Probably has something to do with the fact that GT5 came out almost a year before the new Lambo design was even publicly shown. Just a guess though................

Because it wasn't out yet when GT5 was released. I think the car wasn't even annouced then. I think it will be in the first DLC with new cars.

It's a possbility.

👍
PD could add it if they want to. That's if they get the license.

They have the Lamborghini License so this should be no problem. It has slowly but surely become one of my favorite cars, I really hope its in the next DLC.

They have the Lambo license so does that grant them the rights to all cars? Or are there separate licenses for each car?

No they have licenses for everything in the game so far but for cars they are all individual. (likely anyways)

To be quite honest I don't get the fascination about this car. To me it's just another space age uber heavy hyper car.
I must admit though it does look stunning...

It looks stunning, but the point of it is how Lambo designed it. All the other Lamborghini's focused on, "Go fast, scare driver, bludgeon driver to a painfully tortures death". The focus on this car was handling WAY over power and it still has 700 naturally aspirated slightly less murderous horsepower.

I have no idea on how it handles, although it seems to be another tank which defies the laws of physics by relying on computer technology.
If you want painfully beautiful, exiting, and historic cars get a McLaren F1, Ferrari F40 or Honda NSX-R. These cars changed the whole super car genre. I don't think the aventadordor will have the same effect. It'll have it's fame, then pass.

Although it is the not exactly dead on seriousness that is Top Gear, you can see it's performance on the lap. Third fastest street car ever around the track. Behind the Ariel Atom V8 and the Veyron SS.

The aventador should not be called a tank as it uses a lightweight design and construction methods.

What does it matter what methods were used?

They were forced to use lightweight materials to make up for the 4WD system, modern safety features and other VW technological tricks. Regardless of their methods, the Aventador weighs over 3400lbs without a driver, and that makes it pretty much a tank.

The Veyron was fast around TGTT also, does that mean it's not a tank?

It may be heavy, but it handles extremely well for it's weight so there's really no reason to call it's weight a problem.

In today's world, 3400lbs is FAR from a tank.
It's hard to find 2 wheel drive cars that weigh less then that anymore, aside from "compacts".

3400 pounds is as light as most any sports car made anymore, super lightweight rarity's aside.

So, every modern sportscar is a tank, then. The LF-A, 599 GTO, One-77, 918 Spyder, etc....

The NSX-R was neither "painfully" beautiful nor did it change the whole supercar genre. It could be argued that the original NSX DID force Ferrari to improve their build quality and driveability, but it certainly wasn't a game-changer. The other two were stand-outs in their day(s), but come on, the supercar game has moved on 17 years since the McLaren F1.

Do we think that people even think before they post? Before every post, there should be a pop up saying "have you thought about this post".

You don't have time to think up there. If you think, you're dead.

I don't want even want that (both the topic and the car).

Stop complaining, they are only humans, humans have lives and take breaks, especially from hard work.

Maybe you complainers should try taking breaks.

This would be a reputable point worth acknowledging, except that it isn't. GT5 has featured countless conceptual designs before they were mandated for production, if they were mandated - Ford GT Concept (both of 'em), Cadillac Cien, Audi Le Mans Quattro, RX-8 Concept, etc, etc. All of those conceptual designs that were either scrapped or made the cut.

As for your second point... New DLC has come and gone. No Aventador. Honestly, I wouldn't even count on it but that's just me. I'm done being optimistic with GT5.

Kind of like what you did here? Or am I wrong?

Never had there been such a focused, well packaged super car like the McLaren F1. I believe it is still the pinnacle of super cars. I admit, the rear suspension setup may have been flawed, but it the closest thing to perfection available to drive on the road, in my opinion. :D

What, what?

You're saying that NSX didn't change the supercar game...when infact it was the NSX which inspired Gordon Murray to make the F1, the car which changed the supercar game and re-invented the term hypercar (hypercars before F1 were F40, 959, XJ220 and Diablo).

And about the F1 - it still is the most perfect supercar ever made, despite it beeing over 17 years old.
