We swept the Mariners! We're rollin'. Only one game under .500 now. :)

Melky having a Willie Mays type month of May. Went 4 for 4 today with a HR and 2 stolen bases. What a boss. I can't wait till Pablo comes back, all the sudden things are looking real good offensively.

We finally have a big home stand coming up including a rematch of the 2012 World Series with the Rangers in town... They've yet to ever win a game at AT&T. :sly:

Won our first series today since early April. Paul Goldschmidt with a 471 footer to deep center field got us on the board in the 4th, then we reeled them in and 41 year old Henry Blonco hit the go-ahead and game winning run. 👍

I cared mostly about racing today, so I didn't follow the game. Astros went from winning four(?) straight to losing two straight, as we lost 5-1 at the Dodgers. J.A. Happ lost while Capuano picked up the win. Up next for the Astros is a Memorial Day doubleheader as the first of four games at the Colorado Rockies is coming up. Have to see how the Astros rebound after having a chance to pull to or surpass the .500 mark. Oh, and I just remembered- we've still won only ONCE when the final game of a series is a Rubber Game. After the doubleheader, the Astros will get Tuesday off.

It's that losing feeling again. However, the feeling of losing is nothing like what the Chicago Cubs are going through. They got swept at the Pirates. It was 1-0 on Friday, 3-2 on Saturday, and 10-4 today. Cubs have now lost 12 straight (take THAT, Michael Wilbon... hating on my Astros). One blog article I read from the Yahoo! Sports' site on the Cubs is called "Do-It-Yourself 12-Game Cubs Losing Streak Recap."

One of our games of the Reds at Astros series next weekend will be on FOX's Baseball Night in America along with four other games, including the Yankees at the Tigers among other matches next weekend. As for Rangers at Giants- better have impressive pitching and defense because the Rangers are a bunch of gun-slingers. Be careful against those outlaws from Arlington when they come to beautiful San Francisco.

Why does the media only pay attention to Harper and not Trout?

Why does the media only pay attention to Harper and not Trout?

Because he plays on the East Coast. Though you'd probably hear more about Trout on Fox as they are heavily Angels/Dodgers biased. But not one every pays attention to Fox unless its a nationally broadcasted game.

Giants beating AZ 4-1 in the 6th. Belt with a RBI triple. Giants currently leading baseball in triples, and have 8 hits so far in this game. Giants are currently #5 in all of baseball in hits, just been terrible with BARISP but that is slowly creeping up, and should skyrocket with the return on Sandoval which should happen at some point this home stand. I'm loving the balance our line up is going to have.

How ya like that pinch-hit HR by Mr McDonald.

Love that guy.

Woohoo! Blue Jays got through the first two innings without giving up 6+ runs!

Trout is better than Harper. It'll be interesting to see where they are in 3 years.

Astros at Rockies for the Memorial Day doubleheader.

Hello, offense! Our offense, though, wasn't enough. We lost by a football score of 9-7. Astros got things going with a lead-off triple that led to one run. Afterwards, a solo dinger by the Astros made it 2-0. Colorado had themselves a feast in the first inning by scoring five runs. Astros did all they could to vault ahead, but it wasn't enough. So we failed Game 1 by a score to 9-7. Three Astros errors and 12 hits for us; one Rockies error and 14 hits.

Second game... I'll be G:censored:damned... Astros found a way to fail with an extra base hit by the Rockies. We f:censored:ed up again, now losing four straight after winning four or five straight. Astros lose 7-6 in Game 2 of the doubleheader. We're now playing for a series split at best starting on Wednesday.

How about your team(s) win/fail moments today/tonight?

Mark Trumbo with a walk off bomb!!!

Hey man, all I know is if Ol' Jim has to get pissed over something, then you know it's wrong. Umpires should have an error log, and the ratio needs to be triple zeroes to call in the majors. That or just consult replay. Have an upstairs umpire.

