Have you uploaded them to trading paints?
And do they have your iRacing ID as their name?

Customer ID can you find in iRacing Press Room/ My Account / first line on the page.

What do you Mean? I have an account on Trading paints but the skins i download won't show up on iracing.

Check My documents/iRacing/paint/whatever car you know downloaded paints to. and see if you can find some files there.

No, not ready yet to oppen up my pc and remove the video card once again...

Ok. I guess you have to do it sometime though :P

You have to change the file name for it to show up, usually it has to be the Customer ID.

Another thing to look forward to apart from Suzuka, Motegi, Tsukuba is Interlagos! :)
Can´t wait to get some proper F1 tracks in this service.

Just bought a month of iracing for $5 and I'm loving it. Does anyone know if they do a bundle for all the content? $15 per car/track seems too expensive. The subscription alone for the year is alot of money. I wouldn't mind asmuch if the paid content could be played on hotlaping offline. But paying all that money then paying again to use it is abit disappointing.

Nice! :)

Been spectating 2 laps now with the Williams at Oka, amazing races both of them!

Damn this is addictive! Loving the Mita, had to quit because I have a GTPFIA race coming up but after the race I'm definitely going back to Silverstone!!

I decided to do the $12 dollars for 3 months startup. So far I must say that I'm super impressed with this game.

I was worried how my computer would run it, but it automatically maxed everything out 1680x1050. I have a 22 inch monitor and that's my highest res. I was worried my e5200 cpu, 4 gigs of ram and XFX 4850 would have problems to run it, but it looks fantastic. Again, I'm sure it's a different story when its a full grid of cars. I don't want to buy a new mobo/ram/cpu so I'm guessing jumping to a Quad Core lga775 cpu would be my best option.

Anyways, I did some practise, checked out all tracks and cars. Then I did a TT and ran it for 30 minutes, upping my road rating by .06. The game is fluid, looks fantastic and looks like a blast.

I'm currently using a Xbox360 wired controller to control the game. I wanted to start the game using this before my Fanatec GT2, Clubsport Pedals and shifters come in around June. This will give me awhile to set my best possible lap times on some of the courses, then see how much better I can get them with the wheel.

Love it so far!

Wow! Just did my first practice session and all I can say is wow!! Flashback to club racing!! This is the real deal!! Okayama short is such a fun track + the Miata = win!! Loving it! did some quick alignment changes and the car is rotating like a dream! Love it!
Gonna take a shower and back to the track for my first race!!

If you buy all content remaining, you get 25% off.

It's expensive, but it's the best.

What are these alignment settings? I bought the game yesterday and am having trouble breaking the 1:04 barrier on Okayama :/.

The game is an absolute blast though, cannot wait to up my rating to 3 :).

Well first race started great! Started 8th on the grid and got to 2nd by the 3rd corner, was fighting for the lead for the first 10 laps till I blew my braking spot, totally overcooked it! I went off in turn 1. Rejoined on 2nd but 3rd place blew by me as I was getting up to speed, so 4th place wanted to get by me so bad that he bumped me and took us both off track... So I rejoined on 5th kept on going and lost it again on the closing laps to finish 6th from a 15 car grid.
Definitely a great learning experience, I need to keep my concentration up! small mistakes cost big in here!
Still loving it and wanting more!!
Thank's to all that helped me getting into iRacing, I definitely recomend it to anyone looking to get into real simracing!

My best lap is a 1:04.101, best lap of the session.
Simply tweaked the camber and tire preassures:
Camber
LF: 3.0 RF: 3.0
LR: 1.5 RR: 1.5

Tire Preassure(cold)
LF: 30psi RF: 30psi
LR: 28psi RR: 28psi

My best is a 1:04:6 or so. I have heard you cant change the setup in rookie races but I shall look into this in a sec.

I just did a 1:03:4_!
It took about 6 or 7 laps for the tires to wear in and for me to properly concentrate the line but I cracked 1:03, stoked :).
Waiting for the session to end for the results.

