I hope he read what I had to say about the AE86. I also hope that he bought a Corolla GT-S... and realized it can't drift because A) he sucks, B) no LSD, C)Yankees game looks like it's going to be rained out... Sorry I had to add that in, my dad and I are huge Yankees fans. One of these days I'm going to read this entire thread... even though it's longer than a book and covers many topics like the AE86, the Subaru thing... you know I forgot what this topic covers...

too many punk little kids out there buying 86's because of Initial-D. thats what i truly hate, little punk teens just buying it for the anime series and not respecting it.

Don't know about your area, but I've been to quite a few 86 meets locally and every single person there was way cool. I love hanging out with those guys. Even on the streets they are all responsible (well except Otay! if you happen to be out there Otay, you're ****in crazy... haven't seen you crash yet so I trust you know what you're doing...).

Anyway, I'm not at all concerned with idiots taking over the drift scene. The drift scene is impenetrable by design. The whole idea is that there is no image, drifting exposes the true driver. The scene might get fluffed up by a bunch of idiots who are interested in drifting, but there will be no grey area between those who are true drifters and those who are not.

but look at the other side. idiot drifters out there will try to be all talk, and go try to drift in a intersection killing a family of 4.t thats where i see it coming though, but God forbid it does. thats how dragracing got caught onto, constant accidents and deaths on public roads killing the innocent. good thing drifting has a built in rice filter, its called skill.

Rice Filter... this simply could not be more correct.

I was privileged enough to be out on the roads alongside one of my friends late last night, when he decided to try and drop the back end out on a corner, in his Holden POS (Peice of... you get it.)
This is surburbian Queensland, not the mountain passes.

Long story short, he slammed into the gutter and wound up on someone's lawn. I have never been caught between laughing myself to tears and worrying intensely so hard before. Especially when he got smacked in the head for wrecking on someone's lawn. What's probably even funnier is that the police came, took his blood alcohol level, saw it was fine, and then just went off again, because we had since gotten it off back onto the road.

So yeah. Rice Filter :P

im really sorry, but it serves him right.

IMHO, what alotta people don't realize is it takes AT LEAST some basic racing knowledge to even try and attempt such a thing (drift). I really do believe that drifting is somewhat of an extension, in terms of skill, of grip. I'm not saying drifting is the next level or something so you purists take it easy. hehehe. anyways, hope you guys weren't hurt seriously or anything.

Well it's not too bad for me, as I was in the car behind him :P

But yeah, the only thing that really took any damage was the car itself. Nobody's hurt, and a certain idiot is now wiser.

And Deity, super job on those 3D stuffs. The engine, seat and so on. nice nice. 👍
Thank you Xzift... I wish I can find a model of a Trueno... I've been looking everywhere for one. I have a problem with making a realistic car, it's just too hard. If I had the car, I'd be able to model out my actual engine and things like that... but I guess no one has it.

This thread will last forever... I promise you.

Okay, my dad is going to battle tonight... It's Monday 00:45 right now and the jerk with the silver BNR32 (only person to ever beat me) challenged my dad yesterday. So I'll let you know how it works out.

cool.. what's the rules?
Basically, if you keep up, you win, if you get left behind, you lose... if you pass (which my dad did) you win bigtime.

There was nobody spectating (Monday morning...) and my dad likes it that way. I couldn't really see the whole race, but the GT-R took the lead in the beginning. On the ride home my dad didn't say anything other than the fact that the guy's GT-R is slow. I'm happy because the guy looks down on AE86's and it really pissed me off. That's why I raced him the first time, and lost. Did some work to the Trueno... lost again. So I'm happy that he was defeated by a Trueno. Now I must goto work... I haven't even slept today. Thankfully I have a 4 hour shift on Mondays. Byeee.

Exactly. If you watch Best Motoring touge battles, you will get the idea. By the way... my dad passed the GT-R. I didn't think he would, because I couldn't even keep up when I raced him.
