iOS 7 release timeline.

It comes out at one time. That just shows the same time in every timezone. For me it's noon and someone else might be 1am but we can download it simultaneously.

I wish it would hurry up an be released since I have 6 devices at work that I need to update and begin testing with. 1300 shouldn't be too much of an issue, but still, it would have been nice if it had been released at midnight PST.

Wednesday Sept 18th started at 12am Pacific Time. For me in Michigan, that was 3am. According to the chart, since In closer to Chicago than Detroit, I'll should be getting it at noon my time.

I was up watching GTA5 Let's Play videos anyway :P

I'm gonna start updating in geometry at noon and hope its done by lunch. My schools Internet can be slow.

10am Pacific Time release time has been pretty typical in the past...

I'm waiting until I get the chance to play with it first before I upgrade.

I've upgraded my iPhone 5 and absolutely love it. So many nice tweaks that just make it nice to use.

I upgraded and so far I love it. The dynamic wallpapers are awesome!

Though, anything about an iPad Mini version? Mine said it was up to date, even while it was installing on my phone.

I downloaded the software but it failed when verifying it with apple. Now I cant connect to the software update server. I get a message saying my phone is in recovery mode I need to restore, I don't wanna do that!

I upgraded my Mini no problem over an hour ago.

Did my elderly iphone 4 this afternoon, really like it so far, lock screen has got rid of those stupid bars so the background is full screen and it's nice to just swipe anywhere on the screen to unlock. It's a little laggy but I don't really care...it was a bit laggy before the update anyway. I just may keep this phone a little longer now.

Trying to update my wife's i5 over wife, it either gives me an error message or says it's up to date with iOS 6! Apple is having problems :P

I downloaded early but installed late, gave me fits, so unused iTunes with no problems.

It's very much like Windows 8 now - gotta say, the new icons look so flat and 90s like, pretty cool if you're a hipster. Then again, it's only a mobile phone for most...so why bother with that. :D

My apps seem more snappy this morning. Not a big fan of Apple looking like M$, but it's cool. The performance boost is what I like.

I'm pretty neutral on it, there's quite a few things I like about it but there's also quite a few I feel rather "meh" about. It looks way cleaner now and definitely more modern, which is nice.

I just updated my friend's phones and iPads, and to be honest I really like the design and feel of it. Sometimes it doesn't feel like you're using an iOS. Feels more like you're using some sort of Windows! However, it doesn't seem to be running smooth on most devices like the iPhone 4 and 4S.

Ok well.., performance good. Bad, bad, bad battery life. Maybe there were just a bunch of background processes eating my battery alive. Within just a 2 hours of unplugging it I was down to 20%. Ouch!

The main reason for faster battery drainage is that iOS now has true multitasking, so those apps you put in the background now have the ability to keep running. This used to be the case for only specific apps on iOS6 and previous versions (e.g. audio streaming apps, etc.), but is now allowed for all apps. Note that battery usage will most likely improve, since iOS learns about how you use apps and hibernates/wakes apps based on your behavior.

Of course, if you use Facebook every 2 minutes, that won't work. :D

Also be aware Bluetooth is turned on by default, big time battery sucker!!! I would like to be able to fiddle with the apps in the Control Center a little. I'm really liking iTunes Radio. Although on my iPad, it does sound a little quieter than TuneIn Radio. May this be the death of Pandora! Playing gangsta rap on a U2 channel is utter insanity. I gave up on Pandora years ago. Listening to '80s Rock Radio (Discovery mode) on iTunes Radio: https://itunes.apple.com/us/station/idst.11980812

I've seen quite a few complaints of the performance on the 4, but I have a 4S and I haven't really noticed any stuttering on it.

So far I quite like iOS 7. The card style multitasking and control center are great additions. I think I'm already hooked on iTunes Radio. I legitimately use Siri a lot, and the speed has been greatly improved. I have to say the new Notes app is abysmal though. Just way too simple (and not in a good way). But other than that and a few other small things, it's a good update.

Oh no. I don't like the new style at all. The icons look exactly like the Microsoft icons and I can't seem to be able to change the colour of the block at the bottom from that really ugly grey, or atleast make it see-through like the old version.

I'm using a 4S and things seem just a little bit less smooth than before. Also, for example, when you press the button on the top of the phone, for say - checking the time quickly, there's a little pause before the screen even lights up. And is just me who thinks the wallpapers have zoomed in a touch and become just a little bit blurry?

Not a fan.

Let's leave the iPhone 4 because that one performed really badly. The iPhone 4S of my friend does have some stutter in animation. Even sliding up the control panel also has some noticeable stutter. Hopefully that will be fixed in the next update because my friends aren't impressed by it..

Pako, my iPhone 5 is still rocking 30% battery as I type this and that's after a full day from 7:00am (it's 10:36 here now) using iPod, making calls, showing off IOS7 to colleagues and watching YouTube on 3G and WiFi. I've actually found it better than IOS6.

TUAW had a bunch of tips for saving battery and I've used most of them. So far really liking it.

Was any one else late for work this morning because their alarm didn't go off?
