If you want more variations in biomes without having to trek for 3 days to get new ones, yes :p

I haven't been able to get on yet either, getting "Connection Refused", is something wrong with it? Reboots don't normally take this long.

As for Flying, I don't mind it, but I think it'd be more fun for the time being (atleast on this temporary world), if we didn't use it and instead experienced the update as it was meant to be, no spawning items, flying around or being invincible (exploding creepers would be nice too :p).

I'm going to be playing naturally and would appreciate it if anyone who is living in the NPC town to try the same :)

The trouble with exploding creepers is they will explode in the old world too.

We should make a temporary rule:

Anyone living in the NPC village is required to get and earn everything by themselves. Everything is to be done manually and people can work together.

How's that?

Yeah, if there's an option with the mutlverse to prevent that then I'm all for creepers exploding, but honestly I wouldn't care about them exploding in the old world either! :p

Server still down, 4:47EST

If I'm running it on my 2004 Laptop then of course, it could be other things to blame.

But when I installed the game on my Dad's 2011 £650 Gaming Computer, I still had the problem.

As long as I can mine with golden tools :P
Oh and using mycraft. I prefer to place as few blocks as possible to move around with all the lag.

Basically, the idea of making things in a pure, town-friendly manner is more appealing than floating around, irritating those who use fog and in my case, crashing my computer.

I got a Read timed out, got disconnected I think. Are all you guys based in the USA? I'm in the UK, don't know how much difference it makes, just thought I'd mention it :P

I just want to say, I think we should use a flat area near the spawn (like thorncombe), with that being the only influnce on the new world. My point is that Rapture all got very messy with several people building things here and there.

I am of the mind that multiworld isn't working, we're having fun in the new one though so should that be the only one until 1.9 and a better server comes around?

Were now going to use NPC villages and expand them.

An incompatible mod is probably to blame for these server problems. Or the coding from the minecraft team.

'Round the bend
Go to Applications, Utilities, Java Preferences.

Tell me what Java you are running, cause it could be having some conflict errors.

HAVE YOU TRIED TO INSTALL MODS TO YOUR MINECRAFT?

Installing any Mods at the moment cause it to crash.

Delete your Minecraft folder:

Go to Admin > Library > Application Support > minecraft > Saves and drag that folder on to your desktop, that will mean you keep your saves.

Then go to Admin > Library > Application Support > minecraft and delete the folder. Restart minecraft so it updates everything, then drag the saves folder back in to the Minecraft folder.

Try to start up again.

Running java 1.4.2 (couldn't update anymore) and I have deleted minecraft and haven't reinstalled it yet.

Yeah, I have been getting loads more errors and server can't keep up messages since upgrading to 1.8, even before the creation of the new world. I'll hopefully be upgrading the server in the near future.

The lag has become unbearable..

I think this is more to do with bandwidth than the server. There have been lots more people online since the update!! This is also something I'm looking to upgrade.

Oh well, good thing I blew the 🤬 out of Thornecombe yesterday.

Today, a new leaf.
