You know what one of my fav. parts of this game is besides the difficulty??

My DFP + MC2 Setup works with it. I likie.

It was a true ordeal to get this game.

I tried 8 different stores before I finally found a copy at Circuit City. I bought both copies on the shelf at $14 each.

I tried 2 best buys, 2 walmarts, 2 targets, an EBGames and a Gamestop. EBGames & Gamestop didn't have the game in their computer, neither did the best buy. I'm really confused how this happened.

Tonight, after the kids go to bed, I'm going to start drifting. Woo hoo!

(BTW, cool on the DFP/MC setup, rsmithdrift! I never got around to buying a MC to complement the DFP when driving Enthusia and TOCA3, but this might finally be enough games to make it worth my while.)
 
yes haha i finally got this game and i must say it is pretty good not really granturismo but still pretty good...i started off with a hachi and as i got more parts and got faster there was a little more realism to it...some one has to make a walkthrough though i cant seem to find any sponsors...

hey just a side ques can you use a wheel?
 
Well my DFP booted right up in 200 mode and it sees it as a GT Force with a controller on it or something, it's wierd. You change the button assignment in the controller options under controller, not wheel. And the ff is more of a rumble when you hit something, but o-well. And it just happened to be set up by default to have the ebrake as shift + on the dfp and shifting as the shifter on the MC2. It was pretty cool. I wish it had a clutch though. More games need that.

Also, the MC2, DFP setup works on GT3, GT4, Enthusia, TXR3, TXRD. It unfortunately doesn't work on TOCA 2, Not sure about TOCA 3.
 
I have an external shifter in a similar connection setup to the DFP/MC, and unfortunately it doesn't work for TOCA 3... or at least I haven't found out how to do it.

I feel your pain, brother. The worst part is the look in the salespeoples' eyes when you're asking for a game that, as far as they can tell, does not exist.
 
This sucks so bad, one of the eb stores here actually have the game, but all sold out. They only had 3 copies. I called another store (i forgot its name) and they have 2. What made me mad is that its $49.99. I asked why its so expensive and they said well becuz its new. So yeah thats bs and ill hav to wait for another shipment in EB. T______T
 
Best buy was the place for me, literally walked right in and it was on the first shelf for ps2 I walked to. Sorry, not to rub it in on you guys that cant find it. I suggest ebay, I saw acouple go for 10 bucks with 4 for shipping earlier.
 
Ok, so I just realized that used cars already have some preformance stuff, or may already at least. I couldnt figure out why air filter and mufflers were decreasing my hp. That was until I realized that you have to upgrade the engine to get pos hp outta these parts.

D'oh.

There are 4 wal marts within a 20 mile radious and they all have 5+ copies each @ 14.99. Also there is a Best Buy and a Cuircuit City literally across the street from where I work, and an EB, and Gamestop, and Target, and Kmart. Judging from how much trouble people are having finding it, I think you could possibly make a successful business of that. :lol:
 
I have to check eb and walmart store today and tomorrow. If i still cant find it, maybe ill buy one from rsmithdrift 👍
 
Needed to put some gas in the car and there was a Walmart nearby... Decided to check...
There was none displayed.... to my dissappointment... but...
I looked down, and there they were... a whole batch full of them... :)
Finally got my copy of the game...

its quite a bit of fun. i got mine at best buy, they don't have on their site though.....atleast i don't think they do, i stopped checking after i got my copy.
i was sick today so i pretty much played it the whole day. can anyone say 22B? its a lot of fun, i think its pushing somewhere in the area of 34x PS and 49.0 kg of torque <8- )
i can't wait till i have enough spare change to build either a mazda AZ-1 or a suzuki Cappuccino.

yeah, the exhaust, intake, and cooling unit or whatever its called will usually give you a loss in hp until you buy the engine upgrade.
 
I got the game for $20 in EB. Apparently, they only have one copy. So I guess im lucky no one bought it. The game is keeping me hooked up, and the 3 way battle is sickk. For now im going with the 86 👍
 
$20 is a bit expensive...I bought it for $17, but Best Buy here has it for $11...

(all prices in this post are Canadian dollars, of course ;) )
 
Started with a Trueno also... Wanted a MX-5 but costed a bit too over the starting credits... Been eyeing the 22B and finally got it:)

Though that reminds me of some show... (Got the Aero kit for the Trueno and all) 💡 it is a coincidence... I wanted an Impreza from the start...
 
This game is more fun than it has a right to be.

I got off to a slow start, because I refused to upgrade my AE86. I drove it stock until I had enough scratch to buy a Miata.

Now that I've got my Miata, I'm piling on the upgrades, power last.

I'm on one friggin' track, and having a blast. How is this possible, when in GT4 I'm constantly seeking out new tracks for fun?
 
Right now im at Haruna too, trying to find the other Slasher. Havent bought any car yet but planning to buy S15. Is there an option where u get to make your own logo? I remember watching a kaido battle vid making one.
 
Seems everyone is progressing quite nicely. I was actually expecting this to be a bit more difficult than it is.

I've worked my way up quite a bit now- I'm on Iroha B and currently trying to take down Inzamu. So far I've had over 30 battles against him and still can't win. My 300+ HP Evo is no match for that blasted 600HP Mines GTR.

A question. How clean do most of you race? I try to make it a very clean race, but lately against a couple FRs, I ended up playing dirty- using Shingo's technique from ID. You know, the weakpoint of the FRs :sly: FR>AWD:tdown:

At anyrate, maybe we should get a vid thread down for this. I'd like to see how some of you guys drive :) and some of your hardest battles.
 
im a little bit into Iroha B now. man that NSX w/ the s2k at the same time was a pain in the ass with an s15 lol
