i have no problems with polls... the more the merrier. It lets you know what other pplz opinions of certain cars is. useful no, interesting maybe....

that said, i chose the rx7.. but only because you didnt include the 300zx.
the rotary has a nice mix of power and handling... and a lovely engine whine (similar to the whine of some ppl here) :p

Yet another NSX vote..too bad its gone now!

seems every1 likes a safe MR ride here.... boring! :p

A persons opinion is what keeps this forum running.. so why are we getting all sassy about it?

Viewing others opinions is NOT usefull, but meerly interesting, which is what most of the threads are about anyways. So please stop with the complaining, all you seem to be doing is boosting your own post count, seeing that you have posted more then me in here, (and it was me who you were aiming the 'only to boost thier post count' at).

If im not mistakin, dwelling on and around the very similar subject for many posts would almost catigorise you as spamming.

Just let the people who want to be here, be.

Wanting peace, not war,

Since obviously I need to do that...

Actually, I wasn't. However if you took it that way there's obviously some small part of your subconscious which feels guilty about it...

If it's good enough for the Super Moderators...

Famine
... they just excuses for people to bump their post counts up (yes, I realise the irony of ME saying that)?

Who where you reffering it to if not for the creator of the poll?

Again wanting PEACE.... and not war.... :(

i drive/ race a 300ZX, hhm.. i hate this poll now, i'ma not gonna not vote in these gay polls anyways.

and theres should onl be ONE more poll in GTP history, and it should be..

DO WE NEED MORE F'ing POLLS???
NO, THERE GAY AND VERY! STUPID.
NO, THERE GAY AND VERY! STUPID.

well hey i vote for NO, THERE GAY AND VERY! STUPID. i dont know about you.

edit: i think the reason for forums, are for people to yell at eachother on hundreds of noobish subjects, and start yelling at eachother on various, stupid things. look at me i have been here for 2 years, and you have been here for 2 days, there for i'm right and your wrong.

this is not aiming at ANYONE.

What a valid and much needed comment, thanks.<--- not aimed at anyone.

...NO MORE!!!!!

hmm. you antogonise then think you can stop it by saying 'no more'?.. And why do we need people to call others n00bs when we have other people saying 'theyre gay and stupid'.. oh wait very stupid.

my point exactly.

Are there any Japanese supercars?
Lambo88
In fact, I don't think there are any Japanese supercars, except the ZZII as someone said, hell 280 hp is not powerful enough to claim the supercar title.
^You said it. 👍

Well, there is that NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car in GT4...

The Honda NSX gets my vote. It looks great, sounds great, is mid-engined and it is faster and nimbler around a track than the others.

well, why not call them a super car? eh, as far as i kno and i have seen many races, i have seen the USpra lost only ONE drag race, and that was to a skyline, but i have seen hem crush competition such as Lambo, Ferrari, BMW, Dodge, of coarse some of the fastest drag racers are hemis on ultra light wieght frames with a nice piant job. and on coarse tracks, i still see these cars beat "SUPERCARS", infact i have seen a Honda S2000, crush a Ferrari Enzo on track, belive? you better, when a car go soaring around corners just as fast as the Enzo, it comes out on top in accel. I'm not just saying this cause i'm a japanese import lover, but i say this for truth. and i'm not saying that japanese imports ALWAYS win i'm just saying since i have seen a majorty of them beat "SUPERCARS" we theres my thought on that therefor i call those cars, AND my 300ZX a japanese supercar.

I can't believe that those guys are choosing sucky cars like the rx-7. :banghead: I'd just choose the 787B racecar.

wow, omg were talking about production cars, NOT LeMans cars or what ever that is, i don'r pay attention to those races. and um RX-7 is a pretty affective car if it's tune correctly, such as, i have seen people put a turbo, body kits, and a spoiler, AND NOS, and end up with a 600hp car that gets 7 miles per gallon, then i race them and beat them in a 5 hr enduro i was recently in a couple weeks go, finished 2nd out of 30 cars that finish. in the beging there was 50. basiclally none of the people who tuned there cars to have 600+ hp couldn't keep up cause they were pitting ever 9 laps, but for me i ONLY have around 465 hp, but still i get 20 mpg, wich o mean isn't totaly bad but it isn't good, but thats the diference between how to correctly tune and do a poor job and just put lots of hp. so you can make ANY car a winning car so about your RX-7 coment 👎

PS: 1st place winner was a Subaru STi, man that thing was quick.

