First of all, I read all your replys.
Second, I looked around GT mode again and ran across some interesting things....
Third, I really really want another class now.
Fourth, to institute all these new changes we will have to startover. Q times thrown out, everything, but its up to you guys. Seeing that there isonly 5 of us, and I'm sure we want the best possible series, this shouldnt be toomuch of a problem.
And finaly, the credits could be used on tires, how many or what type you can use. Just an idea for now
OK, A day ago I was thinking about multiple classes and timed races. Multiple classes at a specific lap event like the 300km of R246 won't work, because the LMP cars would complete 60 laps in lets say 60 minutes, and the GT cars would complete it in around 67 minutes. So how do you score them? Timed races was the only posible way, but GT endurance races only have 3 timed races that allow you to use racing tires, and two of them are 24 hours long. So I was stuck with a big problem. Practice has no tire wear so it was out of the question. Arcade mode lacked setup options and has a different feel.
Then it hit me
In a 24 hour race, why not just run to a certain time limit, like 4 hours? Once your 4 hours into a 24 hour race at lasarthe or nurburgring look at your lap counter and time as you cross the finish. Bingo. Timed races at Nurburgring and Lemans. 4 hours, 8 hours 12 hours, however long you want. Now at Fuji 1000km and Suzuka 1000km same rule applies only the race can last nolonger than 5 hours becasuse thatsw about how long it takes a LMP car to run it
So a schedule could look like this:
2:45'00.000 of Infineon Sports Car Course
4 hours of Suzuka
4 hours of Fuji
8 hours of Nurburgring
12 hours of lemans
or anyway you want it (not final race lengths or order)
Yes or no?
And a better, unique way to handle the cars. Only 2 of each car available.
Pescarolo #17
Pescarolo #18
Audi #1
Audi #2
Bentley Speed 8 #7
Bentley Speed 8 #8
And so on
GT class would include: (2 of each available)
Dodge Viper GTSR Team Oreca
Chevorlette C5R
Pagani Zonda Race Car
Ford GT40LM Race Car SpecII
Nissan GTR Concept Race Car
And as for the long events, you will have to, just as they do in real life, let 2 B-Spec buddies to do some of the driving. You name them etc.
And whoever picks the same car as you is automatically your teammate, and must share information etc
Also another rule that could be incorporated is a pit stop tire change penalty for hitting the wall at any time or getting into a sand trap, not grass, but sand. This will show who is good at keeping it between the curbs, and punish the sloppier drivers who take advantage of GT's lack of damage. This will also give the slower more patient drivers a better chance at winning. And will mix things up ALOT during the race
Sorry fellas for wanting so much change so late. I feel like a complete amateur at hosting a Long race series...well I am an amateur at it anyway. Dont feel too bad if you already ran the 150, I did already too but if your like me you will glady accept change...at least one more time. I think these different races and rules would do so much and would help this series, now called ESES (Earth's super endurance series) If you're like me than you will want the best possible rules etc in season 1
Once again sorry for asking so much so late...I just had a ton of ideas run through my mind Sunday evening and I'm sure you guys will like the ideas...if not OK
edit: chassis refreshed will be allowed and team development...I will try to think of a way to incorporate that
