For those who don't know there is a town in Michigan called Hell

If you want to you guys could ship all the snow to me. Trust me, I hate the heat, I can't get enough of the watery-fur. Please send it on to me, thanks.

Queensland is too hot for my liking I just got back from Cairns after staying up there for 2 weeks, I had an awesome tan going but now Im starting to peel and Im blaming it all on the fact you dont have daylight saving (Dont make me explain why as its completely irrational)

You can blame millencolin too, he lives in Queensland! oh, and so does Shannon!

I really wish that I lived in America or Canada. I mean you get proper snow you got beautiful places to visit. In England its mostly grey with about a month of Sun. How much is a average 2 Bedroom house in Canada?

There is about 5 inches of snow on the ground, it keeps snowing every day for the last week with no stop in sight. With the windchill its -8F... Its really windy.. And I love it.
Snow+Blizzacks+AWD=fun

So how much does it cost to buy a 2/3 bedroom house/ranch in canada?

-10* F on tuesday. with about 5 inches of snow on the ground. Right now its about 20* F. Its going to get up to around 35 I think. Just warm enough to melt the snow, and this weekend I heard is supposed to be around 40* F.

Hey Matrix, you never did answer my question in another thread about the weather. What part of Indiana do you live? I live in South Bend.

Sorry about that. I guess I never saw it or simply cannot remember seeing it. I live several miles from Kokomo, Indiana.

-12 with occassional flurries. Rumpy is getting a blizzard and he's only 2 hours away from here  I LOVE snow :(

depends on where you are. If you're in toronto, a 3 bedroom townhome will cost a minimum of $125000 (for the smallest place possible in a not so desirable location). Anywhere else, probably a 4 bedroom HOUSE for that much. Toronto is bloody flipping expensive :banghead:

My parents first home was a 3 story, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, full attic, full basement home and it cost them a total of $90,000.

We were in a small crappy town though.

The joys of wanting to live where no one else does.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Weather channel said it feels like -33 this morning. I coulda sworn it was colder on the ride over to school. I nearly lost my fingers in the 15 minutes I spent outside despite the thick insulated gloves

damn, it's 10:30 now, and I've gotta figure out where the Roger's Media Building is for my next class. That'll mean about 15 minutes outside...and just as I started to regain the feeling in my fingers and ears :banghead:

It was so cold that the school bus' wouldn't start, so there was no school for the third day this week around here.

Something like -40 celsius this morning.

That's insane. I can't fugure out why such cold places were permanently settled to begin with. I can remember -70F windchill days in Chicago, which is basically the same as Canada, or worse. Brand new cars wouldn't start. Oil turned to molasses. Numb, on the verge of frostbitten ears and fingers even with hats, earmuffs, and gloves. Wearing long underwear to work.

Total BS. Move someplace warm.

In the summer with the humidex it can reach over 50 Celsius too.

What other place on Earth has a spread of over 100C between the hottest and coldest temperatures.

I think it is incredible how adaptable the plant life and animals are.

I sit in a warm house while they are out in the elements.

To survive such high and such low temperatures is amazing to me.

I believe this morning though it was so cold that if you lit a fire the smoke wouldn't rise. That's just plain cool. You look at people roofs and the smoke coming out just kinda rolls out of the stack and trickles down the side of their house like a really cool fog.

You can see streams of chiney smoke pouring down the houses like its coming out of a faucet. 👍

Yessir.

I guess it's a Canadian term.

They take the temp and figure how hot it actually feels in account of the humidity.

So if it is 30 celsius with a high humidex it actually prolly feels like 40.
