i also like the new hud pretty neat done 👍
i saw fuelmeters too in some screenshots :odd:

I've seen no in-car driving screen shots yet (that I'm aware of). I wonder if they're trying to hide something that is going to be on the dash.

EDIT: SCRATCH THAT!

 That's looking pretty amazing! There's quite a few pics there that are new to me. I particularly like the way many of the tracks appear to be out in the open, as some of the ones in GT3 felt a bit enclosed.

I'm really looking forward to the open top cars, especially bombing along in a Griffith 500 with the top down!

Well, I don't know that it will be that different from the driving perspective, but replays and opponents will look cooler! (:

not if it's not finnished, I don't want to get half way through and find some bug's just wiped my garage, or find cars sort of going through each other if you hit one hard against a barrier like in GT2. I want GT4 to take as long as it takes for PD to get it as close to perfection possible on PS2.

Good point Live4speed.

I want a complete and finalised specification of a game, I don't want to see stuff taken out to push the release date earlier otherwise it will not feel that complete.

:trouble:

It's a little test track in the middle of Fuji Speedway wich is like an oval shape but has a chicane down one of the straights.

Looking at some of your replies here, I guess GT4P has only been released in Japan then?

Apparently only in Japan and China, I'm a little bit confused is there a Korean Version as well? - Or am I being uneducated basing this on peoples poor recognistion between Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters, someone posted something about a Korean Version but I think they meant Chinese.

Is this a similar idea/track except for the Grand Canyon?

Yes, you're right there... thats another small test track somewhere in the vicinity of the Grand Canyon track.

Yes, there is a Korean version of Prologue as well. It was released later than the first two, so it has no bugs with the GT Force Pro.

Hmmm, there's a mclaren SLR!:D

I like that little track. It looks lke fun to race around. I hope I can race around it.

Out of all the pics, the first two were the best.

Meh. I was flipping through the channels over the weekend, and I came across this rap star with one. He was beaming and bragging how he has one of only 6 available, then he did a burnout. Big deal. The car ain't that special.

Meh, indeed.

Well, I've not seen it given a single bad review, it's badged the Mercedes SLR but McLaren helped make it.

No, it's an SL55.

No, the new SL55 looks quite similar, the SL55 hasn't been seen yet, if it makes it into the game at all.

I'm not giving it a bad review either; I'm just tired of all these stupid, boring "Supercars." They're often owned by rich guys who know nothing about how to drive or how cars work.

If it's one thing I love about GT4, it is the amount of detail. I mean, you don't have to like Gran Turismo, auto racing, or racing games. But just look at GT4. Big freakin' shoutout to Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital. The cars look amazingly detailed and almost as if I'm watching Speed Channel or some incredibly-detailed DVD instead of playing a PS2 game. While it's a shame that you have to port GT4P to play it (and some other stuff), Prologue only gives you a small sampling of what to expect for GT4. I can remember when GT2 came out as a demo. I raced a Mustang on Rome Circuit, and the graphics were a huge step up from GT1. So I can imagine if GT4 came out at some electronics store as a demo.

Man, this really excites me. When GT comes out, let me tell you people something. If you have never gotten into auto racing or the Gran Turismo series, GT4 will give you a chance to get into what you've been missing out on. These pictures alone won't get you into it. But check out all the extra grunt and muscle PD is putting into making GT4 quite possibly, the best racing game EVER. Now sure, people will pay homage to Pole Position from the 80s, Sega Super GT from the arcades in the 1990s, but 2004, Gran Turismo 4 will most likely be the best racing game your money can buy. Others will try, but I think KY and PD want to make GT4 the very best. I'll be interested to see what GT5 will be like. Until then, we can only dream. dream... dream... dream... but wake up once GT4 will be in stores!

It will be! I'm going to mount a big fan on top of my TV and turn it on when I'm using an open top car. Still need a way to make it speed up in synch with the car though...

Mad ramblings aside, it is of course the replays and opponents I'm looking forward to seeing. The Griff doesn't look too bad with the rag top, but it really spoils the looks of the Cobra.

You could hook the speed controler to the accelerator pedal if you use a wheel, it won't be spot on but it'll be more realistic.

Now that's an excellent idea! I don't use a wheel, but I'd buy one if I could work my fan with it!
