As promised, Nikko map It does have the option for both up and down hill, and there are road signs for traffic heading up hill as seen here (it says uphill traffic, it means traffic heading up hill)

Edit for spling

...It does have the option for both up and down hill, and there are road signs for traffic heading up hill...
Thank :)

So it is just the uphill road.

This is a map of the downhill road

This shows both roads

Uphill on the left, Downhill on the right

That's pretty cool, though it sucks they only gave us the one way.....If anything else crops up I'll let you know, but I don't think they'd hide other tracks/roads that you couldn't unlock in the record mode.

And I finally unlocked the FD (though I've been using the DRFT one at nights, when the sponcers don't count, though it makes the races a bit short at 18.xxx sec average.....

In TXRD (KB1), the Iroha downhill was only unlocked at the end of conquest mode...

Is this game more fun than initial d? I heard it will only cost like $20 when released but we'll see.

I've not played Initial D (though I wouldn't mind getting my mitts on a copy) but this game is very addictive, and for the initial D fan, there are lots of nods in it's direction. I raced the games equivilent to the Takahashi brothers, on Akagi. They were pretty solid too.

Just to let you guys know why there's two lanes for Irohazaka pass. One lane (the left one) is for buses and the right lane is for regular cars.
So even though the road has two lanes doesn't mean its for a two way traffic.
Honestly though, I like Iroha-2 better than Iroha-1.

Ahh all makes sense now (and last night I'm sure I noticed arrows in both lanes pointing up hill)

I keep trying to find the roads on google earth, but because they aren't in the cities, they are not shown in high detail...but if anyone knows where the roads are (coordinates if possible) and cares to share them that would be cool :)

I can find it in a second on google maps, but that doesn't give you coordinates :(

I do have it on my google earth at home though, PM me. I'll get you the coordinates once I get home ;)

just press ctrl+prntscrn and save it in paint...

Still won't give you the coordinates ;)

Incidentally, the coordinates for the downhill start are:

Latitude : 36°44'38.04"N
Longitude : 139°30'23.94"E

TXRD 2 is out now for the Americans.

I'm pretty sure its KB2.

lol what is up with your avatar Gen:D

It's a goddamn suplex. That's whats up :)

It's Touge No Densetsu, Crave skipped Kaido Battle 2 for some reason.

Just found it today at Toys R Us, it was $14.99, they had about 5 copies of it.

same here (toys r us), 14.99 got it this past saturday.

I got it at movie gallery for 6 bucks, oh lord HDLoader:sly:

so far this seems a lot better but also a lil more difficult since the roads seem more narrow

Finally grab the copy. Seems pretty nice. It's much better than Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift.

Just incase anyone hasn't got this far yet i will help you out. Start a career and enter in all caps BLACKBIRD as your name. You start with a ton of cash. If your not into that kind of thing and want to work your way up the harder\normal way then more power to you, but if not then they're you go! At a certain point it unlocks that message.

i just found out it came out and then i bought it. haven't had time to really play it. finals are up but i did buy a levin tho. I find it harder to drift in than txrd 1.

but i still love the series.

i found it rather difficult too at first but got used to it and actually find it easier now to initiate a good drift. still cant string them together that well like in txrd1 but maybe eventually. in any case, i actually like grip driving more in this game.

Yea I am getting the hang of it...its just so different from the first one I guess. I am addicted to this game tho.

So great to be playing through KB3 again.. in English.

I loved it the first time around even though I couldn't read any of it. Now.. it's even better.

Definitely in my top 10 favorite racing games of all time.

BTW: I'm nearly done already. Only like 15 rivals left.

wow almost done....i am still getting the hang of drifting in it. right now the hand break is my beast friend.

but i just can't put this game down.

well i just started over and got the aw11 it is so much better than that ae85 levin. I can even drift better with it. I am gonna be stickin wit this until i can get a s2000
