I am having a hard time getting used to the drifting part of the game so far. I don't mind the grip part of the game but the drifting is kind of sparatic. Ive got my R240SX fully modded and still have a time with holding a clean drift.

I started with the levin, then an Altezza (that was fun) but currently running an RX7, after geting the DRFT one, then unlocking the new shape rex. The car does everything well, grips like a beast, and with a bit of throttle or breaking you can hang the back end out all day long.

I tend to do low angle drifts in races for looks and the tighter turn radius, unless it's a long race then I'll conserve my tyres.

yo anyone wanna hook me up wit some suspension setting for a aw11...don't know if its my driving but i am getting alot of understeer. might just be my driving. i do outside, inside, outside racing line.

drifting i am better once i took traction control off and took the abs down to zero.

Wow, rotary_freq picked this up yesterday...it's definitely a Genki game. It's kinda like GT4, though, in that its badass car selection and course selection make up for its hideous flaws.

Rotary_freq and I will have to do some Nissan Sunny Truck/Suzuki Carry/Daihatsu Midget II races... :sly:

Can anyone here make a list to show the best engine parts combination for each engine type to get the "critical!!!" hp rating?

Really not that hard. All i did was go to each part and see the hp rating and pick the one that gave me the most...ended with "critical"! I am having a hard time holding long drifts though, can anyone share the set-up for drift they are having success with in a RWD?

And yes this is much better than the D1gp game, that game was horrible horrible...horrible. Beat it in 3 days and the scoring system was severely flawed. Not to mention the annoying judges dialog that looped every 4 seconds. Isn't that right head judge? Who me, who made me head judge!? That crap will haunt me for the rest of my life...rant over.

Well I beat the 3rd slasher and got my beloved s2000...and so i bought the tuned version and i repainted to look like god hands s2000 just the blue might not match up that well...and found some similar looking rims. But it looks close enough.

My next car is a going to be a nissan fo sho...maybe a 180 or a silva...might get a s15.

get an r33 gts-t and take of the wing and give it an angled pipe  it's a great car to learn to drift in:tup:

Well I've been going through the slasher's recently, in my 750hp R34, and last night I had a pretty intense battle with someone known as the Ultimate Emperor I believe. Beat his Renault Clio and now I'm on the 5th stage, Hokkaido is a full on rally course, pretty damn fun!

wow...750hp...i think my s2k will be my main squeeze through out the game. I might get something else i really don't know

can the r34 go any higher then 960hp(i think it's that) i got myn to 90x, but if you go inot arcade mode and fully mode it criticall you can get 950+. So ingame you can get that plus you can up the boost so it will be more, is it possible to get 1000hp from the gtr?

Yep, I bought an S2000 aswell but the moment I bought mine, 650+hp skylines and supras started appearing, and just my luck an R34 Vspec II popped up at the used dealership for 2.5 million cp.

Well i can get everycar but if i don't have the right settings then it just won't handle right. What would having an angled pipe do for handling? I can set up my cars perfect in GT3 but im just having trouble in this game. Check out any one of my video's in my sig and that should show you im not a noob in drifting. It's just this game, i just got Forza yesterday and i have already gotten pretty decent at drifting in it. I watched a video titled Black Jack i believe that was the title. Its on the Forza forum(not on gtplanet sub-forum), man that video was rad! The intro and outro's were just too long though. Quality video though:tup: So does anyone have any settings that they are having good luck with? I even tried lowering the rear sway strength a good bit (which i never do in GT3) and it helped a bit for drifting but keeping the car under control was very hard, so it would go something like drift...go to link and would end up spinning out before i could make it to the next turn because of the rear end not having enough stability in it. Im close to putting the game in the microwave....

lol, the angled pipe is just for looks;)
do you use a wheel or controler? i find it ALOT easier with a wheel(preferably g25 for the quick return rate) as the controler makes it to twitchy, and you can't do the minute addjustments. It can make it tricky to get enough countersteer in time though lol.

yea i a a monster at grip racing, but drifting i suck more than paris hilton.

like when i am grip racing...and i have some oversteer, i counter steer and hold out the drift through out the turn and exit fast as hell. but in ca i am driving so slow hitting every single wall in my face.

I was wondering what a ricy angled pipe had to do with anything, but you never know some games they might make it do something (ahem, NFS series....haha) I use a controller...sigh. I have been wanting to get a wheel for drifting in GT3 but its just no point because in a couple months i will be getting a PS3, and it would be just plain dumb to buy one and then have to buy another one for PS3. But that might be one issue because the cars are "twitchy". I can speed drift but as far as exhibition drifting...its a no go. If you didn't lose all of your points after you smacked a wall i would be ok, but after i start to come out of that drift and try to recover...twitchin it back and forth until my nose dives into the wall and stays there.

