xbox sucks.
I read a few times on here that Prologue (NA) comes out tomorrow, yet I thought it was wednesday, can someone clear this up for me?
 
same question, i see best buy has wednesday, gamestop says SHIPPED tuesday. haha. get this i went to gamestop one time to get a ps3 game, the guy was like it is SHIPPED today, its not out like i was a complete idiot or something. really just made him look bad.
 
yeah, i reserved a copy at my local gamestop.
 
blu-ray edition will be out on April 15, PS Store edition will be available on April 17.
 
All the stores around here are showing Wednesday in their ads. :(
 
Wednesday, 2PM, here in Vermont, according to all the fliers in the paper yesterday. I've been playing a PAL copy nonstop for two weeks, looking forward to racing with NA folks with closer connections!
 
Nice thread... since so many are playing Japanese or PAL the US version release seems anti-climactic. I haven't seen a commercial or anything regarding release. Kinda shocking... where's the hype?
 
I actually have a somewhat funny story about this, I went into a Gamestop with the intention to preorder Prologue, but this is transpired despite my attempts to turn the other way...

I went in, looked around and did the usual, at last I went up to one of these so-called "gamers" and asked when Prologue was to be released because I wasn't sure myself and this guy tells me it was to be released on the 17th, I retorted with the question "Wasn't it supposed to be released on the 15th if one wishes to purchase, and on the 17th if one wishes to purchase from PSN?" This guy tells me no and that the release date is the 17th all around. So this other dude who was standing behind me (also a GT fanatic I presume) says that it will be released on the 15th if you wish to purchase it from the store he had proof from some magazine which I didn't get a proper viewing of, but in any case...a customer made an employee look...stupid.

I was always under the impression that these people were supposed to...know.

Oh, and by the way, hello to you all. :dopey:
 
the game is released on the 15th, but it may not arrive in some stores until the 16th or 17th depending on how fast they receive it. At least i hope that's true, i ordered mine with overnight shipping. If i don't have it on wednesday i'll will be very sad and cry myself to sleep.
 
haha i was SOOO pumped for tomorrow(tuesday) and now i have to wait a whole nother day. real bummed...

Here in Belgium, and maybe it was over the whole EU, they released it two days earlier then was planned! So me, walking outside the gamemania store checking the newest games through the glass occasionally, I spotted GT5P wright away, jumped a whole in the air and raced towards the game, took it and payed for it while still being in the rush of it being released earlier.👍

Sorry, I didn't see a thread about this yet... Is the US version available for purchase today anywhere? IGN lists the release date as today but a call to Best Buy said that it wasn't for sale until tomorrow. :dopey:

Okay, so most likely stores won't have it to put on their shelves until tomorrow I assume. I always thought stores had most games a few days in advance but just had to hold them until the release date.
 
can't you get a pre-release copy in a retail store like it was possible with the PAL version?

Amazon.com will ship it on April 17 by the way.
 
Hey guys what about Gamestop? Has anyone tried to purchase from their local store? They have said it would be for sale today.
 
I called my local Target and was told that they had 4 copies of GT5P this morning but all were now sold. I don't know if that was true but it might be worth checking with your local Target stores.

I WISH it were, I've suffered through (3) three updates already with Japanese version.
 
I just been in my local GameStop. I came in, NO GT5P :(. Then the guy told me to wait a minute since the truck wtih delivery is coming :) I waited, but the guy only got PS3's and Wii Systesm. No GT5P :(. So I will get my copy 2morow at around noon :) I can't wait.

So, since this is the first time I preordered a game since GT2, and the first one from Best Buy online, I have a question:

Will it arrive at my house on the day it is supposed to be released (tomorrow) or will it ship tomorrow and arrive whenever it gets here?


Best Buy put a hold on the money in my checking account yesterday, so it had better be here pretty promptly. I will be quit angry if they charge me and then tell me it has been delayed due to supply issues or whatever.
