Just been working with ryanb98 on both of our houses! Added an extra floor to my 'tower' and helped Ryan make his house a little more spacious and I made him some stairs (since he didn't have much cobblestone (I think)). :)

Really enjoying the server so far!

Put a button instead of a switch will sort that.



If you bail out before the minecart hits the water it's survivable.

Hm... Yeah I could of used a button and that is also true(I made sure the water was deep enough).
 
Trying to make a waterfall flow down to my waterwheel while being attacked by skeleton archers = AAARRGGGH!

Annoying sods, I know I'm definitely going to die if I tried to get down to fight it so I've logged off :(

If everyone on the server sleeps at the same time, it goes back to day. If you have a bed somewhere, just tell me and I'll go to mine when it's nighttime
 
Mine isn't secure, I'd just end up getting woken up by mobs all night :(
 
Remember you can also /sethome so if you die, you can quickly warp back by typing /home

:)
 
You respawn at spawn, but if you type /home, you'll be teleported to wherever you lat typed /sethome.
 
So, uhh, I need you to install a mod that allows me to break bedrock...no particular reason, other than the fact I accidentally boxed myself in my new vault 💡
 
Did you /sethome? That would help you.

I've been playing around in the arena. I'm usually able to hit level 10 or 11. Then I run out of arrows. If I'm lucky, I'll be a tank and get a special with zombie pigmen. Right now, I'm comfortably sitting in diamond armor with diamond equipment. And seventeen trillion minecarts.
 
Okay, I've now built a mushroom farm in the Nether, has the capacity to grow a lot of shrooms. Furthermore, I am planning to construct some buildings in the new town thing.
 
something's not right with the mobarena, it says you're winning loads of things yet 'all' you seem to get given is 5 diamond and a powered mine cart :lol:
 
Yeah the prizes are a bit borked for some reason. I might recreate the configuration file.
 
Put all of your stuff away(we got chests in front of the place for that) and the enter it by typing /mobarena join. There are instructions once you get into the lobby.

Just been doing the mob arena with tlowr4 (I think) and had some great fun. Also got enough diamond to craft a diamond axe, pick, sword, and shovel :) Also, would it be possible to get other rewards other than diamond and storage carts?

Tried to set my spawn, says I don't have access to that command...

Also, I now can't move. I'm trying to build some stairs and whenever I place a Cobblestone block on the 'back' of a set of steps, my character appears sitting down and is stuck down to the steps with an arrow. What the f?

EDIT 2: It appears I now can't remove the stairs either. The arrow keeps moving up and down and whenever I try to build or remove anything from them, the arrow pins my character down or it removes the blocks and gives them back to me. So it appears that my house is ruined. 👎 Can any mod fix it maybe?

the spawn is set by admin , try /sethome instead , and to go home just simply type /home :)
 
Ah, that would be the problem then :lol: Not that it matters since I'm almost permanently stuck now. :/

haha i think the arena is too big , if you stand in the middle of the arena mobs wont attack u until around wave 30 :)

ps. those are the mobs on one side :)
 
I don't think we will be downsizing it anytime soon really. I made one mistake on how it lines up and to fix it we had to mine it by hand(that took something like 4 hours to do with help).

You would have to move the mob spawns closer to the middle if you want them to attack you earlier on. I already noticed this problem before. It's just basically a way to cheat(get more diamonds pretty much) till Dunc changes the spawn points.

Moglet and I were discussing the possibility of revamping the spawn to be a little more inviting and more useful. I was kind of thinking we needed a big community project, but we realized that there were lots of projects, just no information about them anywhere.

I was wondering if we could have some moderator help designing and constructing a better spawn location, perhaps with a big bulletin and news area to list all ongoing community projects and such, Just to keep things organized.

Any mods want to help? Any other volunteers to help with construction? And of course any input from DQuan himself would be helpful.

Some community projects would be nice. I think we should turn the area near the station and arena into the 'main' part of the map, as thats where new people will be most likely to stay for a while (especially with all the mobs. I would also suggest directions to the pyramid hotel and leaving a free room by the entrance for new people to spend their first night.

And I would be happy to help with construction.
