Isn't this sony's first official release date for NA? I'm trusting it. I just hope BestBuy has it on the 22nd or 23rd. I pre-orderd it, but I don't mind going to another store and wasting 5 bucks to get it a few days early.

I think it´s the final release(i hope). I can´t wait anymore.

My DFP is just lazzy to arrive as the online store doesn´t have it anymore available to sell, also the mall stores.

when i bought GT3, there were 50 copies sitting in a box visible from outside of the store on the 3rd day. i dont imagine gt4 has gotten as immensely popular as halo2 or gta san andreas, so ill try and buy it on the first day without obsessing over a 5 dollar deposit.

It's hard to tell when Best Buy will have it. I don't think the big chain stores are first to get hot, new game releases anymore. I think the specialty video game stores have them beat out. I'd be carefull about getting if from BB if you want it on the 23.

Plus, I don't think anybody will have it on the Tuesday it's suppose to shipped out. I bet stores will have on the next day but I hope I'm wrong. Just think two more weeks.

Same here. If best buy doesn't have it on the first or second day, then they just got 5 free bucks... Because I'm heading to game ware or EB, or any other electronics store to get it.

Nah I use to work at Best Buy and we got games, popular or not, a week or so in advance. The only exception was NFL street 2 (PS2 version). We got it for the other consoles. The PS2 version got put on the wrong truck and arrived like 5 days late

basically if they dont have it in stock in the 22nd theyre just lazy asses or they reserved their entire first shipment for preorders (which is unlikely)

I called the local Game Stop! store and spoke with the manager. He explained to me that the game will be shipped to the stores on the 22, and that they'll have it for sale on the following day. If you can't trust the manager, than whom can you trust? But he did say there was a chance he would have it at the end of the day on the 22.

I remember when GTA San Andreas shipped here in NZ, gpstore.co.nz had the aus orders (seeking the uncensored version) off a couple of days prior to the street date and the day before all the preorders where shipped to arrive the street date.

Sometimes it doesnt work though when prologue shipped it didnt come the correct morning so i went and purchased a copy and returned the couriered version later on

Actuallt, there are strong inditions that PAL release will finaly have the option to swithch between the mesaurement system (metric - collonial) for the first time in the series, independent from the country chosen.

Also notice that "British AKA English" version is usually "Euro PAL" release with 5 biggest european languages: English, Deutch, French, Italian and Spanish. Other countries are getting variety, depending of SCEE decision to make a localisation for that particular game. Also notice that usually PAL games, despite the localisation mentioned above, are getting English language option as default.

BTW Isn't it ironic that "Collonial" system is still called that way? It makes me sad, in fact..

I ordered the game yesterday morning. Gamestop had a killer deal on that StopWatch Deal for free overnight shipping on GT4. I'm hoping it'll show up in the afternoon on the 23rd. I'm antsy enough as it is to get my hands on this game.
