Who actually belived MW would actually finish the race :rolleyes: Pity about MS, but i hope they move on and see what happens at the next few races. Alonso needs to have a few DNF's for the rest to catch up though :p

I have to say my 10 cents......

I have hated Schumacher ever since I started propely watching F1 in 1997..... He is always pulling tricks and running drivers off the road. He should have been banned from the race as the ITV commentators said, he clearly did that little stunt, very badly (he should have rammed it into the wall if he wanted to look real)..... but that is just sad, you have so many world titles why dont you just retire and get out of f1 because for all those years winning you made it very boring, loads of people including me stopped watching it for 3 years because it was darn right repetitve... and when there was a chance for someone else he would just run them off the road. Hill (1994), Villeneuve (1997) etc etc....I can see why Barrichello wanted to move teams, Ferrari just worshiped Schumacher and didnt care less about anything else. I dont get how anyone can be a fan of such an arrogrant scheming driver. If your going to win a race drive well and push hard. Dont park your car on a corner and piss everyone else off.

Thank god finally other people are winning, new teams are doing well and nearly every race theres different people in the top 5.....Its really been a great season and Monaco was the best by far, plenty of action.

I really fell sorry for webber and kimi, sooo close but bad luck I suppose, DC making a come back nice to see that. Love the general atmosphere, the glitz and glamour! Suprised there was no carnage.....

Here we come silverstone....
 
Well he's been in F1 since 1993, in all those races, he has done something silly like that only 3 times (from memory) including today. That's around 1% of his races perhaps?

During his dominent years, it was partly due to the car being supremely better than it's nearest 'rivals'. But you have to remember 2003 Kimi Raikkonen was very close to beating him. (went to the last race) He also though has the ability to drive the socks off anything, yes what he done yesterday wasn't needed but his pace in the race today was incredibly good, also setting the fastest lap.

Don't let 3 moments where his brain dissapeared ruin what he has accomplished, he has won 7 world titles after all...

And no, I'm no Schumi fan either, I just have respect for him.

Sooner or later, I bet your gonna say the same about Fernando, blah blah blah he's boring, winning everything. That's because the man is good.

There's my 10 cents. :D
 
Mark Webber was doing so great but I was wondering when his car would let go. I just don't expect him to finish anymore.

Great drive for MS.

To basically sum up, I think his methods for winning are sometimes unfair and borderline discraceful.

It was a fantastic race today! Sad to see Kimi go out, but heading to his boat. :lol:

The people are still very much live (8:34PM), and I doubt it'll end anytime soon.

Schumacher made a terrible mistake of purposely bringing out the yellow, but he still impressed me with his driving today by coming from last to 5th. He really pulled for 4th on those last corners too.

The pass by the Red Bull car (by Renault?) on the chicane was absolute luck.

All in all, a terrific race, and brought me back many memorys. Sadly, I'll have to leave tomorrow morning to get back to the US.:indiff:

What was up with that stupid red cape on DC? Embarrassing. Even Alonso and Flavio couldn't stop laughing at him. I bet he felt like a tool.

Good race, at least. Yes, better than the last two races. But, let's hope the next race is more exciting, huh?

Well at least they could talk about the whole field, not just the the 1st two spots like at Imola.

I don't know why Fisichella wasn't able to finish in front of Schumacher. Maybe MS just got lucky with the pit cycle.

The race up front wasn't bad either, until those two blew up. I wanted to see Webber on the podium.

Schumi really didn't needed to try and pull some trick. It was unfair of him and he will surely learn effects from this, either from the other drivers and members at the GPDA or the racing fans. Still, it was nice to see him race honestly for once.

As for Fisichella passing Coulthard, I don't know either of which is of more luck; actually making the pass or David keeping his wing intact from the brush with Fisico's real tyre. :scared:

That marshal looked **** scared that a car would come round the corner and hit him, very brave to put the fire out while moving the car across the track... I found it more funny seeing kimi walking round the track back to his yacht.......
 
One more tip for James Allen, Queanbeyan, Mark Webber's place of birth, is in ACT, NOT Queensland... I don't expect most to know that let alone James Allen but if you're going to try and make yourself sound smarter than you actually are, get it right jackass.
 
^^^^^^^^^^^ that would have caused quite a few crashes near the swimming pool if the race was still in session :scared:

I'll say this: without Derek Daly, Ralph Sheheen seemed MUCH more palatable. And Danny Sullivan has a much more cynical sense of humor, just like me :)

I don't think it's really jealousy of the man himself. People just don't like seeing the same guy win every race. In addition, F1 fans are so polarized (due to the lack of real competition), they end up with irrational dislikes for certain drivers, simply because they win "too much." It happened with MS, it is happening with FA, and it will happen to Kimi, especially once he joins Ferrari (you know that's where he is going to end up). I like seeing Fernando win; he's been my favorite since he joined Renault in 2002. Even so, this season is a bit dull, with only two people really capable of winning. In fact, there really seems to be a declining level of talent in F1. Many of the drivers are past their prime, and just cashing checks until they're forced out of the sport.
 
That was a good race. Great driving by Alonso, Räikkönen, Webber, Coulthard, Barrichello, Albers, even Michael Schumacher. On the other hand, it was pretty horrible driving by Button – he should do better than that. Especially considering he thought his chances were good this weekend.

I don’t think it’s hate, as such. Personally, I just want to see an exciting championship battle, and competitive racing. For most people, that means cheering for the underdog, because it keeps things more “interesting.”

Well, neither Mark nor Kimi had an engine failure… :rolleyes: Anyway, it was disappointing – it would have been great to see those three fighting for it until the very last corner. But, alas….

Shame on the backmarkers who decided to be picky and let Alonso and Kimi through but not Webber. They should incur a time penalty. If you're going to let someone through, LET ALL OF THE GROUP THROUGH, DON'T PICK WHO YOU WANT TO LET THROUGH THEN HOLD SOMEONE UP.

Think whatever you like about MS, but he pretty much shut up all those people who say he should retire. He obviously still loves the sport too much to leave it. Trying to get away with cheating, and the 17 car charge from behind... Hate him or love him, why would you want a guy like that to leave F1? He makes the sport so much more interesting. And besides anyone who can piss off a team manager, like Schumi did to Flavio, is alright in my book :lol:

CBS and Speed really need to work out a deal to let the Speed crew do the CBS coverage. Those two guys are absolutely horrid. They haven't got a clue.

What Schmui did was stupid and pointless, and he got what he deserved. Not suprised he got 4th, Massa should really have been with him.

Jerez 97 and Adelaide 94 aren't the only times Michael has run people off the road. There's also Australia 98, when he drove Frentzen off the road, Argentina 98, when he hit Coulthard, and China 04, when he broke Klien's suspension.

Plus the other dodgy tactics, like parking on the exit of the 1st corner in Austria in 2000 when he was obviously out of the race. That's just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. He's very fast and smart, no doubt about that, but he does deserve the critisism he creates.

As for the rest of the race, it wasn't bad. Shame for Webber, I really thought he might just have a chance at the win. Good work from Coulthard. Good to see Alonso win again. Why? Because, like Hakkinen, he isn't Schumacher.

I was tempted to find a radio feed somewhere and turn down the TV, like I do when ESPN botches Atlanta Braves games all to hell.
