No one knows. But it did say "online play may be unstable" right? That means it is a maintenance but we are still able to play online. So you won't know when it started and stops

Maintenance for today might just be to make changes to their servers one at a time, which is why people can still race online. Maybe the second maintenance is a console update, or maybe both are going to be done server-side *shrug*

They didn't say we would get them in GT5 or if we wouldn't and every update doesn't have to be a new car/track. There were other things shown in GT5 trailers that we still didn't get. 2009 NASCAR cars, Piazza Del Campo kart track etc.
