Yeah go Rangers, however, I'm in Fort Worth just west of the ballpark and there is thunderstorm here. Be lucky to get the game in. Texas weather folks.

We beat some Pirate booty tonight. It was a 1-0 shutout. Both Houston and Pittsburgh had four hits each. Astros committed the game's only error. We'll take the win. Astros are not a good road team. I think this win makes us 5-9 this season on the road.

So how has your team(s) started the weekend?

2 HRs and counting for Hamilton. Dude is unreal.

Well, totally started watching tonights game thinking we were headed to our 6th straight loss. I'm still not sure if we picked it up after the day off, or if the Giants just suck at Chase Field....

In any case, we'll take it.

Edit: And how 'bout them rookies?

Braves outlasted the Cardinals(my second fave.) in 12 innings. I'm happy. :p

Wow, just read this today that the Phillies could be sellers and Victorino and Hamels could be dealt.

Big move yesterday... the Phillies sent Scott Posednick to Boston for "cash and other considerations". Wonder how much it cost us to have the Red Sox take his .216 slugging average off our hands?

Josh Hamilton hit his 18th HR in the 4-2 loss to the LA Angels. Tough loss but I'm glad to see Hambone hit another. Go Rangers!

Josh almost got a golden sombrero!

Still hit a home run and is still the leader in all the triple crown catagories.

 For none of the reasons you mentioned... First of all until the last 2 series in AZ last year the Giants have been unstoppable at Chase Field.

Last night was a case of Bochy not putting the best possible lineup.. He keeps sitting Belt against lefties despite the fact he owns lefties. I'm really sick of Bochy and have been for years. He got far to much credit for 2010, because he screwed us over a lot then too.

And our best hitter and the only one who hits worth a damn with RISP right now is out with a broken hamate bone again.. Last year he lost 6 weeks to that and another month before he could really hit. (hit 1 HR in that time span) yet still had 23 at the end of the year.. That's on course for 37ish HRs... Pablo can't catch a break.

Oh and Bochy keeps playing Pagan and putting Pill in LF. Pill is an UT INF not a OF... STOP DOING THIS TO US AND PLAY SCHIERHOLTZ DAMMIT.

Oh and your fields infield still sucks.

Eh, maybe I should have said they suck here "lately".

In any case, not feeling good about tonights game so gloat all you want. :p

Edit: How ya like that first inning eh?

I've been yelling for Blanco to lead off so much.. both he and belt are walk machines... they need to be in there every day.

Rubber game tomorrow as the Astros just went flat. 5-2 win for Pittsburgh. Nine hits for the Astros; seven hits, one error for PIT. I hope this offensive slump doesn't persist for my boys. They really need to get their offense back up and running like in our five-game winning streak.

Who cares if the Reds lose? Brandon Phillips is still a total boss either way.

Hey, we lead the NL in strikeouts this year! Yay for us! #1 in something....

Edit: Damn I love it when I'm right! :banghead:

Best play of the game: The one-handed ball grab made by the guy in the pool area while eating a hot dog and without moving an inch from where he was standing.

Edit: Video!

That was freakin sick. His reaction was priceless. Even better was that everyone recognized him and started chanting his name. What are the chances lol.

Wow, how awesome is that catch?👍

I missed the first inning, but so far all I've seen is him pitching around people.

Hes not pitching around anyone.. he isn't getting anything unless is right over the plate. Kruk doesn't typically say anything negative about a umpires strike zone.. was with him.

Not like it matters right now anyway.... :yuck:

Just happened again.. Sanchez was crossed up, but the pitch was right down broadway.. How the umpire doesn't see that is beyond me. So it made a 1-1 count a 2-0 count and he had to come in.. AGAIN... Another RBI.

Not sure why you are complaining. You're not the one losing.

There was light rain in Pittsburgh as the Astros and Pirates clashed. A bases loaded jam for the Astros in the Bottom of the 9th ends up being an extra inning match. So who won and in how many innings? It took 12 innings as the Pirates won 3-2. The 2012 Astros starting to be like the Texans in terms of not being able to win post-regulation games (though the Texans did win that one game at the Redskins last year or so, but that's another sport).

We're at the other Pennsylvania team for two games starting tomorrow night. Fellow Astros fans, prepare to cringe at the note of former Astros playing for the powerful Phillies. Guys like Hunter Pence should come to mind.

Shout out to Omnis' Miami Marlins, cashing in a sweet Grand Slam to defeat the New York Mets 8-4. It was Mr. Giancarlo Stanton that crushed the Grand Slam to send the Mets home crying to their mommies on this Mother's Day.

Well it was only 4-3... and you guys were threatening so I was frustrated.. Obviously its not a big deal now.

You're frustrated? We've lost 7 of our last 8 games, and we're on cruise control to make it 8 of our last 9. THAT is frustration.

Every team goes through funks... The Giants had multiple 7-8 game loss streaks in 2010 when they won it all..

We have pretty much the same record as you guys, our bullpen is being held together by duct tape and our D has gone from one of the best to one of the worst. We lost our best hitter for a month in a half again only a couple weeks after it happened last year to his other hand.

Our entire team was on the DL last year and starting the same way this year and our ACE can't seem to get his mechanics sort out. We have just as much frustration as you guys.
