Only 8 places left ;)
Should warn though that the first season will contain alot of DNF´s lol.
I ran in one league and people went flying off in every corner (including me)
I joined 2 races, both of them DNF´s, then i said that maybe i should do something else.

But the car was for some reason much harder to drive back then, especially on LowDF.
After one season we will also see who really wants to drive and who maybe want to try something else.

so wait, is that the list for the mustang event? if so im in! on what tracks are we racing cause i dont own that many yet

Is it usually so dead during the day? I havn't seen more than 3 people in Formula fun and no one in the InsideSimRacin.tv challenge,..

Sadly, I think Formula Fun is dead as I don't see many people racing it at any time. Although I have the license to run the standard F1 series I don't feel comfortable enough with the car to run it there so would also like to race in Formula Fun as well.

Better to do racestints in the Grand Prix Practice and occasionally have a battle with someone. Then when your consistent, join an A class race (or when the license allows you to)

Chris: What mustang event?

I think we will race on either Sundays or Saturdays.
Time we can discuss when we get the right amount of drivers.

The race time pole is leaning towards 21GMT with 14 votes, 20GMT 9 votes and 19GMT with 6 votes.

I see, well then we´ll most definitely drive on that time then ;)
Thanks again Jav!

21 GMT would be GMT -4 for eastern US? So 5 PM or 17:00 for me? I struggle to understand the GMT stuff lol.

I should be able to make that time on weekends. The weekend of July 8th - 10th I will not be able to though. Have a race that weekend that I have to be at.

I´m not even sure we will get this underwat until then but there will be 1-2 dropweeks.
So let´s say you do the full season (12 races for example) Your 2 worst results will not be counted.

Man I wish I didn't suck so epically bad I would sign up 4 sho'. I am guessing it will be like a year before I am competitive. This is strange though because in real life I used to race my ford mustang like daily on the streets :irked:

Considering holding a hosted practice session at Silverstone this weekend in the FW 31 around 16 GMT. If I can get 10 people interested I will put it up. I'm thinking an hour and a half like real F1 practice

Post it up! I might be able to join you!

Ohh man come on, get in race with us!! We all need to practice, practice, and practice some more! It'll be fun!

It will be 300km races so Silverstone (Grand Prix layout) for instance is 59 laps, and average lap for the leader should be around 1.22´s i think.
That´s around 1.2 hours but let´s say 1.4 for 2 pitstops etc.

Btw, what layout should we run? Grand Prix or historic?
In my opinion there are pros and cons with both.

Grand Prix Layout has two more overtaking spots then Historic.
Historic layout has a much better flow in the track as it´s not hampered with a slow corner and chicane.

Here are the differences,

I´m fine with either layout i like to overtake and like tracks that invite that sort of stuff but on the other hand i enjoy fast and flowing tracks.

Talked to the guy willing to do commentary. He has worked in broadcasting proffesion before so he´s more then qualified to ask the right questions in interviews or just making battles more intersting etc.
AND, he said he would be willing to write articles on the race and maybe get them posted on, http://www.iracing.com/inracingnews/

And, he had a friend that would be interested in the video highlights and to top it all of :)

I think 9pm is too late on this side of the water. Race wouldn't be over till gone 10pm and with parents and brothers sleeping makes it impossible to race that late.

I like the historic version of Silverstone, but I'm fine with either version!

I'd say Grand Prix. Since it was the most recent layout to date used by F1. Aside from the new one they are running. Which we don't have. I can do a practice race on my test session this weekend if you guys are interested in testing out how things are going to work out and how we can get paints and commentating worked out.

I live even more to the east then you :)
And my desk is in my moms bedroom, strangely enough it doesn´t bother her.
I just use headphones and thankfully have a quiet wheel.

Sounds good Shinya.

Just curious what sort of times you guys are getting at Phillip Island in the FW31?

This is my first time on this track in iRacing. I have tons of laps on it though from ToCa 3 lol.

I'm currently running 1:08.5's with my setup and about 65 lbs of fuel. With a base setup I ran 1:10.1's. Anybody know if these times will get me top 5's this week? Need a solid week to hopefully get me in the top 10 in points for Division 2.

Have only driven it in the former f1 league i joined. Can't remember what times and the fact that i wrecked after 4 laps in the race :)

will skip this week though because radical at okayama is much more fun ;)

My parents probably wouldn;t hear it through the wall but my brother who is 3 feet away from my desk would.
