I'm going to be organizing my Endurothon and then waiting in line to get my CE!
 
I'm going to be at school on the 24th.
- First off im going to go to EBgames on the 23rd to see if they give me the game.
-If not then i'll come back from school on the 24th, go to EBgames, pickup my CE baby, baby it home.
-I will then carefully take off the clear plastic packaging being careful not to screw up since there would be tears in my eyes and i cant see
-smell the box
-change pants
-open the box, smell it
-change pants
- put the disc in the PS3 and read the APEX book while it installs :)
- skip the intro
- go through the car list and masturbate vigorously
-play the game, crash cars and be disappointed by the damage model :ouch:

3. Go to school.
4. Come home.
5. Play.

Repeat step 5 over & over again.

Well I'm going to have to cancel my preorder because it looks like I'll be on a road trip when it releases. Will Wal-Mart release the game at midnight? I'm hoping I can pick it up at one without having to preorder... we'll see!
 
Well I'll start by playing a little Prologue, and get the last 2 gold trophies that i can't seem to beat. Yell @ the kids to do their homework. Send them to bed, then go get inline for my SE edition. Stare at the box for afew hours. Take the time to install the full 10GB, should be worth it. Drink abunch of caffine to stay awake. Play till my eyelids won't stay up no more. It's been a long wait.......

Well, I'm not sure on the release date in Aus, so I'll get up, go to work, head down to JB hifi at about 1pm-ish and pickup the "SIGNATURE EDITION" (WOOT!!) then look at the box/read the Apex book all afternoon before jumping on the motard and getting home as fast and safe as possible (legally of course :P), then install the full 10Gb whilst eating and driving the SLS AMG around the dinner table like a child... and then... PLAY!!!

06-16 cough me Guts up after me 3rd Smoke (Almost a Religion now wish I could give up)

07-00 Look at clock and wonder if Time is Standing still (5 year Wait , 1 Hour before I can Leave to Pick up GT5)
08-00 Jump in Van , Drive Carefully into Town , Find Parking space
08-20 Walk too Store from Parking area
08-30 Look at Queue Outside Shop and think "maybe I should've left Earlier"

06-45am 26th November , Drag my tired and Mentally drained self into work after Playing GT5 till I Fall Asleep at the wheel for 2 Days

**GT4 I played for 23 Hours Non-Stop , slept for 5 hours and played for another 17 hours Non-Stop , Will GT5 Surpass that ???. From What i've seen so far YES**
 
Slightly off topic here but has anyone seen a thread or could they create one regarding where they have preordered from and if they think they will get it on the release day....

what will we do if our copies dont arrive on release day... particularly in the UK with the awefull royal mail service....

cheers I would create the thread but i can't cuz i have only 6 posts!

Royal Mail have never let me down with game deliveries. I've made 45 orders from ShopTo so far and every single one of them has arrived next day. Usually the day before release, occasionally on release day, and a few times two whole days before release.

I know a couple of people who said they haven't received their game but that's probably down to their local postal services being a bit crap. Shopto do get a lot of praise though, most people who use them consider them to be the best option and as I said, I've ordered 45 games so far with perfect service up till now.
 
i dont work that day so i hope my preordered game is in the mailbox sometime during the morning...

and then im gonna play..

also i dont work the next day (the 25th) so.. off duty there too. enough time to game..
 
I will be 7 hours away from my copy and ps3 until the 26th visiting family, I will then drive as carefully fast as possible that friday to get home to pick it up. Luckily I have a 5 month old son to keep me occupied and busy before I get it.

I've never used Game before, but I've heard mixed reactions on forums. I've heard of people getting their copy a day early, but also some people getting theirs a day late.

Game seem to ship based on the order they received the preorders, and don't necessarily make it a point to get everything sent the same day if they don't have the time. Shopto staff on the other hand, have mentioned going into work on a Sunday to make sure every single copy of a big release (I'm thinking Halo, GTA IV here) is packed and ready for shipping... which is why their service is so trusted.
 
25th and 26th free from work.... 4 days straight playing GT5... that is what will happen... 👍

Release date is apparently November 25 in Australia, around the time holidays begin, timing couldn't be better. :D

LOL, holidays mean nothing when working full-time. 25th is a Thursday, thankfully, I don't work weekends so at lease I get 2 days straight of racing goodness. Now to save for a wheelstand pro and G27....
 
I've booked off the 24th, 25th and 26th.

I'm assuming the game will arrive on Wednesday (24th) so will spend the previous night and day with my girlfriend up until the game arrives, then probably say our goodbyes (unless she wants to bask in the glory of the intro etc. and have a go...) then get stuck in.

Think on the 23rd I'm going to cook up a load of mince or something to keep me alive over the next 5 days of awesome.

Have a nice looong shower
Roll and Sausage for breakfast
Go to job interview at 9 (Door Usher, Woo! .. and wish me luck :D)
On way home, pop into shop and buy it
Play it for a bit, then probably go out. :)

Forget Interview (it only disturbs vital gaming hours)
Run into Shop and buy it
Play it until you collapse with lack of sleep
 
I won't be in the UK until December, so I'll be stuck overseas knowing my copy of GT5 is sitting on the table collecting dust just waiting for me! :(
