Well, the Astros and Rangers couldn't handle their business in nine innings, so we needed extra innings. The biggest play in extras was our George Springer robbing the Rangers of a Walk-Off Grand Slam in the Bottom of the 10th. He would then make the winning catch in deep right field to secure the win for the Astros. In the end, we won 6-4 in 14 innings. We'll take it! So the Astros take two out of three in Arlington to go to 3-3 on the season so far. Winning pitcher for Houston was Will Harris along with a Save from Deduno. Logan Verrett was the losing Texas pitcher.

* So far so good for AnthonyD1993's Detroit Tigers- 6-0 on the season even after taking down the Cleveland Indians 8-5 in Cleveland. Tigers breathing fire so far this season.

* Miami is stuck on one win on the season as they failed 8-5 to the other Florida team, the Tampa Bay Rays.

* Former Astro Dexter Fowler asserted himself in Denver as he helped his Cubs win 6-5 over the Colorado Rockies with a game-winning home run. I saw the blast live on MLB Tonight on the MLB Network. I swore that ball was probably heading for Wyoming. Neil Ramirez picked up the win along with a Save from Rondon. Another former Astro took the loss- LaTroy Hawkins.

* In Baltimore by a football score of 10-7, Toronto took down the Orioles yet again. The Blue Jays saw Loup win along with a Save from Miguel Castro. The O's loser was Chris Tillman.

* R1600Turbo's Diamondbacks couldn't suppress the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers today, losing 7-4. Both teams are now 3-3 on the season. Winning for LAD was Z. Greinke and a Save from Peralta. Josh Collmenter was the losing pitcher for the D-Backs.

Congratulations to all other winners.

THIS JUST IN...

The Pittsburgh Pirates handed the Detroit Tigers their first loss of the season with a 5-4 victory. The game was in Pittsburgh. Gerrit Cole picked up the win for PIT while Anibal Sanchez lost for Detroit.

The New York Mets won 2-0 hosting the other Pennsylvania team, the Philadelphia Phillies. It was Jacob DeGrom who won for NYM along with a save from Familia. Aaron Harang was the PHI losing pitcher.

My Houston Astros will go to work later tonight hosting the Oakland Athletics. Congratulations to all other winners up to and beyond this post.

Eh, Detroit's first loss was going to be sooner or later regardless.

Uh oh... I found out that Mat Latos is supposed to go tonight for the Miami Marlins at the Atlanta Braves. Latos had an epic clunker of a performance his last time out, getting gashed for seven runs in the first inning alone. If he has another clunker, I wonder if the Marlins will put Latos in the bullpen or send him down to the Minor League. The MIA at ATL game is currently reportedly delayed because of rain.

Latos being sent down? That's going to cripple the Marlins because Alvarez is gone for at least 2 weeks.

deGrom pitched well in front of Harvey tomorrow.

Chapman may be the best closer in the baseball, but the rest of the Reds bullpen has to be the worst. We've already blown a couple of leads in the 8th (again tonight). I can't watch. Hopefully we still pull out a win.

Edit: Well done, Manny Parra. Walk 2 and allow a single without recording an out in the 10th. Badenhop at least got an out before inevitably allowing the game winning single. Reds lose 7-6.

The Houston Astros are used to being the Oakland Athletics' b:censored:es. And once again, we can't figure out the green and gold. We still can't string together wins. Our latest fail was an 8-1 loss to Oakland. Only thing beautiful about this game here in Houston was the sunset. Other than that, only one run was managed by the Astros tonight. Scott Kazmir was the OAK winner, and Scott Feldman was the HOU loser. Back at it tomorrow- OAK at HOU.

* Cubs put down the Reds 7-6 in Chicago. So since misery loves company, Dolph Drago's boys are feeling the same losing woes as my Astros.

* Kansas City remains unbeaten as they put an evisceration on the Minnesota Twins in Minneapolis. The whacking was a 12-3 victory for KC as they improve to 7-0.

* There were some happy folks in Boston as the Red Sox spanked the Washington Nationals 9-4. Well, happy folks as long as you weren't a Nationals fan.

Congratulations again to all other winners.

Matt Harvey did not have the favor of the HP Umpire today. Only got through 6 IP but had 8 Ks (17 on the year). Mets hang on to win 6-5 over Philadelphia.

The Reds stopped their 3 game losing skid, and a starting pitcher finally got a win tonight against the Cubs. Anthony Desclafani pitched 7 shutout innings before turning the ball over to the bullpen with a 3-0 lead. As is the case with every frickin' game this year so far, it immediately became a 1 run game after a leadoff walk (to a 1 for 19 on the season batter) and a first pitch homer by the next batter (a pinch hitter). Two more Cubbies got on base before they were thankfully put away. Chapman allowed a hit to start off the 9th, but finished the game out with a couple of K's.

Good lord, will we ever have a non-stressful game thanks to this most lousy bullpen?

Astros fail again- falling 4-0 to the Oakland Athletics. Sad Tuesday night here in Houston as the Astros can't seem to figure out how to beat the A's. Same old song and dance from last season. *sigh*

Congratulations to everyone who didn't fail on Tuesday. Too bad the Astros are not one of those on this day/night.

The A's are to the Astros what the Cardinals are to the Reds. No matter what they do, they just can't beat them. I know your feels.

