Mechanical damage in the career?

Having mechanical damage extended to the career would be a great improvement for the game

Probably because the AI is so bad that it would be an unbearable experience. If the AI was drastically improved, then this idea would work.

I can see that to some extent, but it would add more strategy to the game..... As in, if the suspension or engine failed, and you had to pay to replace them.... No pay, however, no strategy.
