The game is stunning looking. The Grand Canyon course in particular is flat out gorgeous. The entire level is photo-realistic, showing off the best clouds ever seen in a racing game

Explain why that pic looks more detailed than the preview footage on DVD's, and the actual game when I've played it, the cars look like the ones in GTC, I actually think they are the same, the model in GTC were created in a different way to GT3 and they didn't take as long to model, KY has said in an interview that they are using a faster process to model the cars so the take half the time as the ones in GT3. The cars in GTC took half the time to model than the cars in GT3.

The only literal photo-realistic things in GT4 are the backgrounds, such as the Grand Canyon level. It will be a while before we get photo-realistic cars, although most of the car pics I have seen are very accurate(and have good graphics to back them up). I think that's the word your looking for, not photo-realistic.

I've played the latest build, and the only thing thats going to change from that is little effects like backfire and skid marks etc.

Skid marks aren't going to be added and that's ingame graphics, no rendered.

I was using examples of the kind of effects that will be put in, and skid marks havn't been ruled out although I doubt they will be in, and for the last bloody time, that is not in game, explain why it looks so much better.

What's to say that the image has not been "touched-up" AFTER it was captured? This is what everyone means when they say it is "rendered".

That's exactly my thoughts. Everyone is so skeptical about GT4. What the hell is wrong with you. The game looks THAT good. I've seen it. Why's it so hard to believe that that picture is real and untouched?

I have the game, and it looks like the first pic that have been posted. Stop flamming, GT4 does look good, but certainly not that photorealistic.
