I think the rocketbooks are limited in use to Dunc and mods. Though Dunc, it is possible to get viruses to your computer if you have a port open. I've gotten ones that were made for java when I ran a scan once.

EDIT: I tried pinging the server and I got a pretty long reply time. From 131ns to 157ns long from each ping. I think that explains for the long response time for opening chests and loading chunks.

I didn't realise my router was responding to ICMP requests!! I might have to look at that.

Good old MS Paint. Open paint, zoom in to 6x or 8x and press Ctrl-g to turn on the grid.

You know the new palace that you guys finished building recently? Well, it seems to be infested with spiders...:sick:

EDIT: I need a lot of glass. Be willing to pay or trade for some.

Paint has a Mac version available. Just Google 'Paint for Mac'. That's what I use. GIMP and Pencil fail in my opinion, so I just go back to ol' Paint.

Also I'm back to using Faithful 32x32 pack. I don't like Misa's HD anymore. :(

EDIT (7:28pm): I still can't connect. I keep getting "Connecting to server" for a few mins and then it times out.

EDIT 2 (8:19pm) Same.

EDIT 3 (9:34pm) Same :(

I might put some glowstone in. It's too big to be lit by torches.

Seems ok at the moment. Nick and Dust were on earlier.
 
I just had a look round, I think the map is fantastic, I would love to get involved. I'm sure it will take ages to explore all the creations, is there a map at all?
 
The IP for the server is on page 12 of this thread. Take a look around and Dunc (DQuaN) will add you to the players list. Until he does though you'll only be able to look around.

There's an ingame map of the area around spawn available at the station (take the path out of spawn to the big building with glowstone lighting). That is, if someone hasn't filled the dispensers with arrows again :dunce:


 
Since this thread is not technically just for the server, I thought I would point out this mod, for anyone looking to really expand their single player Minecraft experience:



I wonder if mods like these work on multiplayer servers... :trouble:

This site is so epic, I am gonna get Minecraft from this place... all you have to do is complete a bunch of surveys or just REGISTER WITH VALID INFORMATION! It's so damn easy to get at least a point in just an hour... 1 point = 1 buck... so 20 points = free minecraft gift code :O

For Australians.. Yes, you all ridiculed me but I can actually give a decent host, and looks like i'm the only one at the moment: You will need Log Me In Hamachi:

Once downloaded, turn it on, go to network and type JOIN NETWORK type in sweetsminecraft for network ID and 123 for password, then once you're in, it should give you an IP address, if not, let me know and I will give you it. Join the server (No port numbers needed) and you'll be underway in my little minecraft community.

EARLIER NOTE: Please whitelist me on your server DQuan (Lachieaj)

NOTE: I have it set to hold 10 at a time, right now I have 3 active players (including myself). Let me know and I will give you OP and once I learn a bit more, I will enable White Listing. (Whatever that does).

FURTHER NOTE: It will give you lagg for 2-3 minutes while your internet feeds off mine to load the server. Once that's done, you should be able to do everything as usual. We can discuss houses, hotels, spawn areas and all that stuff inside and outside the server.

Plugins and Mod's are the only thing my mate and I don't know how to do. If you could give me some advice on how to install them onto the online server, it would be much appreciated :). We're currently working on it now, if you'd like to come on, feel free, but you may lagg a fair bit, considering what I lagged on when I was on yours :P.

AND SETTING A DEFINITE SPAWN SPOT.

Download Hamachi and jump on my server for a bit if you're bored. :P Could always use some help for thinking what to build next.'

Just incase you think you'll lagg, I give NZ and AUS wide people 60-70 Ping which isnt THAT bad compared to what I get from DQuan in the UK.

Can't at the mo cos I'm at work. I run a CraftBukkit server. It has a couple of bugs but is quite easy to customise and has LOADS of mods.