Yesterday, the Tigers beat the Pirates 2-0. Shane Greene had a very good outing for the Tigers.

The biggest news from last night's games was that Cleveland Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco was hit in the head by a line drive. He was diagnosed with a jaw contusion and so far, he isn't showing signs of a concussion. He also somehow lucked out and does not have any fractured bones. He had signed a 4 year, $22 million deal in the off season.

Tigers beat the Pirates 1-0 today. Simon got the win, and Soria picked up the save.

The Astros won 6-1 against Oakland, preventing an OAK sweep from happening. So we finally figured out how to beat the A's, at least on this night. The Astros started the damage with a two-run jack by Jed Lowrie. The only Oakland Athletics' score was on an RBI single by Marcus Semien. Collin McHugh was the winner for Houston. He's 2-0 so far this season. Drew Pomeranz took the loss for Oakland to fall to 1-1.

Congratulations to all other winners on Wednesday, including one of the toughest things to do in baseball- winning 1-0 as the road team, such as the Detroit Tigers did at Pittsburgh.

Stanton now has the most home runs in Marlins history.

New York makes it 5 in a row, winning 7-5 vs. Miami to move to 7-3.

Both my teams won today. The Tigers won again, a 2-1 pitchers duel over the White Sox, and the Braves got back in the win column beating the Blue Jays 8-7.

Does anyone have thoughts on Baltimore SP Ubaldo Jimenez getting ejected? I saw the play, but I'm still trying to figure it out. Apparently, the Home Plate Umpire thought that he intentionally plunked Pablo Sandoval after Sandoval took out the second basemen in the prior inning.

Cubs 3B Kris Bryant made his MLB debut today and went 0-4 but starred for his defense. The Cubs lost the the Padres 5-4.

Throwing behind a batter will always get a pitcher ejected.

Anyone think it's suspicious that Alex Rodriguez is having a strong performance considering he just came off of the longest PED suspension in baseball history and prior to that suspension, he was playing pretty poorly...

It's a week. Mets take care of Miami 5-4 as they extend their 7 game winning streak and move to 9-3 on the year.

We took down the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Saturday night 4-0 here in Houston. It was C.J. Wilson (LAA, and whom I vastly respect as a car guy) vs. Dallas Keuchel (HOU). I didn't get to follow the Friday game because of power outage and Internet outage after a brutal storm system came into the Houston/Galveston area.

By the way, that Oakland at Kansas City game got to be pretty brutal. Oakland won (I believe), but I could only imagine if this season's AL Championship Series came down to Oakland and Kansas City. That would be an intense series if it were to materialize.

Congrats to all other Saturday winners.

A Home Plate umpire has the digression of throwing out a pitcher without a warning if he thinks that the pitch in question is a retaliatory strike.

Take this for example:

Apparently today, the MLB Free Game of the Day was the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at the Houston Astros. Those who got to see this game for free got to see the Houston Astros Baseball Club win 4-3 here in Houston on the best-looking day here in Houston than almost any day last week. It was a win for Scott Feldman (1-2 now) and a Save for Luke Gregerson (his 2nd) on the Houston side. For the losing Angels, Garrett Richards was the loser.

By the way, I found out the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim beat the Astros 6-3 this past Friday. So this is a series win for us rather than a sweep. I didn't know who won because the power and the Internet went out for me here in Houston because of bad weather. This is the Astros' sixth win of the season.

Up next for the Astros... late games! West Coast road trip in three cities! Here's the schedule... the Houston Astros will be in Seattle starting tomorrow night for a three-game tilt at the Mariners, then a [likely losing sweep or series loss] three-game set at the Oakland Athletics starting this coming Friday, and wrapping up with a little National League reunion at the San Diego Padres next Monday.

Congratulations to all other winners from Sunday's games. Better luck next time to all losing teams.

New York Mets hang on to win 7-6 over Miami. They go 7-0 on the homestand to move to 10-3 on the year.

The Tigers avenged being blown out the White Sox by blowing out them out today. Today, they won 9-1 after losing to them 12-3 yesterday.

I'm going to miss the Brewers after the Buccos swept them this weekend and took 2 of 3 last weekend. The opposite result from last year when we lost 6 of 7 to Milwaukee in April and it took until June to make it up.A tip of the hat to Arquimedes Caminero who defended his teammate after the Brewers threw at Cutch again by giving steroid boy High T Braun a 97 mph knee capping.

Next up the Cubbies and dont think for a second that anybody on the Bucs has forgotten Miguel Montero former d-bag now Cub was the guy that setup Cutch with away pitches and then called the pitch that drilled him on the back breaking his rib.

I love division rival hate.:D

Reds swept by Cards. No surprise there. As the finale was a primetime game tonight, it was going to be an automatic loss. A very good pitching effort by Leake was wasted, as he went 8 innings and only gave up 2 runs. We scored one off of Wainwright, but that was it, as we fell 2-1. I don't even know what our record is of this moment. That 4-0 start (which I was still skeptical about) seems forever ago. We've had a whopping 1 win since then.

According to looking around on Yahoo! Sports' MLB content, the Cincinnati Reds are 5-7. Up next, you guys have a four-game set at the free-falling Milwaukee Brewers starting tomorrow. You think the Reds are in trouble? Look at the mess Milwaukee's in so far- a 2-10 record. So unless the Brewers somehow get energized at home, you Reds have a chance to tack on a few more wins to your record.
