Its official, NA Release = Feb 22nd

I think delaying GT4 for the states and PAL was actually a smart idea.
It got released in Japan, within 2 days everyone realised the stupidity of some of the things they put in(or didn't) and realised that they had a chance to fix it. Now, only 2 months later (what really is two months? the US usually gets games 3 weeks to 6 months after the Japanese, so 2 months is still a normal release time) they are releasing GT4.......except with 2 player garage cars in arcade, typos fixed, and hey, while they were at it, why not include a few cars that most likely were already modelled but not added to the game for various reasons.
Be happy. GT4 is coming, and I'm going to play it, all the while laughing that I didn't get the messed up mistake, which is still fun but..........

i think canada gets it afew days later than usa does because they have to put in the french instructions along with the game, so that delays it a day or two. anyone know if futureshop takes preorders? i wanna buy it at futureshop, but i wanna make sure theres gonna be some there to even buy.

Usually that is true about Canada, but Electronics Boutique has Feb 22. sticker on the boxes of GT4. I get mine for free because about 8 months ago they were allowing you to trade in 3 PS2 games and get it for free! So I'm now guaranteed my copy on Feb 22

I just hope that when i go get it on Feb. 22, that they heve it there. I've gone to EB before for a game and it was the day of release and they didn't have it yet. They didn't have it for two days. So im hoping that they actualy have it in stock on the 22nd.

It varies, depending on when the game actually goes gold for manufacturing. Usually no less than a week before release (which usually means a month's delay for magazines, but websites can post them right away).

I imagine IGN/Gamespot/etc will have their final NA reviews next week sometime.

I'm also in the boat of not knowing when the game will be in stock at GameStop, where I pre-ordered. I'm hoping the 22nd, but I'm expecting the 23rd. I'll wait until I get the phone call, then call them up on the day and see what they say.

Can't wait that long... no more patients... going the 20th and 21st to see if I can get it just to make sure... then as a last resort I'm gonna camp out in front of Best buy (cuz I have a gift card to there) and wait for the damn store to open! yeah yeah... pathetic I know but I will have that game the minute I purchase it! Oh... dayam maybe I'll bring my power converter, ps2, t.v. tuner card (usb ha ha..), and Laptop along so I can play it faster!!! oh btw, I'm screwing school that day! Muahh ahahha! ok... I pre-ordered at my local gamestop, and they always recieve their games on Monday, and sell them the same day. I got GTA:SA the same way!

Well, I should hope so. From what I saw, Software Etc. and Gamestop are the same, so if what you say is true, I'll be getting the game at the same time as you.

LOL 1 Hour, just call your gamestop the 21st and ask them if they received their order of GT4. They most likely wont have it first thing in the morning but call them around 4pm and ask. Thats what i do.

I'm not trying to piss anyone off, and bring you to the edge of your seats, but... it freaked me out, so please, show me reason to believe this release date is staying Feb. 22nd

I just pre-ordered the game today 3:45pm New York time and the guy told me Feb.22nd -23rd.
