I'm not spending that much money on a wheel for this game. I'll buy the DLC but that's it. To me it's not that important and I can keep pace with mostly anyone with the same DS3 I've had since I bought my PS3 3 years ago. When GT6 comes out if it's on PS4 I'll buy a wheel and all that, by then I'll have the cash available.

I hear ya there Seth, I'm at the point where I can tell that I would be faster with a wheel when it comes to turn in at a corner. I prefer to enter 90 degree turns like Veloci where you ride on the rumble strips and than cut back for great corner speed but that movement can't be done with a ds3 (d-pad), unless your using analog sticks which I'm not using either. I have to pick a spot to jump on the brakes than turn in which ends up blocking/brake checking wheel drivers behind me that just throw the car into the turns. I refuse to buy a standard wheel when the csw is out so I'm in the middle of pieceing it together now. I have paddles and steering wheel (F1), but still need the base @ $450.00, and rig @ $400.00 bucks. I don't mind taking the time or spending the duo because I'll be racing the GT series for as long as I can imgaine, so one day it will be complete!

That's why I've been asking who's a DS3 and wheel. I take a more normal racing line wide-mostly off the brakes before apex-fast out before the apex. I can tell when I'm next to a player on DS3 as they're line's are completely different/glitchy (itchi is the exception to this).

I think the computer picks up the nuisances in the DS3 when parsing the input and uploading it and passing it through the server, cause DS3 racing lines are shaped like polygons.

My wheel was 400SGD. And it was a G27 which is already rather pricey. For a base I used a styrofoam box to mount pedals and a folding table with zipties for the wheel.
Gotta keep the budget in check.

Any times yet? I'm around the low 2:01s, high 2:00.9's race pace.
My Race Report:

Well, i decided to race in cockpit view and screen display off i used only the map with scale set to 2. I usually use the chase cam so it was a big challenge for me yesterday, but i practice with this new view since a week now.
Everything started well from what I seen. I made a mistake early in the race which given the opportunity to Veloci to run away and i was stuck with 3 other Lexus. So i decided to back to the chase cam view to avoid any bad contacts. When i finally managed to create a gap with these Lexus, i back to the cockpit view and it was now the time to chase veloci. I had no idea of the gap between us so i pushed hard until i catch him. I had no idea of my tirewear aswell (all this due to the screen display off) so i decided to copy/paste the Veloci's pit strategy by pitting the following lap.
I had no idea of my lap times but i know Veloci regular in the low 36' and i could race with him (even faster) so i knew my pace was fine at this point. Glad to hit the best lap by the way :)

It was finally i very nice race for me, lot of sensation with the cockpit view, and i had great battles with the Lexus and this little MR-S :)

See you at Nurb guys.
I tried some laps yesterday after our race, hit a 59.4 with my Fuji's tune (and with my ballast aswell)
Bold part ;)

I'm seriously thinking about integrating dbox into my setup. I'm in the home automation and custom electronics integration industry so I can get my hands on product at cost. May hack up a dbox motor and see if i can get some actuators strong enough to lift my ass.

I'm on my Fuji tune as well. I actually took some downforce off and was able to get to 2:00.3 so far. But I don't specialize in hot laps.

I need to sort my gearbox out then I will be happy around 1.59s

After a lot of track time and hard work trying to setup my car I finally got mid 1:59's as race pace. But i think with a better driver and a good setup i think low-mid 1:58's is possible for race pace.

Bored trying to find a decent server to join. Nothing but lameness. Guess GTP is the only way to find some quality racing.

Nice shots man, I like your style 👍

I'm back from Austin and looking forward to this weekend. Glad to see Litchi in the series. Hopefully I'll have time for decent practice.

But are you using analog sticks or d-pad?

I use R2 throttle L2 brake, and use the D-pad or the left analog stick for steering. Lexus seems overpowered here again. That 404hp really gets it moving, and turns 5-7 really suit it.

I set the D-Pad up to adjust the traction control and brake bias while the tires wear down, it would be good if we could adjust the anti roll on the move too,

We can adjust bias on the run?? Gosh I never knew.
Don't remind me, that was bad on the grass. :(
Oh yeah, me and Zach will be having a test day this Sunday at the usual race time since it is postponed. Feel free to pop by guys. :)

Sunday for you and TDZ, Saturday for the rest of us :P

Hi everyone. Is there any chance to join?

Yup, plenty of room, relatively lol. Next official race is December 1st. Please make sure you read the OP about qualifying, race starts, etc.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks, thats fantastic. There is one thing though. I do not have the best internet. Would be great if someone had a pratice room open to see if I can join.

We are having a practice session this week at the actual race time, since this week has been postponed.

Just do read through about the regulations and race starts/qualifying format. Thanks.👍

That's actually a really good idea Phil! It will give you 1 up on the drivers that cant attend, and give you additional data on what to expect come official race day. If I was going to be around I would join, and If I can make it home in time I'll join you guys!
