if all else fails you can "GASP" wait a few more days. I'm hoping to get it on the 22nd but it wont ruin my life if I dont.
 
I have it pre-ordered at a store about 4 hours away. Im at university now so i will just wait for my mommy to go pick it up for me and mail it to me.
 
I just read on gamespot.com about GT4 coming out in on 2/22. I was a little surprised at first I thought it was wrong but I see it's true. I hope they add some things that aren't in the Japanese version.

And you'll be waiting for over 24 hours for it. I called Game Stop! and they said they wont have it until February 23. The game, as the manager explained it, gets shipped on the 22, and would be in store, hopefuly, by the 23. He said he might get lucky and get the shipment at the end of the day on the 22. But he said that almost never happens.

Have you had any luck getting games from Game Stop! before, or on, the ship date?
 
I got GTA SA the night before release. They threw a "party" in there.

Sucks to hear the bad news with GT4 release though.
 
If the Peugeot, Jag, and Chaparrals that are in the PAL version aren't in the NA version, I'm going to sit down and have a good cry.
 
Very sad news for me, I've been waiting for GT4 ever since its been talked about and Im leaving for France on the 8th and will return on the ok ready for this? On the 28th!!!!!! Oh well lol. my mom is going to pick up the game on the 22nd, i wonder what the people might think, hmm a lady who plays gt4? HAHAH :) 👍

It's a shame they didn't implement it in all versions to begin with. Kinda strange that after working on the game for years nobody even came up with the idea that it might be nice to race garage cars in 2p mode.

The February 22nd date is the date when the stores will release the game to the public. The stores are supposed to get their copies a day or two before the release date -- but by are bound by contractual agreements (so they cannot sell it before the release date). As for the other question, I don't know.

I went to gamestop today and they told me that they would have it on the 23rd.

That's the same thing they told me and the same thing I posted a few posts ago.

It ain't a big deal to wait one extra day, is it? Besides, now I can concentrate on the "One Day At A Time" reunion special that airs on CBS at 9:00PM on the 22.
 
Too bad its not in stores until the next day. All these PS2 junkies will be camping wal-mart to get their copy :P. Im goign to wait a week or two after the 23rd so ill be sure to get a copy and not have to fight the crouds for it. Not even goign to Blockbuster to rent it, i think i can wait just a little longer than fights crowds.
 
I dont want to preorder it because I dont want to have only one option of where I can buy the game. Some stores are slow around here. I often have to fight with them so they go in the back store to open the damn boxes to give me my stuff.

I went to Walmart when they release the Friday the 13th box set. I asked for it. The answer was.

"huh, we didn't open the boxes yet!"

Well go open the god damn box then!!! I want my damn DVD NOW!!!!

I dont want to have to wait for these guys.

There is 3 Future Shop, 2 Walmart, 2 Staples (Burean en Gros), 3 Radio Shack and 2 EB Games in a 5 miles range from my place.

If I cant get a copy of GT4 without pre-ordering it. Then nobody can. ;)

Or if the next GT had some weird sort of club party, so that you can have Windows Media Player visual effects while a race is going on. Okay, getting to my main points. By the way, there would need to be enough electronica to make for a progressive mix. (^_^)

At this point, this is more of a case of "will the public forgive PD and GT4 for being delayed time and time again?" If the public can forgive PD, then it will be a hit as all GT gamers want to do is race their butts off. All the criticism, all the negative talk, and I kept my mouth shut and didn't go off on some wild tangent and whining to the world (which isn't hard to do since this is an international site) like the world's coming to an end. I stayed mellow and cool. I'll save up some money and get ready to purchase all $49.99 USD of North American GT4. I simply cannot wait. For us here in America, it will probably be out two days after the end of the 2005 Daytona 500 (go Jeff Gordon!). Hope I can get to play-test one at an electronic store or electronic section of a store. You know, just to get a general feel.

But I will make a return to Gran Turismo after a long time away from playing GT3. I'm going to be rusty, but hope not to be TOO rusty playing GT4.
 
By the way, I recently seen the EB Games Sneak Peek at GT4, and I was like... "about damn time!" I cannot wait. Simply cannot. I'm just talking here, but in real life, I'm probably screaming at the top of my lungs in euphoria for this game.

:lol: Honestly, I pretty much won't give a _______ about anything once GT4 freakin gets here and second... WMP... why??? Winamp... hello... especially when it comes to visual effects!
 
Here's my first post, the cherries popped.

What I want to know is when or how can we find out whether or not we get 2 player garage battles, and the final official NA car list. Does anyone know this, is there a buddy we can e-mail or a SONY thing or something like that. I want answers.

Also, I just read all 200 and something posts of this thread, does anyone know if drag races are included in the game (please please please). Not just 1320 test run's, actual racing.

(I really need to get a splash gaurd on the keyboard, there was a messy incident when I read the title of this thread. Don't ask why it was already out of my pants.)