Hi all
I must admit, I never heard of Kaido Battle before. Just bought Kaido Racer 2 (Europe) because I wanted a new racing game and this one looked nice and was cheap. I didn't regret it and I don't think i ever will ;) It's a wonderful game :)
I played it until the 3rd Stage on my PS2 (Omote Rokko, Shiga Kusatsu, Nikko) and was wondering when the Onevia will be unlocked. You guys are always talkin' 'bout this car :) All i unlocked was a Daihatsu Midget II, a Suzuki Works 660 and a Toyota iSt.
I was at day 17 and started with a Toyota Levin AE85. Was, because i started all over again on my PS3 with a Toyota MR2 AW11! This car is really easy to drive :) I've already humiliated the first 2 slashers

Can anyone here make a list to show the best engine parts combination for each engine type to get the "critical!!!" hp rating?

that aw11 is a little beast. I bought a rx7 fc...but didn't like it to well so i sold it and bought a 180sx type x and this thing drifts like a dream now.

still trying to fine tune my s2000 its still not turning right and i am taking proper racing line.

i am still hopped up on making the car look like the s2000 from initial d.

ive been a txr freak since way back in its dreamcast days. i was overjoyed to hear this game was out. the txr games are the only reason i keep my ps2 around. been playin drift 2 for a few days now and im lovin it.

I just made it to the 3rd stage last night. Ive been rollin in a sileighty I snagged from the used car lot  cant wait till i unlock some evo's and sti's and gtr's. only sti i have unlocked right now is a gc wagon, tho the forester sti you unlock after the first stage is lookin kinda tempting. my sileighty is having no problems dispatching opponents so far tho, so i'll hang w/ that and continue to bank credits for future mods/cars. how many stages total are there to get through anyways?

its pretty funny how much they take from initial D in these games. i think it was the slasher from..akagi? his little video scene showed him driving past a gas station that looked like the one from initial d, then past a tofu shop w/ an 86 parked next to it, then past a dealer or something that had a yellow fd and a white fc parked next to each other

I'm still at Stage 3 just unlocked the 3rd Short Course, but I heard that there are 5 Stages in conquest mode.
I'm racing with an Toyota MR2 AW11. But for the fast races i bought a Silvia R-Spec S15 and painted it pink. Just like the one in the Intromovie :D
And i bought an AE86 for the Trueno/Sprinter race. This race gives you alot of C-Level Points :) Raced it 4 times and now im at C-Level 10 *happy*

Enjoy drifting.

i might be getting my 3rd copy:D ive had 1 'backed up' version of kiado battle 3: touge no densetsu($65), 1 retail version of it($135), ane mabe getting, tokyo extreme racer drift 2, it's currently at $40(of trademe.co.nz) for comparison new games come out at about $110 and $115-120 for CE editions.

Someone was asking about getting engine to critical so heres engine and turbo:

iTURBO: nline straight cyclinder: intercooler, GME co; turbine, TZM co; air cleaner, TRM co then you will have turbo critical on your inline straight cyclinder!

v-cylinder: intercooler, TRM co; turbine, CRA co; air cleaner, KW then you will have turbo critical on your v-cylinder!

ENGINE: inline straight; parts a, use AKP co; parts b, use HRM co; parts c, use UNI co then you will have critical s-engine power!

v cylinder: parts a, use BAS co; parts b, use HRM co; parts c, use UNI co then you will have critical v-engine power!

Man Dani Filth(thats right, im a big fan), oh well i was trying to help out i guess i missed that HUGE section already posted about it....:ouch:

lol, nice man, i was just showing it had been posted:tup:

Not sure if this has been covered in this thread or not, but...what exactly does the "winker tune" do?? (in the appearance section)

makes your blinkers stay on(don't blink).

i think, i can't really remember lol

Its things like this that make a good game just seem chessy. Im suprised you can't buy a 89 Accord and build a wooden wing (which i seen someone in my city that had one made out of 2X4's, it's not theyre fault though, they were spanish...wooden wings must be huge in mexico?) or maybe take a corsica or beretta and put neuspeed stickers all down the side. I just don't see why developers take good games and put such crap in them like fireflies and led lit windshield washer deals:crazy: I would love to see a racing game that had good features like Forza and tracks like Kaido with circuit tracks also. And also have upgrades such as Forza like engine swaps but take that further to where the engine didn't have to come from a certain vehicle to swap it.

in other word's c1gp(but instead of mountain's highway's)
