yep - NEVER even THINK of purchasing an IBM....Well, i was FORCED to lease it by my university.

So far, I've had it in for service 3 times to find out I had a defective motherboard and had it reformatted 4 times due to ****ty software support from the school and even worse software support through ibm

Don't buy their home line stuff, but their business line products, specifically laptops, are some of the best you can get.

Fo' future reference, a 2.6GHz Celeron is worse than a 1.6GHz Duron.

I never would buy an intel based rig anyways - unless it had a pentium mobility WITHOUT the centrino wi-fi card (they suck arse). But, that's not how life goes. My school has a contract with IBM. If I want to study IT Management at this university (only one in canada to offer ITM), I HAVE to lease whatever they choose to offer. Sooooo, for the next year and a half, i'm stuck with this piece of ****. Then, i'll have the option to spend an additional $500 to buy this off or spend another $1500/year to get whatever *new* laptop they force me to take up.
