If GT6 release on PS4, they should add thesse tracks to GT5 as DLC. They're not looking like Nextgen track not even Premium tracks.

I know, but why would they model them in gt5 and not sell them?

Like I've said that they've also modeled other things, but haven't put it in the game. They decided whether they wanted to put the NASCAR cars and kart track in GT5 and they didn't. They can also decide whether they want to put Apricot Hill and Seattle. We also saw Willow Springs in the Corvette Stingray C7 trailer and PD can decide if they want to put it in GT5 and so far they haven't.

But, like I said, that stuff was before gt5's release.

Not Willow Springs or Apricot Hill or Seattle.
What if PD changes their mind and adds the kart track or NASCAR cars. Sure it would be very delayed, but they still have it modeled and ready for what they want to do with it.

The city of Piazza del Campo did not approve of the virtual track so it was not added. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

2009 NASCAR's were simply updated to 2010 so no need for the previous year.

They didn't say we would get them in GT5 or if we wouldn't and every update doesn't have to be a new car/track. There were other things shown in GT5 trailers that we still didn't get. 2009 NASCAR cars, Piazza Del Campo kart track etc.

Piazza Del Campo was dropped before release due to legal reasons.

I forgot about the whole outrage about the flags in that track since it happened years ago.

They still probably have the 2009 NASCAR cars, but I don't see why they didn't put them in. I know the cars were from 2009 and the game came out in 2010, but they still should have been in GT5.

I mean the stuff they didn't release, it was before and they didn't make it because things changed by the time gt5 was released.

We still don't have the NSX yet and have never been hinted on getting it in GT5. Everybody has been saying it will be in GT6. I know that isn't a reliable resource, but I think it will be in GT6 and not GT5 in my opinion.

Yes, hoping for that too, and they were in the same trailer (NSX and the tracks.)
*Sorry about the quote fail.:grumpy:

so maintenance was done without needing to shut down the service. Awesome.

I don't think so, I played through the scheduled maintenance, only to have issues after the scheduled end of the maintenance period.

Just to point out, the NSX is not finished yet. The new SH-AWD system takes time to develop. PD can't release a car in GT5 if it doesn't work properly in the real world. As for Piazza Del Campo & the 2009 NASCAR models, they have already been said. So now everything should be clear for you guys

Thanks for pointing that out. I hope they at least add the tracks for now.

If they pile everything new into GT5 DLC, what does that leave them with to show off for GT6?

I would hope they have plenty of content for gt6, kaz said for gt6 they need to add something they can't add in a DLC, but I know what you mean. There can't be many more DLC's to come.

I think we'll have a better grasp on amount of remaining DLC content for GT5 once the PlayStation meeting takes place.

If they say PS4 will be released within the year, I can only imagine, one maybe two free little DLC's. If it's longer than a year, they might introduce a new track pack, maybe some single car DLC's. But nothing is set in stone until PD decides to make up their mind. Which even then they will most likely change multiple times before anything happened

A new console + sequel announcement means the exact opposite: less dlc or nothing at all. No idea why you say it will be free as well.
The problem with your assumptions is that you are not considering the actual new content that was released as DLC in GT5 so far: it is less than half, since most of it is either duplicates or gt4 content (copypasting).

In the end first day of maintenance was maintenance.

one question though if PD started working on GT6 as soon as GT5 was launched it can't possibly be for the ps4 as they would not of had anything close to the ps4 software and hardware yet...so how can GT6 be on the ps4? i can only see it as a last chance shot to keep the ps3 alive... imo

Maybe they are transferring or updating their data to the PS4's software while working on GT6.

From a marketing standpoint it would actually make more sense to throw out some tidbits of DLC over the next few months to bridge the gap, keep the existing customer base happy and playing the game.

The majority of the game is cars...now look at GT5, only fresh, new cars are premium, for the majority of the game, if they stick to typical practices, a vast majority of the cars will be a copy-and-paste job. And I don't even know what to expect in regards to racing and actual gameplay