EDIT: 1:03:439 and that was 8 laps in out of 11.

I'll have to give that setup a try. I think I clocked in way over that in obayama (sp?) last night on the Qualification and didn't so hot on my 1st real race last night. I didn't realize if you make a bad downshift you can blow your transmission. I had to get towed off the track and everything :grumpy:

Fun game though. I'm for sure sitting down and watching all the rookie vids now.

I wonder how racers can start voice chat with ya during a race? I think I received a few transmissions from folks last night. They were probably trying to tell me to get out the way tho

Hey, at least I didn't cause any wrecks tho! :dopey:

With a mic? I use my Turtle Beaches when I play just so I can inform people where I'm going when I'm getting lapped.

Motegi and Tsukuba? I've never heard that on the list...

They scanned four Japanese tracks,

Motegi, Tsukuba, Suzuka & Okayama, one they gave away for free! can´t believe that really since it´s one of the best tracks in game.

You guys doing the rookie series at Okayama :)

Here´s what you should chase,

Cup car = 1:01.271
Roadster = 1:00.991

Press TAB and you can chase your own best time or your optimal time, it helps alot to see where you gain time and where you lose time.

Also, when your in races, always use F3. It tells you where you are in time between everybody.

And go into "other" and check spotter. He will tell you when you are side by side with someone.

I knew about Suzuka but I must have missed Tsukuba and Motegi. If only they could get Sugo and Autopolis. Autopolis would be such a fun track.

And you can also chase the session best time. I was following Jesse Niemenen's F1 times at Okayama and found he was getting on the throttle much much earlier than me.

Ok never heard of those, will check those out for sure.
Yea you can even chase individual sectors etc.

Yea his lap looked almost arcade. I can´t get on the power that hard that soon and i´m only at 07.9 but you can see he just flicks the car in, with some slight optimal slip angle due to setup etc. He´s a damn good driver but he can go even faster.
I think that if we would have had that setup we would shave probably around 0.5 second easy of our own times.

Yeah I follow Super GT in japan closely. I've gone to Sugo to watch a race. Autopolis looks amazing from the live broadcasts I watch from there.

I wonder if those crazy slip angles will be gone come 2.0 and NTM. If so the FW31 will be dramatically slower. It's slower than real life speed wise, so it may very well be slower.

Yes they will, right now it´s to easy to explore and keep the car in that zone.
Slip angles exist in real life but it´s way different from in the game.

If you would hit slip angle at every corner in real life for more then a lap your tires would be toasted. In the game there is no "penalty" towards abusing the tires.

Regarding the speed, yes it will be slower but the reason apart from that as to why the car is slower then real life times in Q3 2009 for instance is because we have the hard tires.
It´s quite a big difference in 09 Bridgestones hard vs soft or even supersoft.

It also feels like braking distances are a little to short in the game like at the backstraight okayama.

An F1 car can go from 300 down to around 50-75km/h in 75m. In the game it feels like we have 15m braking distances for some reason. (with hard tires)

iRacing 2.0 will be totally different. The gap between the aliens and the fast slow drivers will be a little narrower.

I'm hoping it helps me. When I drive the skippy in the game I run normal lap times, but then the other guys are using crazy slip angles and I just can't get used to that. It's only supposed to be about 6 degrees in a skippy and it's about 12 to 15 in the game :(

Crazy.

It will be better, and now you would really have to think about what you are doing with the tires, if you push to hard and understeer or oversteer it will eat the tires.
Maybe think one more time before doing an overtake etc.

And even more important to do test races in practice to understand how the car changes during different fuel loads and grip etc.

This will clearly differentiate iRacing from the rest of the gang by a mile.
3 years in the making and in August it will be revealed together with the Acura and Ford GT GT2. And Suzuka ;) can´t wait for that one, best driver´s track in the world imo.

then we only need the absolute best track in the world. The Green Hell. Elevations three times larger then Spa :)
