. I will never be one of those poor old people who have lost control over everything from their mind to their body. Never ever.

In a blaze of glory. Preferrably a massive gunfight involving 6 or more people.

Or more realistically, explosion. Quick, painless, messy. And everybody loves explosions.:sly:

In my sleep probably, or by lethal injection when it gets to the point that I'm no longer independant and a burden (financially or emotionaly) on my family.

Going by the second 2 points I guess now would be a good time.

While I make love to a beautiful women. Either that or in my sleep with no suffering.

Well from what I've heard when you drown the last few moments before losing consciousness is apparently the best feeling you will ever have apparently some kind of huge euphoria right before you die where you won't even know you're drowning. Although I wouldn't want to know what its like, drowning is one of my fears that go along with height so drowning and or falling to my death would be the worst scenerio for me. The manlier way I'd like to go would be a blazing gunfight where I'm not the only one going...Since that'll never happen I'd probably choose dying in my sleep and or doing what I love doing, going mighty fast in a car. Hopefully not in some horrible daily commute crash but more like an on track incident....But what every guy would obviously choose number 1 would be dying while making love to a beautiful woman. Even better, lets make it a party and have a room full of women making love to me when I go...

I'd just like to point out that you don't actually die from falling.

True enough its the impact that kills you.

Hey wait a mintue, is that bear thingy in your avatar playing a BC Rich Warlock?

In a blaze of glory, double fisting fully automatics in a "shoot'em all, and let got sort them out" cop shoot out which will occur right after I mow down a bunch of crowded sidewalks downtown doing 180+ MPH in a stolen Enzo. :sly:👍

I must go back to my padded room now before "they" find out i'm not there...

I always figured that when I got older I could afford a '69 Charger and fix it up. Well let's just say it would be MY car and no one would ever drive it but me, and to make sure no one drove it when I was gone my plans for death would be as follows:

If I was on my death bed, and knew I was gonna die sometime soon I'd go hop in my Charger, find a nice long straight away, preferably with a cliff at the end. I'd get the car up to about 180+ and go flying off the cliff. That way I experience multiple forms of death: you've got the falling to your death part, then i guess you could classify it as a car crash, plus you're bound to have the burning and/or explosion when I get to the bottom of the cliff. It would be like the ultimate death for someone like me, goin out in a flaming ball of glory at 180+ mph!:) 👍

I remember watching a documentary about a plane that had it's cargo door blow out and rip a load of body frame with it.

A few passengers fell out and apparently avoided the engines. The 'experts' think that they would have taken 7 minutes to fall from 30,000 feet, and would have probably been fully concious throughout.

(N.b It also apparently took 10 second for the people that 'jumped' fom the twin towers to reach the ground)

How exactly do you plan to get from your death bed, to your dodge charger and then drive it to some cliffs?

Peacefully in my sleep.

EDIT: Plane crashes just ain't my thing. I don't want to have time to think I am going to die any minute. Plus, I am afraid of heights and of free-falling. I'd take a car crash, though. Doing 200+ MPH on a race track. Still prefer what I said above, though. You go to bed one day and you just end up sleeping forever.

The Wizard.

How come Natural reasons or Sleep aren’t on the list? Seems to me that’s how most people die…

I think in your sleep should be on the list, things like a heart attack shouldn't, sure they're more common but I can't imagine anyone wanting to die like that.

Well I'll just have to worry about that when the time comes, maybe I can go to a hospital that happens to be near some cliffs, and my room could be on the bottom floor next to the exit doors. Then I could have my Charger towed to the hospital and use a wheelchair or something to get me to my car...or better yet screw the wheelchair, I'll crawl out on my stomach using my arms to pull me along...yeah that'd be even better.

Falling would be my choice. I think drowning would be the absolute worse, you'd start flailing and struggling no matter what. With falling I could see it being peaceful.

In my sleep as an easy first.. At the other end of the meter is drowning.. I can't think of a worse way to go...

I'd like to day the same way that Goldie Hawn's husband died in the movie "Private Benjamin".

I voted explosion. Quick and painless, plus you wouldn't have prior knowledge it was going to happen.

except if your the one causing the explosion :dunce:

I picked falling.
Must be great to feel like you were flying like a bird.
And then land on a hidious car at the bottem, so that the windows are blown away.
Or a caravan, to do it Top Gear style :)

I remember on the news there was a pregnant Skydiver who fell well over 1000m and survived the impact. Bit of a freak incident but from her recital of what happened she certainly didn't enjoy the buzz of the fall.
