Great job miata13B! It's about time someone said something to them. I stumbled across the site a while back, but I laughed at it too much to even think of emailing the maker of it.

They've been in business at least a year. They have had nearly 7,000 visitors. With a 10% turnover, their profit would be.........

well, $700 total with that many clients. I wish I could get their e-mail addresses to show them how they have been robbed.

Just think of the people who have kept paying though. I don't think I need to say more about that though.

Well, 10% is the average. That site has NO backwards links, NO page rank (which explains the low "hit count") & NO product...... I guess 10% was overly optimistic!

Miata- I love the E-mails!

Wow, well done miata13b...I wonder what this dude will come up with next...

It's the same as anything. If someone is willing to pay for something, then there's a market.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. After all, there are hundreds of books on the GT3 game in general, and you guys, many of whom are, or pretty much are, elite, are slagging off people who need that leg-up in performance. Ultimately, you hardcore racers aren't going to get any benefits from a settings site, because you can set your cars up just as quickly probably better, and for nothing. You understand the game - be that from an engineering perspective, or simply lots of playing time.

Buing stuff off the internet is always Caveat Emptor. If someone is desperate enough to pay for settings, and too lazy to search for free ones, well they deserve what they get.

Me, I'd rather set the car up myself, because then I actually advance my understanding.

Either way, I don't really see the problem with the site, and I think the response to Miata13B was pretty well judged.

I agree with Giles...i dont blame the guys for trying to make a fast buck...its nothing new, instead of travelling salesmen, you've got these fannies selling cr*p on the internet....

the fools are the people who buy the stuff, not the people selling it..

exactly right

If somebody did need a leg-up in perfomance, why not just come to a quality site like
gtp.gif
instead and ask around, surely that has to be better than paying for the rubbish that he's trying to sell?