Modifying a car does not count. Using after market parts to beat a stock car proves nothing. You're giving the After Market companies credit, not Honda.

Anyways, NSX gets my vote. No reason needed.

still i mean, ihave seen lots of stock cars skyline, and NSX beat cars like Ferarri, and i've seen a stock Surpra beat a Lambo, but when you go to modding, you really have to give credt to Nissan/Honda/Acura/Toyota/etc... for having these amazing cars, that actually get's decent mpg, and have great power, great manuverbility.

When you modify a car, you have to give credit to the manufacturers? wth?
You give credit to the Tuners. Why? Because without them, that little car wouldn't have touched the car, let alone the S2000 even touching the Enzo.

Japanese cars keep up because they have great cornering. The supercars use speed to get away, but cornering becomes an issue. However, most companies today, have pretty much found a way to master cornering in their supercars.

Just for the record: I wouldn't consider any of those cars on the list "supercars" in there stock form. Great sports cars, certainly. Supercars....nope.

I agreed with there, they are all falling in Category of Sports car not Super car. NSX might be the closest due to its looks and price, but still not there yet. My defination about Super car would be Porsche Carrara GT, Ferrari Enzo and...

I'm not so sure.

The definitions have changed somewhat thanks to the proliferation of 200mph+ behemoths.

When the NSX was introduced it was designed to - and succeeded in this respect - keep up with the fastest factory Ferrari of the day (the 348). So, the NSX was as fast as the fastest Ferrari - does that not qualify it for supercar status? In fact, as Ferrari improved, so Honda did. The F355 took a lead, the 3.2 NSX clawed it back. The F360 took a lead, so the NSX Type-R took it back. It took the £140,000 F360 Challenge Stradale - three generations and one upgrade later - to finally nose ahead of the NSX. The F430 is at a completely different level now, and the NSX has been laid to rest.

The Skyline... When the R33 was introduced it was the first production road car ever made to lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife in under 8 minutes. The first production road car ever made. That's supercar land and no mistake.

On a purely performance basis, ignoring the relatively low prices (£70,000 for the NSX, £55,000 for the Skylines) and badges, these two at the very least were supercars at the time they were introduced.

How about the Lamborghini Countach? That's a supercar, right? Line one up to an NSX or Skyline and see what happens.

I guess your defination of being a supercar is based on performance on the race tracks. I respect that.

Not at all - hence my qualifier "On a purely performance basis, ignoring the relatively low prices (£70,000 for the NSX, £55,000 for the Skylines) and badges, these two at the very least were supercars at the time they were introduced."

Actually, in my book a car can't be a supercar if the engine's in front of the driver.

Good points famine. When they were made, supercars sure. I guess that the poll should have had a date qualifier on it.

so if the NSX can keep why not call it a "SUPERCAR"?? i mean if it can keep up with a "SUPERCAR". or is it gonna be decided of te engine is infront or not. Famnie you do have good points there, BUT if a car (stock) can keep up with a "SUPERCAR"it should be concendered one, not if the engine is on front or back. i may miss read it, if so please tell me.

in that post i said nothin about a "stock" or even a "modded" S200 beating a Enzo, the driver of the Enzo would have to be a lil kid for that to happen, either that have Homer Simpson drive the Enzo. But when Famine said a NSX keepin up with a F430, i'm sure some were in the world theres a driver that can beat that Enzo, just because the car is a "SUPERCAR" doesn't mean it's gonna win, it's about 80% of the driver, and 20% of the car, its the driver that wins not the car.

i found this thanks to google, i didn't get time to read it, so i'm not sure at all what it says, all i know ita about REASONABLE priced "SUPERCARS" LINK

You want to tell me again, you said nothing about a S2000 beating an Enzo?
Its either stock or modified, but it has to be modified if it can do that.

And if an NSX gets near a F430, that doesn't mean the NSX driver is going to beat the Enzo. The Enzo is a car that pretty much is way out of the NSX, Skyline, Supra, or RX-7's league for that matter.

Plus, most of the time, the driver of the cars is going to know exactly what he's doing, whether Enzo or NSX which means, the driver is much more likely to beat himself if he was driving the Enzo than the NSX.

There's a point to supercar. The NSX keeps up with cars I like to call high-powered sports cars. Yes, it can keep up with Lamborghinis and Ferraris, but when it comes to the straightaway, the Lamborghini 95% of the time blasts away, and it'll depend on the Ferrari model.
