Hi! I still think that it was purely a racing incident! It is really upsetting that everyone (almost everyone) is calling him a cheat! What do you think?

How about Adelaide '94 and Jerez '97?

I think Raikkonen has a good chance tonite if he can get passed Webber early on, Raikkonen was fast all through quallifying, he'd probably be ahead of Webber had he got a clean traffic free lap in and may well have been good enough to get pole, McLaren typically run heavier in Qualifying than most other teams so I wouldnt give the win to Alonso just yet.

Now Alonso is just going to drive off and win it, without any competition.
What – the race, or the championship?

This could, potentially, nail it for Alonso. 👎

Why?? - What do you mean exactly??

I want to see him cry like he did after he was found guilty on the villeneuve incident.

I've never been a schumi fan, but I'm now a Schumi hater.
I've never been a shumi fan either (I'm not a fan of anybody).

I said it many times before; he doesn't deserve at least 3 of his 7 titles!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not sure that he did it on purpose but I know he's capable of pulling a stupid stunt like that, he did it in the past many times and got away with it but not this time. I know he's a bad looser. (Don't know if this expression is correct, I mean that he can't stand loosing).
Booohooo for Shumacher, if he did it on purpose. If not, this is bad for the championship.

Predictions for the race anyone?

For me I think it'll be
1Alonso
2Raikkonen
3Webber

Thats assumeing no one has any reliability issues.

1. Räikkönen
2. Alonso
3. Montoya
4. Webber
5. Fisichella
6. Coulthard
7. Schumi
8. Villeneuve

Shumacher is now starting last (22nd) . ferrari have decided not to appeal. on ITV (uk tv channel), they interviwed MS's manager. MS's manager said he was pissed off and that micheal hadn't realized whats really happened yet.

👍 Good!

Despite what you claim, this will be a great race. There's no guarantee Alonso will win it. Webber was fantastic. Kimi was fantastic. It's still going to be one hell of a race. If it's not the race you thought, or hoped, then go blame MS some more. He cheated you out of a race, then. But, I don't see why. The race will be excellent without him up front.

They can't appeal. The stewards decision is final. No chance to appeal it.

Bah!!! Hey!!! You're supposed to warn us about SPOILERS!

OK, since I don't want anymore of the race spoiled, I'm out of here until the race is aired here in four more hours. So, until six or so hours from now, have fun, enjoy the race!

I'm leaving this thread. Damn spoilers

The entire Renault F1 team makes me sick. Fisichella, for blocking Mark Webber, Ferry Alonso for complaining about loosing pole when who knows what Michael was gonna do that lap. And ol' Flavio for putting the team of evil together.

F1 '07: ANYONE BUT RENAULT!

NOTE: I am not tifose (spelling? You know, Ferrari fan) nor a Michael fan. In fact I have no rooting interest in F1 at all.

Brilliant race until two specific cats went up in smoke..

That's pretty funny. I myself have only been subjected to a few races with the English commentary. I thought it would be better than the Speed boys here in the States. It wasn't.

was quite a good race! to all those people who havent seen it: its worth watching:) one of the better races. shumacher was on form, from 22nd to 5th, his performance was amazing! alonso's race was pretty good, too:) . webber was so close, but then retired with engine problems:nervous: :nervous: .

Just set fastest lap, Schmi did...1.15.1 apparently, four laps to go before the end

With regards to the English commentary, it is pretty dull...always makes me sleep Mr. Allen does! But we have to put up with it....Just wishing Murray Walker was still around, or someone like him!

James Allen: there goes Fisichella overtaking in a race that is hard to overtake. Schumi overtakes 6 cars with no mention :(

Michael Schumacher: fastest lap of the race :) Go Schumi!

All of you guys that hate Schumie will soon hate Alonso, it's the same thing over and over again, you guys should move on from hate and start looking at this from an objective point of view.

The rest of the year is going to be so BLAH just because of that incident, Alonso will cruise to the World Title, once again and next year, Alonso's hater will start to pop up....! Doh!

I do agree with you, Div. It is a cyclictic(sp) thing.

One has to remember that for a sport to be interesting, there must be someone or something about the sport that people should "hate" and "love" as it allows people to express opinions and create a sort of "relationship" based on their feelings toward a driver/team/thing/object.

On topic, i felt that the race, while mildy interesting, didn't really qualify for the commentators to pronounce it: "Very interesting and eventful" to qoute one of them....At least, that what i can remember from what they were saying...

Div is back

I don't think so. I never hated Hakkinen. And besides, I do believe what MS did today was very impressive, i just don't get why he did what he did yesterday, It just didn't look like an innocent mistake, especially coming from such a talented driver... with an history of dodgy racing tactics.

Yay for Super-Dave!!

He definitely has the right chin for the job...

I have never hated Michael and have never liked FA!

If and when Michael Schumacher should retire, I hope that he does become a Team Principal of his own Formula 1 Racing Team! Bring it on Schumi :)

Coulthard was brilliant!!
Kept clean all race and held it together. Him on the podium more than makes up for Kimi's engine blowing up.
Lets hope DC gets some more good results in the future!

Slick Rick

Ye, good on you DC! It seems an age since you were last on the podium! And in Monaco at that!

Poor Webber. Poor poor Webber, he could have won that race, he was on a longer stint and was faster than Alonso.

Join Renault for next year, mate. ;)

Best move of the race: Kimi going to his boat instead of the pits, brilliant!

Well driven by DC too, great job getting Red Bull's first podium in F1, first of many I'm sure.

i hope more races this year are like that one, coz that was a very good race. can't wait until the UK grand prix in a few weeks. i hope david and jenson do well on home ground, come on uk!!!!!!!:) :) :)

wont be worth watching england play in the world cup (f1 and world cup clash) , i bet everything i have we will lose 2-1:nervous: :nervous: :guilty:  :grumpy:
thats why i dont like football, its so predictable.

On the saturday of the British GP they are showing the match on big screens once Quali has finished...

Smashing...

Oh I forgot to add, that must have been one of Button's worst races, ever. He actually had to keep Albers in the Midland at bay...
