Hey, at least we didn't choke in the World Series.

Ohhhhhh burrrrrrrn.

No big deal, I saw this coming. SF got shut out twice over the weekend by Texas.

I just hope the rest of the NL West teams have a hard time in their games....

When was the last time you won the NL? 2nd place is better than being owned in the 1st round of the playoffs. I'd rather make it to the world series than be a perennial disappointment. Just sayin.

Don't look in Toronto then .
Bryce Harper, sod off back to the NL and be awesome there.

Neither of those teams are NL West.

- Arizona
- Los Angeles
- San Francisco
- Colorado
- San Diego

:dunce: I missed the key word 'west' in your post. I just saw NL, and Harper is tearing Blue Jays pitching apart

Do you mean when is the last time we made it to the World Series?

One and the same.

To be fair Melky was off with an injury in all three games, and while we just got Pablo back he isn't going to have his bat speed back for another few weeks, so he isn't really Pablo Smashtheball yet.

The only reason they haven't gotten one yet was because of pitching. End of story. Now we have it. This is the year. Not a single team in the league has what we have. Especially not the Giants.

Does everything that you write have to include some sort of gloat? Your posts are obnoxious to read and rarely involve including any sort of information.

You act as if the Rangers are so vastly superior compared to every team in baseball. Quit acting like a Yankees fan.

Harper saw what Trout was doing and decided to punish the Blue Jays for no reason.

Other Eastern match-ups saw:

New York Grand Slamming Atlanta 6-4.
New York flattening Tampa Bay 11-2.
Boston shutting down Miami 2-1.
Baltimore handling Pittsburgh 8-6.
Minnesota demoralizing Philadelphia 11-7.

We've got better pitching. You meant to say "nobody has a better offense than us."

Making it to two World Series in a row and losing both of them isn't really an accomplishment. The Buffalo Bills made it to four Super Bowls in a row and lost all of them and look at what they are remembered for.

Josh Hamilton is #1 in both RBIs and Hits and #2 average in the AL. Matt Harrison is behind only CC Sabathia in Wins. Texas is number 1 in batting and 3 in pitching. Based on statistics Colby Lewis is a top 10 pitcher. 4 different players are in the top 25 in batting and those stats are deceiving because of streaks going on. Rangers are behind only the Yankees in win percentage after the losing streak they recently suffered. There is your stats. This team is frighteningly good.

Two AL championships in a row made this team relevant. It gets money for the club and only makes us better. Learn from your mistakes, work hard for next time. World championship will come with time. Sometimes it isn't an easy road.

There are 8 pitchers with 8 wins and two pitchers have 9! Texas' defense isn't that good either.

Kinsler, Beltre, Andrus, Hamilton, Napoli...yeah they are just garbage at defense...lol are you kidding? Even Gentry, Murphy, and Cruz are all great defenders. Torrealba to name another.

RBI's, Average, and Wins are virtually meaningless stats.

They are tied for 3rd in Wins, but that is a terrible way to judge pitching. They have excellent WHIP and OBP but are 8th in ERA. A lot of the stats are bloated because of the bullpen, which is off to an excellent start. But you have zero guys in the starting rotation with an ERA under 3, and 2 guys over 5.00 era.

Lewis is not a top 10 pitcher in baseball, not even close. He is 29th in ERA, 13th in WHIP, 39th in OBA, tied for 4th most HR's allowed.. I can go on.

Napoli isn't a very good at the catching position in comparison to other AS quality catchers. Torrealba is an average catcher that is past his prime.. I saw plenty of him when he came up with the Giants. The rest of them are excellent defensively. Defense can be so up and down.. the Giants have been worst in baseball after 3 years of being virtually perfect.

Well, we lost thanks to a blown call. Yay.

Statistically Lewis is a top 10 pitcher currently. Napoli may not be the best catcher but he is also a first baseman. He is quite versatile. Agreed with defense being volatile, take Kinsler for example, he is amazing but lately he is an error magnet which makes the whole team look bad.

Also I would hardly say meaningless when referring to RBIs. Hamilton is only lacking In average for the triple crown categories. Without him we would be below .500.

Did you not read my post? I posted statistics that debunked that baseless theory. Unless you want to try and prove me wrong.

A catcher being able to play first base isn't exactly versatile. Most offensive catchers do it. The thing is, he plays way more first then anyone else.

RBI's IS meaningless, as it requires players to be on in front of you. Its not souley based off one players ability.

How does a yankee fan act? clearly you have so much insight because you live in the east coast right? B.s. man everyone with their sterotypes, lets hear it.

Round 1 of Astros at Giants went to San Francisco. No scoring controversy- it was a straight-up 6-3 defeat we suffered. Astros will try to bounce back with tonight's match. From last night's game, all of those blimp shots of San Francisco were amazing with the TV coverage on FOX Sports Houston. San Francisco's one of my favorite cities in America, and those pictures were proof why.

Anyhow, back to business. Come on, Astros!

6 up 6 down for both teams so far tonight. :nervous:

Edit: score still 0-0 after 6 innings. 4 hits for AZ, only 1 hit for TX. Craaaazy game.

Edit 2: Top 8th, still 0-0.

If someone can enlighten my confusion I'd appreciate it. R.A. Dickey pitched a 1 H, 1 R CG 13 K victory today but apparently Eric Byrnes (yes, him) said that the call on the only hit (which could have been an error) may be overturned. Can MLB actually do that?

I think they can overturn it. They almost did when the Tigers pitcher lost a perfect game because a blown call.

Question is, will they? Unlike the Tigers game this will not be a difference of there being a base-runner (which would change the outcome of the game). I would be shocked if they did.

Hmm, my prediction for tonights game: We lose 1-0.

Currently 0-0, bottom 8th, runner at 2nd with 2 outs.

Edit: And they just scored. 👎 Miley isn't going to get this win tonight, and he deserves it. This kid is on fire this year, and if he doesn't represent us at the All Star game then the system is just screwed up.

Miley = 7 2/3 innings, 3 hits, no runs, 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. STELLAR.

Edit: Damn I'm 🤬 good. This was our only chance at a win in Texas. I have no hopes for Hudson tomorrow night. 🤬 this road trip.
