Mercedes-AMG GT concept, a four door sports car to shown at Geneva
Well, at least it should look better than the upside-down-banana first-gen CLS...
GT Sedan concept is an 800hp hybrid.
Mercedes-AMG GT four-door concept spied days after Geneva debut
If they call this GT 4, that's going to be a bit of an awkward naming situation against their supposed upcoming GT4 race car.
Porsche probably won't allow Mercedes to use "GT 4", not after what happened with Aston Martin using GT3 on a road car (for what is now the Vantage GT12).
I don't know how Porsche can claim it, since Lotus used it first on the Esprit?
4-door AMG GT spied.
Looks more like a CLS AMG to me...
It's not though... but I thought the same thing when I first saw the images.
Most of the car magazines are calling it a CLS - I'm pretty sure that's because it is one. Whatever it is it definitely isn't an SLS.
It seems to be the AMG GT version of this:
Mercedes-AMG GT 2-door:
Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door:
No way that's based on the same platform.
Wonder how the Black Series is coming; all the spy shots have been of the 4-door lately.
4-Door AMG GT4 leaked before Geneva:
Basically, it's an extra-sporty CLS. Supposedly it could even make over 800 horsepower in it's top spec.
"Mercedes-AMG GT4" is already a thing...
I know... Couldn't Mercedes just find a better name?
From that angle, it looks worse than the 928 4-door.
It looks like it wants to cry.
This car looks bloated
So it's a CLS with a truncated trunk?
This is the discussion thread for a recent post on GTPlanet:

I hate to encourage Mercedes bizarre naming conventions, but as this is based off the E/CLS chassis (as @Eunos_Cosmo accurately predicted), I figured a dedicated thread made more sense for the sedan.
On a more personal note, as a big fan of the coupe, I just don't want to sully its good name.
(But really, I actually do like this more than the frumpy CLS, and think it's a worthy Panamera competitor. Better? Dunno. But worthy nonetheless.)
The AMG GT S/GT R is a gorgeous car and probably my favorite modern car. This is just an abomination.
**** it, I don't care.. hyperbolic reaction is GTP mainstay these days.
It's hideous. It's bloated and the extended roofline does not work for it at all.
I want to know who were the high profile customers, that kept saying, "Me and my millionaire friends, would buy AMG GTs. If only it had 4 doors.".
I know it's fast but good lord that thing is hideous.
