wat, i just saw this thread and gasped with horror I loved the music in all of the GT series, well the menu music that is, as i drive without music in the background if they changed this it wouldn't be GT at all to me.

you mean enjoy the music of SOME engines, building up in the midrange. About 6 out of the 150 plus cars had really good sounding engines. The rest were almost irritating in their lack of personality.

The RUF RGT has to be 1 of those cars. It sounded really good to me.

The menu music is the best music in the damn game, I even managed to get hold of the soundtracks that has the menu music on it. Best music for an ingame menu ever.

I like the intricate bass playing in some menu music, but the rest of it (especially the music that plays when you get a license!) is all cheesy comestibles to me.

GT3 has some great tunes, and some not so great. But really, if you are RACING, why are you listening to tunes? Don't you need to listen to the engine????

I have music off while I'm racing, and on for replay.

Mostly the Cult though. YEah. the Cult. Then I just break out the ghettoblaster and plug in -the megadeth. then i get bored and plug in the ole Ibanez and the half-stack, oh yeah...

I was searching the hole topic, but what interested me most, i found until on page 9.

Uncle Harry has guessed about PD implementing the feature which allows you to toggle the sound respectively the music louder or quieter.

I really missed that one, unlike GT1.

Unfortunately, nobody responded if this feature will be definitely included or not.

Does anybody has information on that?

It's not as if you can enjoy music while race driving anyway. To enjoy music you need to be able to hear it well, and if that interferes with the engine sound you will not drive so well.

i kno alota ppl like techno music n stuff in GT4, but they shud think of those ppl who listen to metal, like meself, can't stand those dance beats, repetitive... i wanna listen to fast paced rage music as i drive, the atmosphere then is so cool, it allows the adrenaline to flow. speedin round the test circuit whilst rockin to Children of bodom or inflames is amazingly good. but then thats my taste, notin else.
