Well, just checked the season 3 schedule and they do have 2 races in Grand Am and the Proto/GT series that are longer at 75 and 70 minutes.

I thought the McLaren was getting its own series along with running in Grand Am? Can't say I'm disappointed about McLaren only being in Grand Am though. Should boost some participation which to me is a good thing considering I like that series.

Overall I'm happy with the changes. We really needed some thinning out of series on road side anyway. Plus a new track with Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.👍

Just need more circuits for the F1 Williams. We have a few, but not enough.

Any word of a COTA scan? Thats a track I'd love to see added. Love blasting around it in F1 2012 and Motogp 13.👍

This! And the Silverstone update already!!
The McLaren will get its own series once we get the BMW Z4 GT3.

That BMW can't come out fast enough!

Updated silverstone is moving up my list after GT Academy this year too.

Is anyone else kind of worried about what the RUF will race? I really don't think a one make (which it almost has to be...) will be much fun in that car.. But then again, that's just my thought at the moment.

Tell me about it, we need choices in this game so bad!!

iRacing is putting themselves in a very odd situation with the Ruf, that car in its natural form makes no sense in iRacing, waayyy too powerful and way too heavy and little grip on top. The only way I see it really working is restricting it to 500HP for official racing and throwing it into the Proto/GT Series or with the Mustang, maybe even in the Global Challenge as a third class... If they do a Ruf Cup it has all the right stuff to be popular if they play it right.
Just finished my second career irace. 3rd place miata at lime rock. Sr went up 0.16 :)

Congratz! Keep it up and make sure you fast track out of Rookie this week so you can get yourself in a good position to be promoted to C for Season 3!

Variety makes the whole thing more fun I think. The Gen 6 hosted lobbies are a lot more fun because its not just chevrolets (although some people would've liked it to stay that way...)

I think participation will go up when there are choices in cars, like the BMW or mclaren, or BMW or ford GT. That's what has been lacking in the road side.

And a gt3 series will be super fun!

Shall we have a over under on when the L49 gets released? Seems like iRacing isn't even sure...

Rookie racers in the miata cup need to learn that the first turn isn't the place to pass the whole field...

It's not just rookies, veterans do it too

Do you guys know any information about setting up a late model? All the sets I’ve tried understeer too much for me

The return of Brands Hatch to the schedules yay! And Montreal as well :D. I'm pretty happy with this schedule.

Hi all,

I'm thinking to buy some Oval content but I have no idea what I can buy.

I want a serie where the races are not really long and where we have always official races...
I'm seeing the car who is much close is the Silverado. The car is fun to drive? The races are fun? The races are clean?

Thanks :)

The truck is a blast! Most of the races in the higher splits are clean (of course accidents happen) and races are short enough you can race every race (every hour) with plenty of time to spare!

No! You shall not race oval! You must practice 24/7 365 days a year for the Pro Series!

Just joking, the trucks are actually quite good, and not bad participation either, with some sensible good drivers as well.

The two oval series I like the most are Trucks and IndyCar, both are pretty popular but you can usually find good races in both regardless of rating.

Class B/Nationwide isn't bad either but I find Gen 6 too much for me for now at times, and it's alot less laid back.

If you owned it before a certain time it was free. If purchased after that date you could only buy the new version of Daytona.

No I bought it quite recently for $5. Daytona Circa 2007.

Yes they did offer the older version for sale but was a separate purchase from the new version of the track. Kinda stated that wrong.

I realise what you meant now lol

That new was free if you had old until a certain date where they priced both.

The new schedule has both Historic Silverstone and Silverstone GP.

The GP circuit they're talking about is the 2009(?) version that's in the game now. The historic layout is also currently in the game.

The new 2010(?)+ version doesn't have a release date yet.

If the gt6 Silverstone is anything to go by, I might just have to buy the iracing one.

Then I don't know why people are talking as if the new Silverstone release is imminent.

edit: I guess I just can't read. Which is good. I need to buy Montreal. I don't think that I could get away with buying the new Silverstone at this time as well after buying a rift, button box and the last of us.

I used to hate Silverstone when Ferrari Challenge first came out. I've learned to like it a little bit better since but I really do like the new version. The new version will be a must buy even at full price.
