The four japanese supercars. Ofcourse there are others such as GTO, 300zx etc... but i think these cover the main ones.

Choose away, first to 50 posts wins.

What the fudge is up with all of these polls lately?

What's the purpose behind them? All it does is show what people prefer what car - there's no reasoning there and it's not restricted to the game either.

STOP IT.

tehe, all in the name of fun famine, take a chill pill, and have a go. ^^, ofcourse forums are all about opinions are they not?

There has been alot of polls lately...oh well...There is nothing you can do Famine, we're just going to have to accept it.

I voted for the RX-7, go rotary!

hmm, that seems to be one guy with a crazy poll addiction. If i realy thought it would **** people off then i wouldnt have started it, as said before, all in the name of fun. Why come into a poll if you dont like em?.. And if your worried about the less then 1cm that it takes up when your browsing threads, then sorry for wasting your space. Im sure theres other people who enjoy polls, especially considering the poll hasnt been up all that long and is gathering a fair amount of hits.

That was a valid psychological experiment - and we're still sampling for that.

Hmm. Maybe that last part could have been written better.

Anyway, there's been papers written on urinal choice. I can't see many papers written on why "x" 13 year old likes the Skyline and "y" 13 year old likes the Supra (probably because the answers in both cases would be "Cos its well fast innit an its like got a turbo an stuff I saw it in 2F2F deyd be wickd wiv som NOZ")

What are these threads actually discussing? Which car is better on a specific track? Which car is most tuneable? Which car handles best out of the box? Or are they just excuses for people to bump their post counts up (yes, I realise the irony of ME saying that)?

That's exactly what I'm wondering. I mean, these polls don't seem to have any rhyme or reason, just, exist. Favorite this and that. How about a poll that would help people in the game?

Like a poll on best car for specific series or favorite practice track(I believe that's been done) or maybe even favorite drivetrain and WHY.

Let there be some kind of info gleaned from this polls. I know we have them for contests and what not, but dang. Let's put some thought into these things.

I agree

Polls have a place. Best photo of the week on the photomode forums. A way for moderators to find a preference from users. It is not way for someone to ask, "which car do you like best?" I agree with Famine, these are not what the forum is for. As for what can be done about it, it would have to be going back to the approval-of-every-new-thread mode of operation, loading up the mods to the point of not having a life. You can see how someone would build a tournament of polls, each poll having 3 or 4 cars, "which is best?" and then advancing the winners through brackets till he had the absolute best car in GT4, based on responses from knowledgable users. (That's us.)

Not being a mod, or even wanting to be, ever, I can't come up with anything more useful than this to contribute. Does that make this post less useful than the poll in the first place? Perhaps, but then again, maybe some 12-year-old who finally got his own computer the privacy of his own room, will see this and understand that polling because you can is not necessarily the way to win friends and influence people.

Maybe we should post a poll asking how to deal with useless pollsters? Vote for ignore, ban, torture, maim, or decapitate.

I voted for the NSX, because the others are merely high end sportscars, not supercars. In fact, I don't think there are any Japanese supercars, except the ZZII as someone said, hell 280 hp is not powerful enough to claim the supercar title.

My two cents

NSX - handmade, aluminum, looks, mr, always related to ayrton senna, celebration of hondas domination of f1 (mid/late 80s), handles good, sounds good.

I agree, there are way too many polls up lately.

Anyway, I pick Skyline, the only 4WD car up there.

I think these polls are good if done on a weekly basis (i.e. one poll per week) and this time it should be made by the authorities of this forum with the help of its members.. Also make the choices as diverse as possible..
