They're both GT40s, but I'm a bigger fan of the Mark I GT40 but it's tougher to get a great handling set up and you really have to work with the car to make it work. Yet when you do it's fast. Just depends on what you're trying to do really.

The Mark IV is a better car, but is no where as sexy looking as the gt40. Form over function for me on this one.

GT40 all the way!

I think the gt40 has the best engine sound in the game by far, and I agree that it is sexy as hell

Also agree the GT40 looks/sounds better, but the Mark IV is a better car. Plus, it's premium. ;)

I prefer the look & sound of the GT40. Performance-wise, it only has a few less horsepower, but the suspension isn't quite as tight as the Mark IV. It still handles very nicely if tuned correctly. Just wish they'd have made it premium.

Probably the MK IV is better in its vehicular performance as long as the GT40 can handle like a rough at each section of turnings... although the appearance is better in the machine for me in my opinion. :D

The Mk IV when tuned is so sweet to drive, i've got 2200+miles on mine and its a beast under brakes, very good on tyres. The GT40 is brutally quick and tricky to handle, but still an amazing looking car.

The GT MKIV is better looking, sounds better, handles better and is faster. 👍

/Biased Opinion. :sly:

But in all seriousness I think the MKIV is better looking. :)

Mark 1 if we had Seattle... Mark IV for everything else.

The Mark 1 @ Seattle has been a favorite combo of mine for years. Hopefully we'll get the track back soon.

Getting Seattle Circuit back would be awesome cause it'd be like racing near my house. What I'd really like is a city course that goes through Bellevue. That'd be so cool.

I like the look of the Gulf GT40 - but I like Dan Gurney as a driver - and he won in the plain Mk 4.

The Mark 4 invented spraying chapagne... but it isn't pretty.
The GT40 just enjoyed winning, and the 1969 car was how old when it took up the gauntlet to win again when the altered the regulations?

Number 6 for the win.

i love the old school pastel-ish gulf colours of the gt40, also prefer the shape slightly more but those colours are iconic

You know it has been a while since I've driven the GT40, but from what I remember, the Mark IV is a much better handling car. I would assume it's also faster. the mark IV is very fast, it can beat the 330 p4, despite being hopelessly outgunned on paper, it can still beat it.

The GT40 may or may not look better, it is the start of the more modern Ford GT's we know (which definitely look better), but it's tough to tell with it being standard. Plus the Mark IV does look good, it's very simple but pretty. Sound, i don't know, like I said, been a while since I drove the gt40

How about a course that runs the Seattle Circuit, then cuts across the I-90 bridge and returns on the 520?!!!!! I'd pay for that one! :)

I prefer the MK IV as well. One of the best 3D models in the game, schweet engine sound, and a real joy to drive. I love cruising the ring with it and also running it in historic races on Laguna Seca. 👍