Tennis protests are instantly, accurately evaluated. It doesn't make any sense that tennis can work just fine with technology and baseball still has all these problems.

Jim Leyland is the man. 97 Fish re%.

And he had plenty of time to really fire up. Ejected several batters after the missed call, and the rant came in the locker room after he viewed several replays.
I bet John Farrell and Brett Lawrie gave him standing ovations from Toronto.

Terrible officiating.. Terrible. He doesn't even make contact, and the ball clearly never hit the ground. What I have a problem with is the fact that he took him out of the game when Leyland was just sitting in the dugout, it didn't look like he was yelling at all.

@ R1600, obviously I'm not going to like it.. Though I'm glad Bochy pulled Zito after that as Bochy has lost 2 games very recently by leaving the starting in way to long. Hanging slider right over the plate.

Dan Haren just destroyed the Mariners. He had 14 Ks and ZERO walks. Complete game shutout too. :D

Haren has been one of my favorite pitchers for awhile. I love his stuff - always thought he'd look better in a blue hat. :sly:

That's one way to snap a losing skid. (Chicago Cubs)

Play San Diego.

I love him too. Especially his split. Everyone looks better in red. ;)

Runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out, and we screw it up.

Add that to the inning we had the bases loaded and screwed that too.

'Tis our season.

Edit: ....and now coming back to bite us in the 🤬.

We won 5-1! Mark Trumbo has sooo much power.

Well this is where I stop watching. 🤬 bull:censored: season.

Giants offense has been on fire lately, and our best hitter is still on the DL. Can't wait to get him back, but I hope to god they don't hit Pablo 5th. Please put him in the 4 spot.

Blanco is a beast at lead-off.. Not a lot of guys in the game that have the patience and speed that he does.

We had plenty of chances to win that game. As Mark Grace keeps saying, we are HUGE right now in unproductive outs and that needs to change before we can even hope to get back above .500. I mean, 2nd and 3rd with nobody out and you fail to score? Bull:censored:.

Something tells me the Diamondbacks are going to turn things around. Maybe it happens, maybe it doesn't. Then again, take last year- I hoped the Astros wouldn't fall to last place in the NL Central. But we all know how THAT turned out: not only dead last in the NL Central, but having the worst record in team history and the worst record among ANY MLB team last season. So what I say or believe could or couldn't be true.

Later tonight, the Astros will try to stop failing and start winning as the Astros at Rockies series continues. We're sending Lucas Harrell to the bump while Colorado will counter with Christian Friedrich on the mound. Either we win one in a row... or lose five in a row.

Good luck to all of your teams. And as for the Jim Leyland deal, I applaud the guy for his comments. That pitch looked like either a foul-tip strikeout or a ball that just completely missed the bat and hit the ground. I'd call that a strike. Then again, it would be favorable for review.

Really awesome stuff brought to you by the great people at MLBTR. It does not factor in club options, as those are not guaranteed. Great to see the Giants have more then a $50 million difference in there 2012 payroll and there 2013 guaranteed payroll.

With Rowand ($13.6M), Huff (10M), F.Sanchez (6M), Cabrera (6M), Affeldt (5M), Pagan (4.8M), Theriot (1.2M), Fontenot (1M), Mota (1M)...

And in 2013.. Zito (20M), Lincecum (20M), Wilson (8.5M) with others.. Plus $20M from Stadium Payoff is coming off the books.. Oh, man lots of room for Sabean to work his magic. Cabrera and Pagan are first priority.

If we can figure out how to stop leaving people on base, that would be a great start.

Wow, Seattle have just lit up Texas in the first 3 innings. After a 1-2-3 1st, they sent 13 batters to the plate for 8 runs in each of the 2nd and 3rd innings. So far, 16 runs on 15 hits.
Jesus Montero is 3-3 and a triple short of the cycle, coming up bat in the 4th.

Yeah..... 17-0......? What?
