I thought we were just talking about the horse's mouth? And now you bring in information from the cow's poop pile?

A distributer's ship date is worthless. They're simply making up dates. If you aren't getting information from the source (horse's mouth) then don't share your information. And even then the information can be changed.

Spoken to Sony have you?... Sony's sites are the worst place to get dates, places like DVDcrave always have more acurate dates and as well they should. Its their bread and butter.

I agree that Sony's sites are bad places to get info, but not the worst. But to say DVDcrave have more accurate dates is probablty wrong. Many sites make up their own speculatory release dates just to increase pre-orders.

I'm afraid I'm missing the logic here... why would a news site have "inside information" that Sony themselves hasn't released? The only real information we have on release dates is what's revealed by Sony (after all, it is a first-party title). Until an announcement is made by Sony or PD concerning a delay, I'd take anything I see elsewhere as speculation and rumor. It's possible that the distributors are simply drawing up a "worst case" scenario based on PD's mention-in-passing of a possible delay in Europe. Nothing's confirmed.

Atleast PAL have GT4:P.... :dunce: :ouch: :irked: :banghead:

YES! :D No, wait a minute.. . 💡 .. :). .. :indiff: .. :ouch: #¤#%"!

Edit: Found a few more smileys.

Keep calm people. It hasn't been confirmed. Yet. Just... keep... calm... :sly:

AAAHHH PANIC PANIC I WANT GT4 NOW :scared: :nervous: :irked:

Indeed. And the official Playstation sites are not to be trusted. GTA San Andreas will come out on 22 oktober according to the ps sites........NOT :dopey:

Didn't PD say the online version was delayed because of problems with it working in Europe? If so maybe they decided to release the game with online capibilities in Japan and the US in december but delay it in Europe, to work out the problems, instead of releasing two versions of the game. Thats what I think but I could be totaly wrong.

No I haven't . And I haven't said anything honestly about release dates either. And that's the point!

That's a good point. All we have is the Toyota demo that was great for about 5 minutes. I wish we had Prologue!

Wouldn't there be a press release released to notify the online stores, and news websites? Why haven't we seen this?

Bugger if it is true. I have waited long enough. A piece of me will die today.

Reason for delay to Australian market (humor).
1. PD know that Aussies are fast and have to use the extra time to lower the Gold license test times. Just like GT3.
2.Time to translate English to Australian.
3.Time to remove crap American/European cars and replace them with good Aussie cars.

Also gives me extra time to work out the best used car to buy first off. 👍

Edit : I just checked here:

http://au.playstation.com/release_schedule/listing.jhtml

The Australian playstation site and the release date is December TBC (meaning to be confirmed.

Yes they like to get preorders... So why in the world would they push the release date so far back? No one is going to preorder a game that is still half a year away on their site when they can go to another site which is giving a closer date. They would he shooting themselves in the foot pushing it back without a good reason. Thats why I trust them more. Plus I have delt with them quite often, their dates have been rock solid in the past.

Champ Car fans in Australia, get ready for some Surfer's Paradise action this weekend!

That's about the only good news I have in terms of Australia. But it's pretty foul to have to wait until March 2005. Personally, it stinks how you'll have to wait longer unless you want an import version. Oh course, I mean import in terms of "non-Australian." Being on GTPlanet, I think you Australians are good sports on here. Kind of hurts not to have GT4 on the date of 12/14/2004. But if you're a devoted GT fan, I suggest you get an import version. Fear not, mates.

Time for serious questions:

ZerO, anyone from other hemisphere - please type down some good adresses of webshops (preferably with english lang option) from where the order of Japanese import will be possible.

Thanks in advance.

The slipp into Q1 2005 is now confirmed by Sony.

Baile Atha Cliath!

If I can't have GT4, I might as well have a few Guinness while I'm waiting! :dopey:

Ah, my home town and current place of residence.

There are plenty of good boozers in Dublin but try to stay away from Temple Bar (full of English hen and stag parties.....load of b****x) and all of the trendy looking pubs with bright lights etc (s**t pints and high prices).

Personal recommendations include Messrs Maguires, Gin Palace, Bruxelles, McDaids, Sinnotts, Rody Bolands and Portobello (that should be more than enough for a decent pub crawl).

I think the websites have been confused with GT4 (offline) release date and GT4 online..
as no websites advertise both GT4 Online and Offline :odd:

so I don't think you'll have to worry about anything.. :scared: ..in the mean time pick up V8 SuperCars 2 and race online :)

From a UK SCEE employee today :(

"We do not yet know what the release date for GT4 is, but it should be in the new year.

Best regards"

I hate to quote myself :guilty: but this was from a Sony employee based in the UK

Heh... I don't care about the release date anymore....

Eurogamer is a trustworthy newssite........Damn

Stupid localisation issues. Just give us the English version.

I don't have a TV to plug the PS2 into and probably won't have until halfway through next year so i'm not worried a bit. Will give me time to save up for the DFP too.
