Wow, bases loaded no outs and we dont score a single ****ing run.

What is this? Is today national no-no day and nobody told anyone?

Dickey's near miss, then Dubront, now Cain going for the Perfecto?

Both of the pitchers in our game were hit-less through 6.

Further supports my claim. Imagine if someone had Dickey, Cain, Harrison/Dubront/Miley on their fantasy team? That would win a week most likely on its own (I had 3 of them on one team but not Dickey or Cain, the only two who could end up with actual no-nos.).

I wonder what John is thinking.

Even though Houston has 9 No-hitters in 50 years. San Francisco has 13 total.

Cain you believe it! A perfect game!

Cain is Perfect. Hell of a game.

Shouldn't count since it was against Houston.

Yep, just like Weaver's no no against the Twins and Humber's perfecto against the Mariners. Bunch a BS.

G:censored: damn, m:censored:f:censored:ing shame. I checked into my Yahoo! E-Mail and read of my Astros getting beat 10-0 in a PERFECT GAME! This is bulls:censored:. San Francisco's a great team, but playing like this is against them is unacceptable. Fail of fails. I'm pissed and disappointed. Prosthetic obviously smiling from ear to ear, but this is m:censored:f:censored:ing disgraceful. I hope this s:censored:ty ass performance NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN!!!

:D

I think I'm easing up a bit with losing. At least I'm not a San Diego fan.

How does a yankee fan act? clearly you have so much insight because you live in the east coast right? B.s. man everyone with their sterotypes, lets hear it.

Just some friendly sports fan jabbing...

Shouldn't count since it was against Houston.

Except Houston have a pretty solid offense, its their pitching that hurts them. They are 16/30 in runs scored.

Awesome game for Cain, would like to note that he also had a game against the Pirates earlier this year where he would of had a no hitter if it wasn't for a seeing eye ground ball by the pitcher James McDonald. Cain has taken no-hitters into the 6-7th inning many times now, finally gets it done! Awesome to see everyone coming back now and healthy and Belt is finally getting everyday playing time and showing why he was a top 25 prospect.

Welcome to my world. The Phils have been doing that kind of thing all year.

In fact they did it again, just last night. This time, though, they did manage to win the game, after almost blowing a six-run lead.

If someone can enlighten my confusion I'd appreciate it. R.A. Dickey pitched a 1 H, 1 R CG 13 K victory today but apparently Eric Byrnes (yes, him) said that the call on the only hit (which could have been an error) may be overturned. Can MLB actually do that?

Technically they could, but i dont see MLB doing that. To stubborn for that. Congrats to Matt Cain and the Giants! R.A. Dickey's game was wonderful too,i love watching him pitch.Yanks have been rollin,7 in a row. Mets have been helping the yanks, yanks have been helping the mets. Interleague is great!

And Toronto sees no reason to help anyone other than Washington by rolling over and playing dead.

You can either let being beat in a Perfect Game get to you, or you can get over it and get back to business. We did the latter all the way to a 6-3 victory earlier today. Astros return to the great state of Texas to meet the Texas Rangers over the weekend. I'm expecting the Astros to lose all three games unless we get lucky and win a few. Giants will head up north to meet the Seattle Mariners for the weekend.

I probably won't see the end of the Perfect Game deal Matt Cain put up, as it made the new "Best of the Best" SportsCenter deal. It will probably be that way for many days as part of the "Always Hate Houston" protocol on ESPN. Sigh. Yay. It was an impressive effort by the Giants, but I'm still just disappoined in the Astros to take this exorcism Wednesday night.

Congratulations to the Mets on sweeping the Rays in St. Petersburg. They won 9-6 earlier today.

I wish we got a victory against the Yankees but I can't complain about a sweep. Outscored TB 29-9 and I believe half of those runs came with 2 Outs.

So one of our local broadcast guys (former player, Mark Grace) said, and I quote:

"Jason Kubel's about to homer"

2 seconds later and the 2-0 pitch:

*WHACK*

2-run home run.

Edit: Guess we're using tonights game to make up for the last two. :D

Edit 2: This is the funniest thing that's happened all day: Grace predicting the Kubel HR.

D-Backs were ballin' last night- beating the Rangers 11-3 in Arlington. Now, it's our (Astros) turn to take on the Rangers up north. Yet another classic Houston/Dallas showdown in pro sports. One of our matches will be on FOX's Baseball Night in America. It's Jordan Lyles (HOU) vs. Yu Darvish (TEX) on the mound. I'm expecting the Astros to get swept in this series unless the Rangers just LET us win.

Good luck to all of your team(s) in all of the weekend series!

Actually I could see Houston winning this first game. Darvish is coming back down to earth ever so slightly. Not saying that Houston will win but its not as lopsided as some would think.

I have no confidence in tonights game, so have fun.

(course I didn't last night either...)

Huff got injured in the perfect game celebration by tripping when jumping over the dugout railing. He was sent to the DL and we brought up the speedster journeyman Justin Christian who will DH for us in Seattle. I like what little I saw from him last year, his swing really works with our park. Its amazing how much speed we have on this team this year, our three starting OF's are all CF's.

Also came across this graph showing how good Cain has been this year.

DAYUM

Cain is getting better and better every year. Love it.

Cahill vs Haren tonight. It's Dan's first start against his old team.

Just wrapped up- Rangers beat us 6-2. We had only eight hits, but three errors. Rangers were clean with 11 hits and no errors. Game 2 is national face time for my Astros. Darvish is pretty dangerous for TEX. I almost sort of feel unsure what Darvish would deliver after lifting his leg for a bit before throwing to the plate. He's not Lincecum nasty, but he's a beast. Yeah. I believe in Yu Darvish now.

Can you believe this crap- Colorado beat Detroit 12-4 in 10 innings. Yes- tied 4-4, and Colorado went on a freaking rampage. Good grief! Congrats to the Rockies for rocking Detroit Rock City with their offense. Wow!
